very cute - the kid playing the genie has a lot of personality. i like what they did with this broadway jr version of the show.  for those who question why they are using a cd, they have to b/c it's a broadway jr version of the show. i know b/c my school has done broadway jr shows for the past 3 years

Yeah, they shouldn't have casted a kid to play Genie. I was in an Aladdin Jr musical a few years ago & Scott Damian (from the sitcom "Scrubs") played Genie.

when my school did it we had a maestro or piano player!! we didn't use a cd!! plus it was a blast and i was the genie in our version!!

LOL that school uses the musical CD. and its a school of arts. atleast some schools i know actually uses a band of somesort to play for the musical.

If the show is a Jr. show, you have to use a CD for the music. They don't give you the band parts for Jr. shows.

My school actually paid a company to write the music for us. So they listened to the Cd countless of times and read the piano sheet music and they composed all the parts from violin, bass to trumpets. And your school is a School of arts.
