The tempo was fairly consistent, anyone that's played music for more than a year can see THAT xD.
And I think putting a bit of your own twist on it was nice as well.
The only thing that I could see that needs a bit of work is your strumming patterns while singing. Which is understandable.

Like the guitar but the singing doesn't reflect the emotion in the song, there's a reason dustin screamed/grunged his voice on cirtain parts and sounded defeated on the end, your singing seems more like just textbook good singing with a happy-ish feel.

@ollyman501 I'm honestly, and I'm really not just saying this, not emo. I hated emo when if first became more prominent when I was about 17 I think. In my opinion, the whole emo thing has ruined bands like Thrice, who were my favorite band by a mile until Vheissu. It's just got worse from there, as a result of emo. So don't go accusing me of that just because I think your friends acoustic cover of Deadbolt is geat apart from the ending!

Music is timeless because other artists besides the creator are influenced enough by the original conception of the idea to recreate it themselves. @swyd7788 It doesn't have to be a cover exactly like them. If you hear any cover that thrice does, or Dustin in his solo stuff, you hear that it's never the same as the originals. Music is always opened to being changed. He did a great job.

Being a musician is taking a unique spin on things, what good would it serve to take a song and create a carbon copy? Ben does a truly amazing job putting a beautiful spin on already a moving song.
