My basset hound Droopy does this too! He goes up the stairs to the trampoline but I carry him down lol He looks just like yours, My vet thinks it's perfectly normal for mine. I don't think they are being in any way cruel-bassets like to play like that. I love this video :)

Please stop doing this to your Basset. Ask your vet if he thinks that bouncing a Basset on a trampoline is good for the pup's back, then ask your vet how much the surgery would cost for ruptured disks, then ask how many bassets actually walk afterwards. Basset's have very long, fragile spinal columns. You owe your pup a good long life. I say this a Basset owner. Please stop doing this to your pup.

Actually firstactdiscovery, it's more likely to hurt his hip, bassets are bad with their hips. But the kid looked like he was being nice and careful, and Fred didn't seem to mind, he was more concerned with taking a chunk out of that kids butt. My bassett used to play the exact same way.
Yeah I wouldn't say he's fat at all. Bassets come in all shapes and sizes,some have more loose skin than others and some look skinny (I prefer more skin!)

=[ ,y 6 year old basset has heart worms and has to do his overnight stay at the vet tomorrow.. he might die. but if he lasts past the first 6 hrs of his meds hed be fine.

be careful wen your on a trampoline with a basset hound because if u jump too hard next to them u could hurt their back

Actually firstactdiscovery, it's more likely to hurt his hip, bassets are bad with their hips. But the kid looked like he was being nice and careful, and Fred didn't seem to mind, he was more concerned with taking a chunk out of that kids butt. My bassett used to play the exact same way.

Yeah I wouldn't say he's fat at all. Bassets come in all shapes and sizes,some have more loose skin than others and some look skinny (I prefer more skin!)

that basset is REALLY fat. it seems like i'm seeing more and more obese bassets everywhere i look. is it really that hard to feed your dog a little less people food and take walks a little more often??
