The "disturbing" items are how many food violations can you spot ? No gloves, hair net or mouth guards etc...... No shields to protect processing from bugs, liquid drips or other contaminents. My dad has a picture from 1949, Jewel Food Meat Dept case, poultry, pork, beef, lamb, liver etc side by side touching. Exposed light bulbs, no cover, how many violations can you see

@jbadal1 I think they don't have to wear gloves since all the meat is going to be cooked which would kill the bacteria. The only time it would be an issue if someone has worms and gets worms on the meat that burrow inside it and its cooked rare.

@msujason08 Well, it's safer if they don't wear gloves because they will wash their hands more as the hands feel dirty. With gloves you don't feel the need to wash you hands, so the gloves are put in the morning and taken out in the afternoon, never changed, never washed, touching everything.
