  • Hundreds of planets orbiting other stars have been discovered. More are being found now all the time. It's not surprising that more Earth-like ones are being discovered.

@OHardcorecheezeO: 25,000 years ago is no big deal in geology or astronomy. Things don't just wink in and out of existence that quickly except under very exceptional circumstances. Earth, 25,000 years ago, was pretty much the same as it is now.

  • how could there be a new planet discovered in outer space how is that really possible that is so strange and mysterous also is there such thing as a planet named super earth it doesnt sound right to me because I never knew that planets can be discovered

  • look like moon or pluto

  • @0Hardcorecheeze0 so we're basicly zooming into the past!

  • ahhh thumbs up if ur watching this in 2012 ;)

  • even though that there is new planet for us?,nothing will happen if 25000 Years to go to a kepler-22b Planet,if you can do anything, think forward dont stop improving all your ideas..

  • Fiction.

It's not that they have their heads in their asses it's that they need to justify their jobs so they can keep working. It's corrupt.

I wonder how many Trekkies I just offended :)

  • he hardcorche ....

Are u stupid ?`25000 Years are nothing for a Planet .

  • Samantha take dem back!!!!!!!!

  • o.0 in the bible it said in the ending times there will be a new planet thats somthin like that

  • "...photos sent back to earth showed winged elephant-like creatures. Turned out to be mosquitoes..."

  • THumbs up if you watch this on 2011 :)

  • @ksmmayhem i don't

  • i take it 19 christians have watched this video.

  • @pickledlovesnovas I'm a christian and I believe that we descended from primates and there are lifeforms on other planets. I believe in all the science. You don't have to be a christian to believe this.

  • i hate the nerdy names they give all the planets out there -_-

  • they talk bullshit not in1995 but in1992 was first planets outside our solar system discovered around pilsar by wolszczan and frail

  • correct me if im wrong but that planet is about 21600 million km from earth,

to make a long story short its impossible to reach it

  • I don't like the names they come up with. Too boring. I name it Joe! :D

  • its 25 light years away and not 2500 you idiots

  • The new planet is Nibiru. I have studied it for weeks now with my Sky-Watcher Explorer-200P HEQ5 PRO You can find it yourself in the south/east sky.

Very very bright, and it come closer to the earth. Not much time left humankind.

maybe just a couple of month. Comet Elenin is a lie of the goverment!

    BE PREPARED!!

  • all planets are similar to earth in some way even some moons

  • stupid,,,, but good shit... life never will have a ??sertenty?? is thatr how you spell it?? some dumb shit could fart.. lets say and shit a bannana and the vitamins or gas could even kick shit to smell like a smoothie,, blown bar, smell like stub and best where we score. this shit dosnt even make sence to me but still, its fuckin crazzy.. fak!!!! heee heeee!!!! B esin..

  • Unless they actually see a new planet, THEY HAVE NOT FOUND A NEW PLANET! All hogwosh! They say if a star seems to be pulled by gravity, that it must be a planet! All theory and no proof.Get a deep space telescope set up around or past Jupiter and maybe we will see some new planets.Until then..all speculation.

  • @fishnmaster420 Tell me about the orbiting planets of Gliese 581, I have read to be completely real. And earth-like.

  • Over 6 videos saying there are earth like planets do not let you leave a comment because it is BS ... No planet like earth has been found... Some that are kinda like it yes...but none like it... There has to be on out there.. but the US (has not) found it yet.

  • I heard they are looking for hunks like me to reproduce on this feminine planet.

  • Shit... The parasites found another planet...

  • omg they found halo reach

  • "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made... He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not…And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." - John 1:1-3,10, 14

  • "That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy." - Isaiah 65:16-18

  • humanity needs to unify to build interstellar spaceship, every human being should cooperate into it if we ever have dignity.

  • hey if it is the end of the world and the earth is crushing and we will move to the another earth

  • shit man they found a new planet and its made of water no surface no center no core just a ball of water

  • so if this planet is larger, and we lived there, we humans would have more room for more future families, right/

  • corrections: and if we lived there / right?

  • @mkloyola we would also have tougher skeletons to make up for the bigger gravity.

As far as i know it has 4G so you'd wheigh from 120 pounds in average , about 480 or more :P

  • i hate when you ask someone do you believe in life on other worlds and they say no well so you think theres no life except for us wow the universe goes on forever and we are the only life in here go ask one friend that they'll say no depending on who they are.

  • the Goldilocks planet!

  • if its 25 000 light years away, it might not even be capable of holding life anymore, light years means the time it takes for light to travel, in simpler terms, we are technically seeing this 25 000 years ago.

  • @shredder731 This is True :)

  • the planety may even not exist anymore, they are seeing starlight from 25000 years ago

  • @0Hardcorecheeze0 wait what do you mean?

  • @AgentOrange502 I think he means that it takes 25000 light years for images of this planet to reach earth.

  • @0Hardcorecheeze0 there not they look for the shodow of the star the last i cheak that ws instant darknest dont travel

  • @0Hardcorecheeze0

Mankind does not yet understand spacial compression and movement so we can't say from how long ago that light is. Yes, space that objects occupy moves otherwise how would you get spiral galaxies? The entire universe is rotating.

  • @0Hardcorecheeze0 Which is a relatively minuscule amount of time, it is most likely still there.

  • @0Hardcorecheeze0 25,000 ? lol the earth has been around for 4,000,000,000 years.....

  • @skating1611 that doesnt mean anything, its star could of incinerated it, vould of been hit by an asteroid/meteor/comet could of impacted with its moon or another planet, many possibilities

  • @FragBashers You tell me it doesn't me anything and then you say its star could've incinerated it. If you didn't know, it takes 100s of millions of years for a star to expand and billions of years for it to die out. "vould of been hit by an asteroid/meteor/comet could of impacted with its moon or another planet," HOW do you think moons form in the first place?

  • @skating1611 im talking about the fact that something could of destroyed it or left it uninhabitable

  • Facebook message at 0:52!! :D

  • @emokid43100 lol xD

  • REACH?!?!

  • YESSSS Reach Is Going To Happen!!! 8D

  • @gamefreak101xxx not in our lifetimes though :(

  • @Tavi13 darnet!!!

  • @408Slavy well with the atom launcher in Europe they have been able to get atoms at a speed of about 99% of the speed of light it's just very hard to get to the speed of light.

  • @gingercid really? thats crazy...but even if we are able to get it to the speed of light i think the human body wouldnt be able to handle speeds like that!

  • @408Slavy well accelerating to that speed would be a problem for the human body. it may take months or years to accelerate safely to that speed if in theory we could. But once traveling at the speed of light grade 12 physics taught me that our bodies wouldn't even feel it. Just like we don't feel the earth moving. Its newton's first law of motion, the law of Inertia.

  • @Tavi13 cryogenics or even antigravity chambers(stasis pods) are usually sci-fi theory on surviving the beggining or full stop of light travel.harnessing light as propulsion though is way out of grasp.

  • @MrPATSPAWN well.. Theoretically we can make a spacecraft that has some advanced solar panels to harness the suns energy as it orbits around the sun for a while. every time it gathers energy it would be used to accelerate more and more until one day we reach the speed of light. it would also use the slingshot effect from the suns gravitational pull to propel it forward. maybe that's a possibility, but its just a thought.

  • this is pretty cool but who gives a shit...20 light years is super far. that means if we were anywhere close to traveling at the light of speed it would take us 20 years to get there...however our fastest rocket today which is about 17,500 Miles per hour would take somewhere around 300,000 years to get there lol.

  • Stop worrying about life millions of light years away and worry about life in our solar system. I still think Mars could support life and that's just the start. You have Venus and Jupiter and thousands of moons. Also for the record Pluto is a damn planet they are stupid to remove it and Niburu does exist.

  • You know as its so far 25.000 light yers it may have changed by now earht was very different 25.000 years go it may have warm climates and life by now?

  • i think that every star is a sun that has planets around it since our sun is a star other stars could be suns for other planets

  • Its 20.000 light years away near the galactic center its within 5000 light years of the core, Ide love to go there when I die I will visit as a ghost and see some frozen oceans lol

  • it is 20 light years away

    maybe 10

Lightyear means that if we travel the speed of light we can get there in 10 years

if we travel the speed we are now its going to take like 100 million years

so no one can survive 100 million years

    everyone will be dead then...

  • @ThatKittyWhoCamps Its 20.000 or so light years from here so we cant go there

  • NASA modifieted the video :)

  • yea we can move deere if dis world ends lol

  • Comment removed

  • @spacewarrior light years refers to distance not time but yeah i guess so

  • i don't know anything about this really. And this probally makes no since. but wouldn't it be awesome if it was a form of earth in the past because of lightyears!

  • how do they know what can and cannot support life who knows what other oganisms can survive in.

  • Its Jurassic park!

  • They should visit it :P

  • why some of these comments about earth will burn in 2012 it seems like they want this to happen

  • Just look a little further back and you get the goody lox planet

  • 0:53 facebook chat

  • humans are the only life form in the universe. those other planets are there for us to go to when we destroy this one.

  • Jupter isnt the biggest in our galaxy theres planets much bigger then the sun

  • of course there are more than a million planets out there.Human life is too small to figure it out.

  • why does it have to be "like earth" to harbor life? the universe is very very very diverse....

  • O when we went to the moon they told us never to come back so they aren't going lol NASA keep stupid secret that we as human know

  • It just happened to mars now it our turn mars was under attack ten years ago bye the sons of god ( giant alien human like) because they had god weapons but mars refused the signal so it was a battle mars lost and they seen us because of lights that was on and now they are on the moon watching us to see the weapons we are building to make us die out in 2012 the planet line up with the sun and tells every planet with life on it so

    The battle begin Soon

  • Only 5 times the mass of earth? Does that mean a 200lbs man here would weigh about 1000lbs there? I'm over weight as it is, I think I'll pass thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • @kryptokrow you know you eat at mcdonalds all the time. so shut up!

  • we are so little...... yet we are killing us each other.. pathetic

  • @14981498 I agree. Its just people just cant agree on things. Its sad.

  • @14981498 Damn.... true but what can we do. :P i think we should keep going.

  • @14981498 It's human nature.

  • These are te ones i love : 3 to 5 or 6 times the mass of our earht.

  • Well, this is good news that it could support life perfictly. I thik we must find a way to go there. Otherwise, the sun will die someday, but even before the day that the sun will die, it massive energy will first burn all the planets first when it comes to red gaint. If we could go there it iwll be very helpful for us to continue living even on a place we never been before.

  • Pandora?!

  • land a solar camera satelite to a fast moving asteroid or comet going towards the direction of planet gliese once asteroid enters glieses solar system [hitching a free ride] it then is roboticly controlled to eject from the asteroid fly to planet gliese then leave it there circling glieses orbit obtaining photos and information for future visits

  • @bboyallstarsoz Interesting idea but it would not work, unfortunately. It (the system in question) is 25000 light years away, no asteroid (a comet is little morethan that, just heated to release gases = tail) travels nearly that fast. Even if it did, it would take 25000 to reach it and then begin the transmission wich would take how long to get back here?

  • the earth will burn in 2012 and God will put his new beings here

  • @poopoopaula101 why do people think that the world will end in 2012? why will it end?

  • @1andrewman1 idk y...i really don't know.

  • @1andrewman1 it won't end it's just a hoax

  • @poopoopaula101 And what scientific facts do you have to support that theory? I'm guessing none.

  • @Irishsoldier1916 lol "scientific facts"

  • @poopoopaula101 Yes? Facts which are proved by science, research and extensive study? You know, the kind that allowed us to even realize there were other planets and that the sun didn't revolve around us? lol

  • Ya know, with this bit of information, and a $1.00,you can buy a Hershey Bar. Talking about the biggest " Who gives a damn" ? When they start taliking about a planet under 10 light years away I then get excited.

  • all legends state that man is not from planet earth have you ever wonderd why man is the only species on the planet that has to sheild his eyes from the sun?

  • @patcts Many animals do, actually.

  • Call It Pandora lol rofl.... Oh its not funny :(

  • no neacaseraly if scientists put some work into the theory of space flight then we may just get some where think of it if we developed a wormhole drive....with in 3 mins you'd be right over that planet plus even if we can't get near it in our life time out children's great grankids or futher along the line could one day be standing on the surface of that planets

  • @charliecroc1

I don't think our bodies can't withstand moving at light speed.

  • @SgtThom

I was reading something there and aparently we could only reach 99.99% of lightspeed due to the laws of phisics and that when we get closer to lightspeed time slows down so the stress would be normal if we started gradual speed acceleration but instantly got from stop to light speed would rip the human body into bits and peaces

  • Why waste time studying other planets when there's a huge chance we'll never go to them? We don't have the time. It'll take more than a lifetime.

  • @x3losahhface Because, maybe, studying other planets allows us to know more about our own, in ways that we cannot perceive just by looking at or studying our planet alone. It helps us to learn more about the future, thus, we can learn to predict and avoid certain things.

  • @x3losahhface True but we NEED to find a way to get to other planets and solar systems. Our sun will eventually burn out and our planet will become non-inhabitable. So it's kind of like a race against time to find an alternative planet to live on. Think of it in a more positive way, we are getting closer to attempting a launch to Mars so anything is possible with enough time and resources

  • @x3losahhface its not a waste of time my friend.. i with the group of some astronomers and scientist is continuing the study of my great grandfather.. this study's objective is "how to travel using lights speed/years. if we are successful with this study. we sure will share to the world the universe we knew..

"we knew something the people of the earth doesn't know. time travel is not just a mere imagination" :)

    -ecc

  • kind weird when u think about how the univrse is always expanding, that would mean that if u traveled fast enough u could reach the end of it?

  • the act of observation with limited perceptions, created the universe we know. But the Universe has many more aspects. One of those aspects, is consciousness.

  • i wonder whats beyond the galaxy clusters hubble took picture of,a completely different universe, strange things?

  • think if god didnt exist then how would we die or see ghosts OMG think ppl we have brains! He is real!!!!!

  • @vneom12354 Those are your beliefs. What makes you think that ghosts and death is a phenomenon related to God's existence? There's no concrete proof that can clearly show those two facts are related. Look, I agree, we have brains and also the capability of reason or consciousness, which leads me to think that, in any matter, we have to be reasonable. And as you know, the existence or the non existence of God is the biggest human controversy. Both sides win and loose at the same time.

  • the world has been here for 4.54 million years and everything of something has hit it and it is still in orbit u may believe is planet X but keep that stuff to your self theyre r kids on this planet so shut the heck up u may believe in bigfoot, UFOs, and aliens but some may not everything could be a myth if u have proof that the world may end prove it jerks!

  • @vneom12354 you sound like a complete moron. first of all, the earth isnt 4.54 million years old, the dinosaurs were extinct 65 million years ago.

  • how did they know the weight?

  • humans only knw 20% or less from the universe

  • @13EDDY2007 so, I'm thinkn' you may have made up that percentage (less is likely right), but I'm SURE you missed 25% of the word "know" ! :)lol

  • The Universe is a wonderful thing, that humans cannot understand at a 100%

  • @ksmmayhem we can't even understand 0,00001 % O:

  • @ksmmayhem nobody understands it at 100 well actuallt not even 1 percent

1 percent of our oceans have been discovered

  • @ksmmayhem Hi sir :) Out of curiosity, do you think that has something to do with the fact the we can only use 10% of our brains? Perhaps the creation of the universe is impossible for us to comprehend? hehe I'm just asking :) Thanks!

  • @MarleeAnn1994 Actually, according to recent researche, the "we use only 10% of the brain" is not true.

  • @YDDES If you mean studies that aim to make it look only 10% of the neurons are firing, you are correct. If you say every human uses their brain to the full 100% even though 100% of the area is active, you are wrong. If you ever saw those videos where they compare a compulsive serial killer brain with a "normal" brain, you will see an area with increased activity in the front. Compare it with your computer. All the parts are obviously in use, but rarely if ever are they stressed to capacity.

  • @YDDES Also, your brain is far more active and has far more neurons firing when you are asleep. Brainwaves also change. Certain drugs have that effect too. We use 100% of our brain, but I will not for a second believe we use it for more then 25% of it's capacity. Well, except maybe Einstein, Tesla, Newton and various others.

  • @lesleyhenriquez Well, all I can say is that all brains are different, and we use bigger or smaller parts of them at different times.

  • i still wounder how alien could come from their planets to our earth but all we can do is go to the moon

  • well they're probabily more advanced than us ur question resembles to this one: how come we're able to fly but the ancient chineese couldn't ? whatever.....

  • @zetrino true true

  • i want to name it planet of the pies :)

  • maybe the planet has its own name already??

  • now that's an exciting thought!!!

  • @Detoxhurb

so did the lands in both americas, australia and new zealand

    but who cares now anyway

  • @Detoxhurb true...we think that we are the ony ppl in universe

  • surely life on this planet, but our technology does is weak, there is some technological advancement, such as super machines? something like this?

  • Well.. if it is advanced, they may not need machines.

Maybe just the power of the mind...

  • How the hell you know there is life on this planet?

And no we don't have the technology to travel even one light year -.-

  • the universe is a wonderful thing that humans cannot understand at a 100%

  • I'm moving there

  • 4 times the mass? How much more gravity is that?

  • @Manofaction0 prolly ull weigh 40 more pounds depending on the density, asuming its a rocky planet

  • oh, oh

    Its called the planet Cybertron

    yep it is

Megatron and the Decepticons live there

  • the new planet in solar system is Gliese

  • I dont know it is true

  • the humas will see just how comun life is in the universe!!! unique?? psss

  • i go to mars and jupiter

  • i feel like history repeats its self.. adam and eve will start in that planet x they call it.. thats what i think not believe just think.

  • 2012,, 12th planet the number 12.. very interesting..

  • Why give it such a big name?

  • it make's it more fancy ^.^

  • @ksmmayhem actually the name is the name of the star it orbits then a lower case letter like b or c

  • @brutaka359 im sure the short name is titan, i remember seeing it on tv :)

  • @atomxb Titan? I don't think so. Titan is a moon of Saturn.

  • @brutaka359 I'm not sure, but I think that the planet's name is, apparently, big because in its name, by rule, has to be the year in which it was found, the initials of the discoverer, the constellation's and many other characteristics. Also, despite making it harder to remember, makes it easier to catalogue, which, in its turn, facilitates locating him on the telescopes.

  • im belong in that planet that is so very boring so i came to earth and now im happy living in earth ^_^

  • it's called nibiru, and the red dwarf sun that it circles around is called something else. it has sister planets which circle around too, and they all have moons. It's a water world with land and a certain portion of it would be habitable in a give temp range with life assistance. I wonder if they wouldn't have mermaids living there after some time, much like earth's life in the oceans formed here first. lol, alien dolphins : )

  • niburu isnt a red dwarf you tard it cirlces a red dwarf star kind like a sun theres 5 other planets in the red dwarf planets good look it up

  • wow nasafakedit is not only humanmokeyworld but now qtraiders40 as well, his dad still raped him though

  • fakery
