@thelittlegamefreak with the D60 you can't record PAL or color in 60Hz mode, it must be in 50Hz mode,

on the wii you can't set it to 50Hz, PM me for more info

in europe its pretty tricky to record in colour with a dc60 because it cannot record colour however the newer model the dc60+ can record pal-60 the standard format used in most european countries (the plus sign indicates it can capture pal-60) also the dc60+ has much better quality all round

@mcclurify it depends where you live, if you live in america dc60 works fine with their own formats but it cannot record pal60 if you live in Europe the simple solution is to use the same setup that you have with your dc60 but buy the DC60+ for about 15£/ 10$ the + sign means it can capture pal-60

You need DC60+ for 60Hz without the + it only does 50Hz.

OMG i just brought an EasyCap DC60 off amazon and its in the mail and people are telling me that it doesn't work on vista and also it only records Black and white on PAL 60. PLEASE GUYS TELL ME IF THIS IS TRUE!!! (i have the DC60 not the DC 60+)

I got an Easy cap, not sure the make or model (its balck and looks like a stick with a green light and easycap on it, like a use stick with leads) and I recorded using Sony Vegas and Vista but now i use Debut and Vista or XP, it whould work fine

Yeah, It only reocrds in black and white on 60HZ. Kind of annoying... But you can still run a few games with 50hz.

Basic EasyCaps DC60 v2.1A, v2.1B and v2.1C have Philips chipset and not any support to PAL60 or NTSC-433 that You need with 60Hz games.

You must buy better EasyCap DC60+ v3.1B that have Empia 2861 Chipset with full support to PAL60 and NTSC-433.

YES - DC60+ have Empia chipset and full support to PAL60 and NTSC-433 that You need with these newest 60Hz games. Do not buy basic EasyCap DC60 - You must buy EasyCap DC60+ or EzCAP116 if You want all colors with these 60Hz games. I am selling these both in Ebay - link is in my YouTube channel.

I have used many softwares. With Windows: Mostly Ulead Video Studio v10.0 but also Movie Maker, ArcSoft ShowBiz, Debut, VirtualDub and AmCAP. With Mac: Mostly VideoGlide but also ArcSoft VideoImpression and Final Cut Pro 8. Movie Maker and AmCAP doesn't work well in Vista with EasyCaps.

I recommend ArcSoft ShowBitz DVD 2. The best free capture program is VirtualDub.

I have also tried Pinnacle Studio 9 and it works with EasyCap DC60+ v3.1B. I like that ArcSoft Showbitz is the best, then comes Pinnacle and then Movie Maker.
