obviously this movie shows a man with a medical problem thus causing a mental disorder. thus like some people who believe they are born a reptile and get surgery to look like a lizard. some people also believe they are jesus and god too.
people just wanna believe it's real cause it makes them feel open minded, cool, hip, free spirited, modern.
@lester5192 Have you seen this film? Because it sounds like you haven't. The character almost commits suicide over his destitution. There was certainly nothing 'cool' or 'hip' about it. (And a lizard IS a reptile, just for clarification on that strange point.)
@lester5192 you don't know why he almost shot himself. maybe it some sort of childhood abuse that was bringing that out, not being in the closet. his dad didn't humiliate him, he tortured him too. so who knows?

I assume you're referring to the man who has all the tattoos. He does not literally believe he is a lizard, and even if he did, that is apples to oranges. There have been tests done on the brains of transgendered people, and the composition matches that of the gender they identify as.
hayden panettiere was in this movie :) i love her, and she is an amazing actress! my church, (Unitarion Universalist) did this play, and i played there teenage daughter :) its a sweet story really, and fun to do, and it inspires me because i am 15 and first coming into myself and realizing that im bisexual, and its ok :)
This is one of my Favorite Movie too. It really tells here how important to a person to be true to him self and to be accepted him or her whatever sexuality his/her have. I do hope someone who truly appreciate this movie and has this movie I do hope he or she will upload it here. I thank you so much who would ever upload the full movie of this film.
