@god4488 it still had plenty of AA guns and they were firing at incredibly slow antiquated Swordfish which they should have been able to hit. Having the wrong AA guns is not as big of a deal as having a none fully operational ship crewed with civilians on board.

@BlueonGoldZ the reason battleships were so succeptable to torpedoes is because their aa guns cold not aim low enough over the sides so the torpedo planes, after getting low enough, could easily drop their payload, that being said, only 1 acually hit the bismark.

What's depicted here are G4M2 or G4M3, later version of Betties that were not available until much later than the time of sinking of Price of Wales. G4M1 Betty does not look like that. Nells look alright. Also the horizontal bombing was made at much higher altitude, at least above 3000m. The bombs cannot penetrate the thick armor of the battleships below that. In the actual attack, torpedo bombers (Kanoya unit) went in first and then horizontal bombers (Mihoro and Motoyama).

Not really. Approaching from the bow means that you will be exposing yourself to more flak fire from the ships ahead of your target. Additionally, the bombs have a forward falling movement so walking them from the rear is easier to get more hit.

on a battleship nerly all of the flak guns are on the sides...big guns don't count...so bow or stern is ok...bow is just more effective because i always get an engine or magazinge hit when i go from the bow...i miss usually from the stern... just my experiences

Prince of Wales was sunk in the Indian ocean on its way to the Pacific theater to protect Singapore. Secondly, the Hood was an outdated Battlecruiser and not a battleship so it wasn't a fair contest. Thirdly, the Prince of Wales was brand new, not fully operational and not fully crewed during the engagement with the Bismarck so none of your points are valid or make any sense. Learn to spell, also.

SOME British Royal Navy ships were out dated but not all. We still had good and modern battleships, air craft carriers, cruisers and destroyers but within that mix there were WWI ships aswell. You can't say all British ships were old or else we would've lost almost every engagement but in contrast, we won almost every engagement. Look what we did to the Italians with old Swordfish planes. Also, British don't build 'crap' ships.

If you have the Mustang Pack downloaded, the G5N Liz makes this mission easier, since it carries 4 more bombs per load and has more health and seems to be a little bit faster. Plus it's bigger and more intimidating looking in the cutscenes imo.

I did this mission in Battle stations Midway and i just dropped my payloads and just did a banzi right into the rudders or engine smoke stacks to slow it down, It worker perfectly. : ) but your really good at dropping the bombs from the bettys. i suck. I just use a butt load of torpedoes

Well, Prince of Wales was defending Malaya and Singapore from Japanese attacks. Japanese forces tried to capture Malaya and Singapore for its vast resources. The Z Task Force is a big obstacle for them so they had to take it out.

This looks like an amazing game.

The only issue I've noticed, despite mostly realistic details, is that they let you freely drop torpedoes and dive-bombs. For one, torpedoes needed to be dropped at slow speeds and "on the deck." You've been fast and high at times, and they're still accurate. Also, on the Pearl Harbor mission, I saw a dive-bomb dropped more level than not, which should have bounced off, not exploded on the deck. Kind of a bummer, but I still want the game.
