  • Great Video! Thanks so much.......

  • Really helpful tutorial on how to play this classic pattern

    Cheers

  • This has been so helpful for me ,I have to transcribe Gadd,s groove and you have really broken everything down well to be understood (by a bass player) however I,m a little confused as to what the kick is doing, at the start of your lesson it seems to be one and 4 + then when you play the groove towards the end it seems to be one then + 3 have I overlooked the bleeding obvious here ?

  • This has really helped me. Thank you for sharing, thank you very much :-)

  • Super job dude and thanks for working this out for the rest of us.

  • Excellent! You're the only one I've seen on YouTube (except for Gadd himself) that gets this right! :-D The only thing missing (you probably know this, but since this is a beginners video you probably just left it out) are accents and some dynamics.

  • thanks!

  • very useful....!

thanks for the effort, indeed no other video as clear as yours,

    cheers.

  • Excellent Work and thank you very much! While it maybe hard for any of us, (short of Steve Gadd himself) to say that this IS without a doubt, the way to play the groove, this demonstration is by far one of the best and most likely accurate. I'm sure you'll get some people who want to argue with you etc. etc. but pay them no mind, I and many many other will have most likely been taught this groove by you and NOT them. Thanks again...I now have something a little new to work on. cool ! cool !
