  • This was really really helpful!! I have been trying to learn a few little country tunes without sitting down and copying a full cover of a song. You explained it really well and it was easy to understand! I live in the west united states, who knew I had to "go" to england to learn the real stuff haha...Thanks a bunch! Hope to see more quick lessons soon! :)

  • Excellently explained thanks

  • country sucks

  • Hey and thanks for the great music!

  • Nice one thanks!

  • thanks bro

  • i thought u were john mayer at first

  • say "country" again. it sounds obscene

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • great lesson mate, keep them coming

  • Thx! Helped a lot.

  • Thankyou very damn much man. It helped me alot. I usually play soft alternative music and blues. But has helped alot man

  • This is good, no doubt, but a lesson here is- after playing sitting down for so long, the guitar ends up under your chin. Making it very uncomfortable if and when you are standing onstage, therefore making your playing not as good as it should be. --So, practice standing up! (The only reason I even bothered is because this vid comes up with instructional vids) --- Rock on.

  • they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!!!

  • oh my god.......this is fantastic.. O_O i'm a boy but i love you ù.ù <3

  • Great lesson friend, cheers from Brazil .

  • I love this lesson but I think I'm missing something after you hammer on the melodic note. Are you hitting another string, strumming up or down. You are going so fast that I can't pick it up. It sounds like there are four notes, to include the hammer on note, once you get moving fast. I hope you do more video's. You are probably the best and easiest to understand (other than the british accent :) )

  • Thanks for this video, very instructional.

  • cheers brother that was bloody awsome!! easy as to understand. u should keep it up

  • yes, really great, thanks

  • good on ya mate great vid nobody explains it on any kind of good level.

  • Thank you for the good video but I was wondering why you wouldn't use the A note on the third string as the melodic note?

I know this is the interweb so let me clear up this is an honest question not a critisim and thanks again for the vid

    subbed

  • nice

    thanks

  • its so hard to finger pick it fast!

  • i loved it!thanks!

  • How do you know what string in used in a chord to play the "melodic" hammer on part i still am confused with that.

  • When playing the

*G* chord 5th string hammer on 0 to 2nd fret,

*C* chord 4th string hammer on 0 to 2nd fret

*D* chord 3rd string hammer on 0 to second fret

    Hope that helps :) kieron

  • country uses a lot of major pentatonics so when you play the chords KNOW WHAT notes actually make up not only the chords BUT notes in the scale

    "G" major pent: G A B D E

then when playing the chord hammer on or slide to some/all of those notes

    what sounds good to you!

no expert am I but give that thought a try

  • is this an actual song? if it is what is it called?
