  • nice vid, but just a simple actic british army sleeping bag is fine, i use the arctic in summer but leave the zip un dun, and you get cushion affect to cos its very thick bag.

  • way to take FOREVER dude..

  • Nice info on here mate. Cant beat it. I might have to move to Spain soon too if it dosnt get any better!

  • I think the old mattress thing was called a palliasse.. Sound right?

  • Cheers mate, thats the word LOL

  • Seen a lot of "roll-up" sleep systems, but your is the most comfortable I've seen by far.

  • ive used a normal survival bag, the hi vis orange ones in the same way as the bivvy bag before, filled it with straw and grass to make a kind of matress, worked very well,

that and a military ipk above and bobs your uncle

  • Looks like you hve a good solid sleep system there, glad you posted this!

Those USGI ponchos are a good peice of gear to have, though they are kind of jack of all trades master of none, i.e. they make a fine tarp, but not nearly as good as an actual purpose built tarp, it gets the job done fine though. Poncho liners on the other hand I haven't used in forever. Everyone I know just calls them ranger blankets or woobies, and uses them as a blanket. Never seen anyone line a poncho with one.
