  • it looks like Blessed Stephen Bellesini is just laying there looking at that picture

  • 12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those[g] who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me,[h] Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.

Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.

  • mr.BORNAGAINSAINT1,i just want to inform you that these bodies are incorruptible which means that they are not decaying......these bodies are exposed to the public to give hope, inspiration, and show the miracles of the Lord.........blessed are those who believe and don't ask for further explanation but they know that the presence and forgiveness of the Lord is with them through venerating these saints...

  • mr.BORNAGAINSAINT1,i just want to explain to you that these bodies are incorruptible which means that they are not decaying.........the purpose of exposing it to public is to give hope for the christians and to show them the great miracles of the Lord....blessed are those who believe and dont ask for further explanation but they know that god is with them through venerating these saints.........

  • Why are these dead and decaying bodies exposed for the public to see? What is the purpose for this? We are getting glorified bodies when Jesus calls us to heaven. Would you want your own loved ones exposed in this manner?

  • because the body is part of the person who has reached sanctity. There is no dualism spirit-body.

  • Some look more well preserved then others the people who passed centuries before are not so well preserved.

  • Some of them aren't as well preserved due to the way they were taken care of.

  • This is so very, VERY beautiful! Thank you for these wonderful videos you have put together. May God bless you.

  • Great historical significance! It makes me want

to learn more about them all.

  • There are so many incorrupt saints, every where, even in america like saint John Neumann, National Shrine of Saint John Neumann, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania i will tell u alot more if u want information about the incorroupt saints i love them so much

    aidan

    god bless

  • thanks for this videos

    thanks

  • There are two possibilities: This is a colossal hoax, or else it is for real. And if it is for real, how come not everyone know about this! This is quite possibly the most phenomenal thing I have ever heard about in my life - if it is real? Has anyone actually viewed these bodies in person? What is your opinion? And does anyone know if there are any on display on the east coast of the United States?

  • Many people havent heard of these miracles because they are too caught up into the world! Remember this world is corrupt, evil, and deceitful. The devil will do whatever it takes to draw people away from believing in ANY miracle. Whoever is strong enough to look or hear of a miracle and believe than you have a chance to pull away from this evil world!!

I dont really know if there are any tomb's in the USA. Many people like Bishop sheen, Theresa cooper, and Veronica Leuken havnt been canonized

  • I'm glad I came across videos like this. I feel as that it has made my faith stronger & I really think it is beautiful. It's so beautiful that I'm not really even paying much attention to the blind sheep on here

  • this song is BE NOT AFRAID.

  • Great Vid, Greetings to John Michael Talbot and his family, met him once in Nicaragua with Fr. William B. Wasson.

  • who is singing this song it is beautiful and his voice is beautiful

  • I think it might be Vince Ambrosetti. It sounds just like him.

  • Que no dejarás mi alma en el infierno, Ni darás á tu Santo que vea corrupción.

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

    Hechos Acts 2:27

Por eso dice también en otro lugar: No permitirás que tu Santo vea corrupción.

Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

    Hechos Acts 13:35

  • En un momento, en un abrir de ojo, á la final trompeta; porque será tocada la trompeta, y los muertos serán levantados sin corrupción, y nosotros seremos transformados.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    1 Corintios 15:52

  • INyouJesus is the Perfect Example of the FAILURE Sola' Scriptura.

Ephesians 4:1-16(One Body, One Spirit, One Hope, One Faith, One Baptism, One GOD) ONE, ONE, ONE, ONE. NOT 40,000all worshipping on their own infallible interpretation of Scripture. Protestentism has been more of a DISASTER to Sacred Scripture than Crack-pot Atheists ever will.

  • Tony --

Wow! I'd say you're not pulling any punches!

I think In You Jesus is genuinely seeking the Truth -- we need to pray for him that his search continues.

I agree that he is an icon in many respects: his objections to the Catholic Church are based on ignorance, not malice.

As for myself, I was a devout Catholic boy, but fell away from the Church for over 20 years, believing in reincarnation and astrology.

Thanks be to God, he drew me back!

  • I agree. Protestents object to the Church on the Basis that "Where is it in the Bible" Well? Where in the Bible did Jesus or any Apostle ask one to accept him as his "Personal Lord and Savior", Judas had a Personal Relationship with Jesus. "There are NO Alter Calls in the Bible, No Wed. Night Church meetings, and the Sabbath was moved to Sun. by the Catholic Church. Very Hypocritical on their part. Scripture Read in light of Catholic Theology/Doctine is the ONLY way it makes sense. Yes, Pray.

  • Romans 10:9

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.

Been a while since you opened your bible?

I don't object to the Catholic Church but what Jesus said in the Gospels takes precedence over any human tradition

  • Been a while since you read the Bible as a whole and took it as a whole. For centuries well meaning Men(Luther) have picked a verse here or there to make scripture say things it was never intended to say. All Catholic Teaching is Found in Scripture. Sometimes we must Utilize our critical thinking skills. But when you take the Bible as a whole and read it as it was intended to read, all of Scripture Supports Catholic Doctrine.

  • Luther understood Catholic doctrine better than most Catholics here. He and agree with him had a problem with the practice of indulgences which was paying money for the forgiveness of sins. That doctrine of indulgences was offensive to the crucifixion of Christ and his resurrection.

  • I would Hope So! Luther was a Catholic Monk, and the Catholic Doctrine does NOT condone selling indulgences. I could talk about Fundy Tv preachers. But I'm not going to throw stones. Pretty sad you had to resort to it. That's what happens when you can't stand behind your Man Made traditions of Sola' Scripture and Sola' fide that Negate the word of God.

  • 1st, The Bible teaches that Manmade traditions that NEGATE the word of God are wrong, otherwise celebrating Christmas, not in Bible. Here's some Protestent traditions NOT in the Bible. Alter Calls, one time acceptance of Christ as your Personal Lord & Savior, Faith ALONE and Sola Scriptura(Both Negate the Word of God) Advent Calenders, Wed. Night Church Meetings, Pagan Music Forms in worship services(News Boys, Third Day, Toby Mac). How did 1st century Christians worship? Read Justyn Martyr.

  • I agree Jesus was talking about this in Mark 7:7

They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.

There is nothing wrong with traditions if they help you in faith and obedience with the word of God.

One question I have is why do the 10 commandments as given to Moses differ to those of the Catholic Church. Catholic Church left out the commandment about graven images. Interesting that.

  • Because it says do not carve any idols. Same thing. Here we go with exact wording again. Refer back to what i posted about taking the bible as a Whole. Really, you're grasping at straws.

  • yes its true, most of the commandments were changed to suit the catholic church, even the most important one about God Holy day which should be the Sabbath which God specifically wanted us to worship not sunday, im a Sabbath keeper, look it up and you will see i am right.

  • Whoever is telling you these things about Catholism is sadly mistaken. Backing for ALL Catholic Doctrine is backed by scripture."Thou art Peter. Upon this Rock I build my Church". The 1st Church Council about Circumcision, the Apostles did NOT open up BIBLES. They waited for PETER to decide. "The Father has given ME ALL the Powers of Heaven and Earth""As the Father has sent ME, so I send YOU" Christ gave HIS Church the Power The Father gave him. Peter warns of Private interpretation of Scripture

  • yes but dont forget satan also believes in Jesus and i doubt he will be saved. Believeing in Jesus is not just praying to Him its obeying and following Him, do not follow man made traditions. Im just trying to help here you know i dont know anyone on youtube but i seriously care.

  • Sincerely, your Faith in our Lord is Touching and i should apologize for my sarcasm., I'm sorry. The Church did NOT change the Commandments. Go back in time to the 1st & 2nd Century and see what the 1st Christians worshipped and their Doctrines. Jesus left us a Church. Not Gideons passing out Bibles. It was 400 years before the Catholic church decided what books to put into the Bible. The first 1000 years 90% of people were illiterate. Read in scripture what Jesus says about his Church?

  • Before slandering people who have passed on be aware of James 4:11-12 which says:

Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

  • I feel alot of Grief from here sad, we should use all this and pray for the all the holy souls instead of all this negitive commenting, christ died for all to say us all, everyone and its time many saw and knew that more, his second coming is near and what i can see and read ud never know that,

Christ is our saviour and without him we have nothing , dieing on the cross is the only way he could save all, and us life after death, so long live the kings of kings our lord jesus christ our saviour

  • n people pray to saints as intorcessors why dont u go bak to where youre negativity comes from, HELL

  • why dont you read your bible i will give you all the texts that support my beliefs, and theres no need to talk like that,

  • the dead do not praise God, our Lord, nor any who go down into silence Ps 115;17 Jesus said I am the way, the truth the & light, No one comes to the Father except through Me John 14:6, That answeres all the people who continue to pray 2 saints. For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know not any thing, 4 the memory of them is forgotten Eccl.12:7. For there is no work, nor device nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave ,Eccl 9:5,6 There is so much verses in the bible about the dead

  • You're right! Those that are Dead do NOT praise God. However, those that are alive in Christ Praise him "Day and Night they do Not stop Exclaiming: "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and who is, and who is to come" Rev: 8. Either you're not reading Scripture as a WHOLE and picking and choosing verses that fit your own Fallable theology. Or You lack Faith in Jesus that Saints who die in the Glory of his Name are still Alive In the Glory of His Name.

  • ok whatever maybe you just want to believe that praying to saints is right, i dont know why i even bother, God makes it clear that the dead are dead and thats it. Ive been doing bible studies for a while now and i truly believe that we should only pray to Jesus, you pray to whoever you want.

  • The catacombs in Rome,1st and 2nd Century Christians waiting Martyrdom, wrote and etched into the prison walls , "St. Paul pray for Me" or "St. Peter Pray for Me", etc. They believe the Saints are alive in Christ. Asking a Saint to pray for you is No different than asking a Family member to pray for you. All prayer goes to Christ and is according to his will. If one understands the teaching it's quite beautiful to have friends in Heaven, especially if you have no one to pray for you

  • Tony LVNV --

Thanks for your comments. Indeed, people like Dr. Scott Hahn, who knows Scripture better than virtually anyone in the world, was studying to be a Presbyterian minister until, as you said, he discovered that the early Church looked like the Catholic Church today.

As Bishop Fulton Sheen used to observe, he had met many people who opposed the Catholic Church, but very few people who opposed the Catholic Church who actually understood its teachings.

  • I agree with the Sheen statement. In the SW, you hear some wild things about what the Church teaches. You're right, about the Church never teaching opposite the Bible. Many Protestants Get hung up on Exact Words Not Being in Scripture. Yet, Where in scripture does Jesus or an Apostle EVER ask one to accept Jesus as their Personal Lord and Savior? Even Judas had a personal relationship with Christ? Even the Devil Believes Jesus is the Son of God. Scripture must be taken as a whole, written & Oral

  • Tony --

Adding to your comments, where in the Bible does it mention the Trinity? Nowhere, yet this is a central tenet of Christianity. From where did we get that idea? The Catholic Church, of course.

Any Protestant needs to answer the following: if we are to interpret Scripture privately via the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, how come two Protestants come up with different interpretations of the same Scripture passage?

Thank goodness for the teaching authority of the Catholic Church!

  • I agree. According to the U.S. census, there are 40,000 Protestant Denominations. All guided by the Holy Spirit, yet teaching 40,000 different doctrines. One teaches Infant Baptism, another Adult baptism? The Holy Spirit is NOT Dyslexic. 1 Tim 3:15 states, "The Church is the Pillar and Bullwark of Truth" Pillar-to uphold, Bullwark-to protect. Jesus prayed that his Apostles would be 1, and his Church would be 1. Not 40,000.Only Satan could come up with this plan to divide the Body of Christ.

  • I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!

  • I feel a lot better knowing there is a SAINT who can intercede for me because it gets very lonely out here --especially with no instructions. I need a saint to talk to. They set such great examples for us all to follow.

  • Not only one saint but many,

    get to know them,

read the lives of the saints and befriend them,

how about saints we have seen like Blessed Teresa of Calcutta! and Saint Padre Pio!

  • God bless the catholic faith!

  • it's ridiculous!!!!

    i can't accept these facts!!!

  • It is the TRUTH !! you don't have to accept it. God gave you a free will !! You will go were you want to go!

  • Doesn't matter if you accept or not they are true.

thanks be to Our God, Our Heavenly Father.

Only two places to go Heaven or Hell, everyone has a free will to decide.

Jesus is the Way , the Truth and the Life.

No one comes to the Father except through Him.

Everyone is welcome to be a child of God by Baptism

  • 5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection

6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years

9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

    REV 20:5-6,9

  • Just to let the writer know that Catholic means universal. Christ wills that all come to worship him, not just Roman Catholics which are one part of his broken body. Vatican II's authority given by the Holy Spirit according to Roman Tradition and instituted by Council commands obedience by all Roman Catholics if they really believe in infallibilty. Gods grace is sufficient for all, and the witness of these incorrupt saints bears witness to the love of God in the world for everyone. Pax tecum

  • i want that too...please give me the albums

  • Who is singing? I want the album.

  • This song "Be not afraid" is included in the following album "The Troubadour Years." Check it out!

  • Thanx! =^.^=

  • the album is table of plenty by john michael

  • I am sure that certain individuals in the Church may have made mistakes from time to time but THE CHURCH as a whole will STAND. It is inspiring to see the Saints and know that they really existed and that they can intercede for us from Heaven to Heaven! THAT is reassuring and I bet I have kept them BUSY! It is hard not to condemn The CHURCH for the actions of some bad people but I can't. I LOVE THE CHURCH! Some of the people, God will have to forgive for me.

  • beautiful....

  • the saints do not intercede for us, they are dead, only jesus is our intercessor read the bible. Yes they did exist but thats it. God makes it clear that the dead are dead and God alone is Immortal

  • "the saints do not intercede for us, they are dead ??"

Tell that to all the people who have had their intercessory prayers heard and granted. There is Eternal life there is no death in Heaven!!

"Today you will be with me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43) Yes do read the Bible which comes from the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, the one which Christ founded. The Real Church!

the one not made by men!

  • "today you will be with me in Paradise" how? jesus didnt even go to Heaven that day He was dead for 3 days, he didnt go to Heaven until much later, he stayed on earth for a while and his apostles saw Him so did many others. There is eternal life but not until Jesus comes and takes us. not now. Thats man made tradition.

  • Jesus told the good thief so who am I to argue with God? read Luke 23:43 carefully, remember these are Jesus' words and He is the Truth.

Peter, James and John also saw Jesus transfigured into his Glorified body even before His passion and death!!

  • Because Jesus is God He can do anything!

On Easter Sunday He told Mary :

John 20:17 "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "

You see in Heaven there is no time, there is no yesterday today and tomorrow, only Eternity but here on Earth we are constrained by time!

Jesus is not constrained by time or space.

  • You are wrong! the saint are our friends, and they can intercede for us. THE CATOLIC CHURCH IS THE TRUTH!

  • no its not if the catholic church is the truth then why is the bible teachings so different from the church.

  • Which Things???

  • Where in the Bible does it say the saints do not intercede for us???

and where does it say the dead are dead. Are these words in the Holy Bible or yours??

The Holy Bible was compiled by the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and the correct interpretation came from the one True Church that Christ founded.

Even before the Bible was compiled there was the oral teaching of the Apostles, Church Fathers and Sacred tradition.

  • Read REVELATION 7:9-17

Seems to Me the Saints are very much Alive and kicking and they offer prayers for us!!

It also might be news to you but our souls are immortal as we have been created in the image and likeness of God. That is why there is a Heaven and Hell for eternity!

  • The saints are a good example of how all of us should live our lives. I notice a lot of them are in the religious vocations and it is proof that they are where God wanted them to be so they could give good advice to the rest of us.

  • Great Series, thank you for posting this.

  • Brother ans Sisters in Jesus Christ's one true Church, the Traditional Pre Vatican II Catholic Churct that has always preached out sidw the Catholic Faith, there is NO salvation (I think Pope Pious X ?)

  • Brothers & Sisters, we are all together as children of God. Praise the Lord!

  • Miracle. Praise the God.

  • this is truly amazing and i think science needs to stay out of it because this happened by Jesus not science

  • I love the Catholic Church and I think it is neat that Pope enedict is visiting NYC!

A few bad people who pretend to be priests do not negate what the Catholic Church is!

I can't remember who said it but someone said "Upon this ROCK I shall build My Church and neither Earth or Hell shall prevail against it."

  • To Joeocho88 --

That be none other than Jesus Himself who said that! And indeed, He was saying the Catholic Church shall prevail until the end of time, and its doctrinal decisions will always be guided by the Holy Spirit, identical to the Holy Spirit's inspiration of Scripture.

    God's blessings,

    Jim

  • find in the bible where it says that

  • Sapphire Blue 000 --

The exact Scripture verse is Matthew 16:18.

BTW, the very next verse (Mt 16:19) is one of the places in Scripture where Jesus delegated the power to forgive sins to the Catholic Church. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of our seven sacraments, one of the gems of our church, one of the things even one Protestant minister I know says he wishes the Presbyterians had.

There is only one true church -- the one Jesus Christ founded, the Catholic Church.

  • the seven sacraments are catholic traditions there is no where in the bible that says we have to do all these 7 things, its man made tradition.

  • how did Jesus find the catholic church, the church is teaching the opposite of the bible, the sacrements are man made not God made

  • Sapphire Blue --

The Church never teaches the "opposite" of what's in the Bible -- after all, your Protestant Bible is derived from the Catholic Bible (although you lost seven books in the process, and at times your interpretation of Scripture is incorrect). The Catholic Church is internally consistent, as God is internally consistent -- everything dovetails with everything else.

Offer one example of where you see contradiction.

  • They lost those books because Martin Luther removed them. They did not agree with his Man Made religion. Luther Initially removed Hebrews and James, and tried to remove Revelation. James and Hebrews and maybe even another book were removed for about 1 year before Luther's followers demanded he put them back in, which he did. If a Pope ever did that, the Fundys and Evangi's would be screaming to Heaven. Yet Luther is their Hero, even though Scripture warns about adding to or removing scripture

  • When God gave the ten commandments, the second 1 was; Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth Ex 20;4 God also ordered; 'Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the Lord thy God hateth' Deut 16;22. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God Ex 20;5. Behind every idol is a literal demon. God hates idolatry

  • Sapphire Blue --

So, you'll be pleased to know that Catholics aren't setting up "graven images" when venerating these holy men and women -- God Himself set up the image (the preserved body) for all mankind to see, so that we can learn from them to imitate Christ better, much as we might learn from our committed Christian parents or an older sibling.

Also, Catholics definitely don't bow down to these saints nor serve them; we serve only the one living and true God.

  • I know what the 10 Commandments say.

    So what's your Point?

  • follow them thats my point

  • By praying to mary and the saints you are breaking commandments one and two, According to scripture, anyone who is born again by faith in Christ is a saint. Catholicism discarded the scriptural definition of a 'saint' and devised a new one, then instructed members to pray to these unscriptural 'saints' Supposedly these so-called saints 'intercede with the Father 4 us' But now i know that Jesus Christ is our ONLY intercessor, Therefore 2 suggest otherwise is but a man made tradition.

  • Sapphire Blue --

As will be true for most of my comments back to you, your objections to the Catholic Church are based on your ignorance of the Church, on what you've been told by other Protestants who also are ignorant of the Church.

Indeed, all those in heaven are saints. Canonizing someone a saint does NOT mean that others who have died in Christ are not saints; it simply means that there is convincing evidence that that individual is indeed saved and in heaven.

  • Sapphire Blue --

Point two: I presume when you pray the Creed, you conclude it like Catholics do: you state you believe in the "communion of saints." Do you know what that refers to? It means, like the souls in the place of purgation (Purgatory), we are all brothers in Christ, whether living or dead. Do you believe that once a person dies, they can no longer pray for you? Catholics in no way believe that the holy dead save us, only that they can pray for us still, just like when alive.

  • i dont pray the creed, thats man made. i cant be bothered with people like you, pray to whoever you want.

  • Sapphire Blue --

Point three: in heaven, we all will have resurrected bodies, made of real flesh, just like Jesus after His resurrection.

Do you really think when Jesus sees His mother in heaven, he reacts to her like anyone else? No way -- they have and always will have a special relationship.

Therefore, the Blessed Mother is the most powerful heavenly intercessor -- if she prays to her Son for our intentions, her Son will grant her request, just like He did at Cana.

  • Also according to the catholic praying to saints brings people closer to Christ, However you will not find this doctrine in scripture either, It is another tradition of men that neither Jesus or the bible ever taught, In fact, this practice of communing with the dead treads dangerously close to necromancy, another practise strongly condemned in the Bible see Deut18:10-12. Keep in mind that if these traditions of men are not true, then all your prayers to 'saints' are just worthless chatter

  • Sapphire Blue --

You need to answer the question I posed previously: if you believe only what's in the Bible, why do you believe in the Trinity? The Trinity is referred to nowhere in the Bible.

You believe in the Trinity because, before the Protestant split from the true Church, those "men", under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, declared this a doctrine.

  • I dont believe in the trinity, the word trinity is no where found in the bible. The Godhead is what i believe in, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

  • Where is "God the Holy Spirit" found in the Bible?

Do you celebrate Christmas? Where's it in the Bible?

Jesus says LITERALLY "Unless you eat the Flesh of the son of man and drink his blood you have no life in you" at the Last supper says, "This is My Body, This is My Blood" do you Believe It IS the Body & Blood of Jesus Christ?

1 Tim 3:15? Which Church is this? Ignatius 110ad called it "The Catholic Church" as it is known today. Where we DO receive the Body & Blood of Christ in the Eucharist.

  • i dont celebrate christmas or easter or many so called catholic traditions, all these 'holy days' are actually rooted in paganism.

  • Oh Boy! A live one. Don't Celebrate Christmas & Easter! Do you eat Pizza? Where in the Bible does Jesus tell you to eat Pizza? Do you listen to any Rock n Roll pop music? After all, the Blues scale derived from pagan slaves comunicating in the fields. Yet another Icon for the failure of Sola Scriptura. How sad.

  • you reckon, i do eat pizza i dont eat pork, so there, i dont like rock music why should i, im with God and thats all that matters, the god of this earth is satan.

  • "Unless you Eat the flesh of the son of Man and Drink his Blood , you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the Last Day. For my Flesh is True food and my Blood True drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in Him". We have this True Bread of Life at Christs Universal Church."As a result of this many returned to their former ways of life, no longer with him(Jesus)" -JOHN 6:66 Return to the True Bread

  • In You Jesus --

I'll give you this much: at least you are consistent in not believing in anything that's not specifically mentioned in the Bible.

Remember, however, that in your own Bible (look it up!) at Luke 1:48, Jesus' mother says "all generations will call me blessed."

Since you are consistent in believing firmly what's in the Bible, I expect you'll now begin to refer to Jesus' mother as the Blessed Mother!

  • Sapphire Blue --

It is commendable you want to follow Scripture -- so do Catholics -- we too believe all Scripture is inerrant and inspired by God.

Since you desire to follow Scripture, you'll be interested in Luke 1:48 -- there, the Blessed Mother says, "All generations will call me blessed."

Were it not for the Catholic Church, this wouldn't be happening -- only Catholics refer to Mary as "blessed." (continued)

  • Maybe now, following Scripture, you, as our Protestant brother in the Lord, will join us in honoring (not adoring or worshiping) our Lord's blessed mother by referring to her as "Blessed Mother."

  • Great work DrJim. It was Mary that kept me away from the Fundy's. If these people who claim to worship "The Fruit of her Womb"; Mary, who an ArchAngel and all of Heaven refer to as "Full of Grace"; Mary, who John the baptist lept as King David lept in front of the Ark of the lords Covenant; Mary, where sacred scripture proclaims "All Generations will call you Blessed"; If One Blasphemies the Mother of who they and I call Lord, I didn't want NO part of them.

  • God declares that idolaters will not enter heaven, "Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.' Ephesians 5;5. Is the catholic church dec`eiving you with vain words? you must decide that for yourself. I have more contradictions for you. but i will leave this with you for now.

  • Sapphire Blue --

Now, let me ask you a question: how can there be 40,000 Protestant denominations, each with its own brand of theology, each of which contradicts, on at least some theological matters, the other 39,999 Protestant churches, when supposedly you all are being guided by the same Holy Spirit?

Sapphire Blue, you need to answer this question yourself, through prayer, asking the Holy Spirit for enlightenment.

  • When the Catholic Church decided, amongst the many letters of the Apostles and Fathers of the Church, which letters would go into the Bible and which ones would Not be included; was the Catholic Church deceiving you then? Letters by Ignatius, Clement, and others were thought to be scripture until an Infallible Church Gave the world an Infallible book

  • im not a protestant, whats that

  • In You Jesus --

If you go to a Christian church that is not Catholic, you likely are attending a Protestant church -- those would include Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Assembly of God, Nazarene, Lutheran, etc.

If you don't go to any of those churches, you're still a Protestant (that is, a protester against the Catholic Church).

Regardless of the church you attend, I'll bet you there is disagreement even within your own church about how to interpret certain parts of Scripture.

  • I dont think so and i use the King James Bible, and no the catholic church is not in harmony with what the catholic church teaches. sorry, and im not a protestant. Im a sabbath keeper you know the fourth commandment something the catholic church no nothing about.

  • You seem like a nice person, so don't take this wrong. Look at the writings of Apostles St.Ignatius, St. Justin Martyr, and Polycarp and the way the 1st and 2nd century Church worshipped and what they believe. 99% of Protestant Converts converted because they looked into History to see how the Early Church worshipped and what they believed. What they found was the Catholic Church. Scott Hahn is the perfect example of this. I know you won't believe me. Just research it yourself. God be with you.

  • NO i dont believe that, the sacraments are man made. and no Jesus is our only means of forgiveness, The priest cant do anything, Jesus is our only mediator and i do believe in Mary and yes she was blessed but i dont pray to her. And no i dont believe the catholic church is God's church, how did Jesus find that church, the catholic church doesnt even keep the commandments of God.

  • In You Jesus --

Catholics don't believe priests forgive sins either. What we do believe is that Jesus forgives sins through the priest.

Could Jesus forgive sins without the priest? Of course, He's God. However, He established the Sacrament of Reconciliation before He left the Earth -- for example at John 20:23: -- "Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."

  • Just how did the Church survive without "Sola Scriptura" for almost 400 years when there was no Bible? Jesus did not leave His deciples a Bible...but instructions. "Sola Scriptura" is flawed. Hence the 33,000 different protestant dennominations teaching 33,000 different teachings from the same book. :( I was a protestant pastor so please spare me the verses.

  • you think so

  • no, Science shouldnt stay out of it. Exame the bodys as much as you want. You wont find nothing but the pure miracle from the love above!

  • God wants us to all be Saint and perfect. Heaven is full of Saints therefore we need to strive with all our hearts to do Gods will, to listen and obey All that he has commanded. We have the profits, Gospel, Saint and the Church and Sacraments to help us get there.

What more do you need??? There will be no excuse not to follow him. Let us learn about the saint and imitate them.

  • There is NOTHING wrong with the Roman Catholic Church!I studied their Catachism and attended their services for nearly 40 years. Someday I will make my First Confession. No, I don't take Communion. I RESPECT the Catholics because they welcome the Poor which is more than I can say for some PROTESTANT DEMONIATIONS I WILL NOT NAME!God is in charge.
