In 74,This album along with apostrophe convinced me of his genius and greatness and I was only 14 and knew this guy was our modern day Mozart. No one came close.
@MrLronhoover She is great, no question, but she always plays mallets or sticks (marimba, xylophone, etc...). That's an electric piano solo at 4:11, GD all the way.
@MrSteveSlide No doubt, the 4:11 mark starts Georges solo in this monster - 5 solos in this beautiful song - Bruce, Ruth, George, Ralph/Chester, Frank...
I saw them in '06 and '07. 2006 was much better because Napoleon Murphy Brock and Terry Bozzio were there. But by 2007 Dweezil had improved a lot more, he sounded more like Frank in his playing.
What a GREAT concert that was. Dweezil and the band were much tighter than last year when they opened for Dream Theater. And of course RTF IV was insane!
At 7:00 prepare for the onslaught as FZ tears it up while Tom Fowler lays down the phattest bass work you've ever heard!!!! makes you wish Zappa had just let that part play out longer.
i didn't knew this album until some months ago..... i borrowed it from my university's library... crazy hu??? any way, it does worth listen to..... :) one of the best performances of frank and the second form of the mothers.... enjoy, peace... :)
This is the most beautiful song ever conceived by man.

MY strict, conservatory trained music teacher laughed his ass off when he first heard this album. I had to wait days to get it back from him.
He later became a staunch Zappa fan, defending Zappa's writing as the only rock music with a pedigree.
