  • I can't come back! I don't know how it works! Good-bye everybody!

  • looks like something you'd win at the fair.

  • Very nice - D 0.5m x 10m/s x 30 pieces can be 500W.....and it is very funny...

  • wery goooood at virst i did lath bur that wires good

  • Good job! I had a similar idea 18 years ago. I wrote several environmental groups about it and they all said I was crazy. "It'll never work". Thanks for proving them wrong. Keep up the good work.

  • how about reability? Defence from huricane? What gas are you use for ballons? How long this system can work before refuils?

  • just saw this on popular mechanics cool stuf

  • That could be used with a kite

  • Great Work!

  • the airplane propeller could be used for wind turbine blade ?? waiting your reply thanks a lot !

  • what is the efficiency of this machine vs a fixed tower machine ? Since the air flows over airfoils in all sorts of directions in the serpentine configuration the efficiency of each set of blades is not optimum. Also as the length increases the weight increases and hence it cannot go higher up to grab the high wind speeds.

  • The high blade speed, combined with the unpredictable motion of the sky serpent makes it a perfect migrating bird shredder.

  • Hi Doug, Very interesting concept, but if they are miles long, what do you plan to do to avoid having airplanes flying into them and destroying both the planes and your turbine? I suspect you will have to deal with that before you can sell any, even if it is just for your personal liabilty concerns, let alone getting permits to install them. Also if the wind stops, won't the cable and rotors tend to come down to the ground? Keep on inventing kewl stuff!! Stan~

  • I think that's what the balloons are for...to keep it all up in the air.

  • I think its a great idea and it looks real cool. Do you think maybe a series of cables and towers could replace the balloons?

  • not sure how long that would last

  • That gave me an idea - you could put Helium balloons on a flexible shaft with wind turbines on and generate electricity

  • ...isnt that his idea? exactly?
