i used to have scalextric it sucked the formula 1 cars broke on the first lap and i couldnt return it so i still have a $500 piece of crap under my bed but my hornby still works really good even after 7 years of me playing with it

Hornby is more famous than Scalextric. I wish they would compare Hornby with Marklin (Germany) and Lionel (USA).

SCALEXTRIC RULES!!! :D (btw, I got nothing against Honby, in fact I do like toy trains), but Scalextric is just so much more user involved, both on and off the track, and also I am a major car nut, so I can just say this...SCALEXTRIC RULES, BABY! :D

I've got both a Scalectix set and a Hornby train set... both are amazing!! I've had the cars since 1994 and the train set was my dad, so its... 30 years old! and anyway, they are the same company!

You can be creative with a slot car layout - plenty of scope for landscaping and buildings. I have both 1:32 and 1:64 slot cars, and four scales of model trains.

If the show wanted hornby to win then it would of had a large layout and the scalextrics layout small would of been small. Before seeing the end the almost predict scalextrics was to win.

Both should really, Scalextric is fun for kids. Hornby makes Adults love their Artistic Value, while Kids gives it aww. Overall Scalextric gives more fun, Hornby lets you express your feelings.
