Hey. I have a 1999 Mazda Protege DX. My car won't start. I had the alternator tested yesterday , and the alternator passed. But i previously bought a remanufactured starter w/ solenoid . but it still wont start. when i turn my key it makes a one click sound.
today im going to get the starter tested to see if it is good or not.
please email me with info or tips or helpful suggestions
This is good, most techs won't do this. It wouldn't be a bad idea to swap out the cables as these are wasted by the time the battery is. The O.E. ones are too small anyway.
@240SSONLY $60-80 an hour man ... thats why i am going to school after my computer course... as a mechanic so saved me a money hit a michanic charging me hundreds
@garloks i dont recommend you do that... working on other peoples' cars is VERY diffrent then working on your own... besides, the automtive industry is fucked thanks to this amazing economy the US is running... im so glad i left, quality of life is def not in the united states...
stick with electrical engineering or computed based jobs... they wont go out of style like car maintenance jobs will... trust me coming home with dirty finger nails form sweating all day is not as cool as you think..
Thank you very much for the tutorial. Your explanation is clear, concise and the video quality is excellent. It has been very helpful in diagnosing my starter problem. Keep up the great job. In these days of economical hardship, your effort is well appreciated.
