  • I have made faster

  • Got Any Programming sample ?? for this ?

  • @thesomeoner Heey guy you made a good job

  • can u teach me how to program light tracing using mindstorm??

  • @richardwebb2112 lol

    umm, sorry about that

just try and do the same thing with 1 sensor

doing it with 2 sensor's is like cheating :P

  • it isnt fast but track is short..

  • can you send me this program agree ?

    Thanks

  • Nice job, but mine's it's not the fastest or most efficiant one I've seen. Still, nice job.

  • good job Nice Good+Simple+Fast= Fast Line Follower Robot xD

can you share the program (NXT G) i Could use some help :)

  • no offence but that isnt something to be proud of

  • @Michael7295 And why is that?

  • @richardwebb2112 well the track is short, does note really apposes any real difficult turns or absticals and its the same turn all the way around. i guess what im trying to say is that all though it may be going fast, it is doing the same 4 turns over and over again, meaning there is no variation's that the programing has to account for.

  • @Michael7295 I think you are missing the point somewhat. But thanks for watching and your input!

  • I would say it's not too difficult with two light sensors?^^

  • ... my friend did one in 6 seconds with one light sensor. PID FTW!

  • @robloxperson23 cool, got the link?.....

  • @richardwebb2112

    might post it somewhere.

  • @robloxperson23 Hey, can you give me the link?

  • Comment removed

  • im building with two light sensors and a color sensor in the middle.

  • I would suggest you watch it again

  • try gears on the motors and set one on 100 power and the other on 50 if it saw black then vis versa for white and it will go in about 5/6 seconds

  • it doesnt even follow it once it gets back around to the start line

  • Correct, it makes an approximation based on the hashed lines.

  • @richardwebb2112 I guess it doesn't. It just keeps the line between 2 light sensors so both see white, but when the line quickly changes direction it still sees both white and goes further on. So no approximation here.

  • ive saw a faster 1

  • Excellent, was that at school?

  • I made mine with one....took about ten, fifteen seconds(probably the latter). I'll have to time it.

  • im doing 3 light sensors and 4 now :)its just ausome programing! :D

  • how did you program this.. we are doing something similar in our engineering course for school, our current bot has 2 light sensors. our's does not go as fast as this. how can we speed it up?

  • ULB ?

  • ive seen faster, and with crossroads

  • Not on this course then... hence the "8 seconds" timing....

  • You used two light sensors, but try use 1 )))

  • We used 1 to start with. Then we wanted it to go faster so we used 2.

  • That's really easy...Try making one with one light sensor that swings around. It'll make it very smooth and fast.

  • This is actually faster than a single line sensor.

  • your line follower is not fast...esp for one using two sensors.

  • Can't wait to see yours...

Well, when you've finished putting little lights on your pc case...

    :-)

  • wow that was quick!!!...oh wait there are 2 light sensors!

  • i made one with 4 light sensors and a 1:4 gear ratio now that was freakin fast

  • Can you send me the program for that one?

  • All these people aren't really thinking when they design these robots. You only need 1 light sensor.

  • Correct, you only need 1 light sensor to make a functioning light follower. That wasn't my aim though. I wanted to make the fastest. Clue's in the title....

  • i thought wtf, but when you use 2 light sensors, it's easy...

  • Good job.

  • I was like how? Then i saw two light sensors!!

  • Can you send me plz the programm ?

I'll send you a message with my e-mail.

    great job =)

  • sweet!!

can you post up a video on a different track (lines).

I would like to see how it react when the line it follows is branching into 2.

  • Wow, two light sensors! Cool!

  • dnt call it fastest even by mistake, i have made much faster than this ..... which can run on a speed of 75cm/sec

  • I don't think you made it follow the line, but instead just programmed the motors to drive around the oval.

  • it did actually respond when the lights went over black

  • how does it just glide over the START?

  • holy crap.

  • hey, great job.

    Send it to me too.

  • that is so awesome. i have been trying for ages to get a 2 light sensor line follower. could u please send me the program. send a message to me for my email. thanks

  • What are you trying to make? I just made a simple one in like 5 min. If left light dark - turn left, if right light dark, turn right, if both are light, go straight. Then its just a matter of tweaking the speeds of turning and angles and such.

  • Im more of a fan of RCX because it's sensors are a bit better, but i do have NXT as well. That was pretty amazing i must say. I like the design, ingenious, double light sensor on either side of the line. Good Job.

  • amazing!
