@chris12dec It's partly a satire of this but more a satire of Love Thy Neighbour. I doubt if enough people were exposed to this to create an impact. The only mistake Spike and Sykes made was casting Spike in that role.

If there was instead an Asian actor with an Irish accent it would have run for years. All the caucasian characters are made out to be idiots. Caucasian actors playing racial stereotypes was already becoming a problem by then. That's why It Ain't Half Hot Mum never gets repeated.

having watched the whole series hoping otherwise to find some laughs amid the non PC contoversy. WHAT A BUMMER! awful script, embarrassing terms esp used by Kenny Lynch the black guy. More a political rant than comedy & not funny apart from a few Spike Milligan bits where he is 100% convincing as an Indian guy & not just a jokey send up. For the amount of known names in this you'd expect it to be much better. AVOID for entertainment, WATCH to see how wrong they were making this & then flog it.

Always leaving mess: Take Top Cat for example. He thought he was the best cat, and he wasn't even a real cat; he was a stereotype. Accurate one too if you ask me.
