@celyriv well to get it to sound like mine you would have to install a 220/220 cam with 112 lsa i have original maifolds with no catalytic converters and a after market exhaust with a cut out past the converters

@celyriv its ok the lsa is pretty much the gap between each lobe. A wider LSA figure, i.e. 112-116 degrees, moves the lobe centerlines further apart and will smooth your idle due to the decrease in overlap that it creates. The lower the figure, i.e. 106-110 degrees, moves the centerlines closer and will increase bottom end power, but your idle will suffer along with it

@celyriv and the valve springs i changed to some comp cam beehive springs...i did not change the pushrods but i recommend you change them so you can get the correct setup

@1411jjlh the 220/220 cam is great for a 5.3 and the one on this video is my truck i just have another account..i had original manifolds with a cut out just past the cats on the exhaust and a flow master box towards the back with no tip...theres alot of things you can do to your truck it just depends what exactly it is you want

Can you explain to me what a cut out is and how or where o get them? And how are they opened or closed? I've seen what they look like but never really knew.

@Lowridas10 its a small pipe that comes out of the exhaust pipe, its installed before the exhaust box.. it can be homemade or purchase at a muffler shop.. It usually comes w/ a cap, that allows to open & close the cut-out... the engine will sound really strong, when its open.

i dont know about more videos since my truck is in the garage i havent used it...but in terms of my opinion on the cam...this cam is a great cam for the 5.3 its not that of a big cam but not small either its just in between...its great to drive on the street and pulls great without alot of modifications on ur truck...my mpg stayed almost the same before and after didnt know much of a diffrence which is good...when i really noticed my mpg go down is once i put a new tranny and stall..

the sound you are hearing is just from the cutout, removed catalytic converters and still has the original monifolds....i have a flowmaster exhaust but u cant hear it unless the cutout is closed
