  • Wow Great quality man :) thhx

  • Now I've seen everything! Amazing guitarist for sure, but what sets him apart in my opinion is his infallible sense of good taste.

  • And the crowd goes ape shit!

  • My parents got married on the day Stevie performed. Coincidence? I think not!

  • that guitar is so sexy lol

  • An amazing guitarist and shocking loss...I saw both Clapton and Stevie Ray that year. At Clapton's show sure everyone was in awe as they sat in their seats. When Stevie took the stage at his show, everybody stood up and nobody sat down the entire show. Not once, what electricity.

  • Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughn is a Boss of Bosses. . .

  • Imagine the amount of pussy he would've got, if he was Spielberg's Back To The Future!'

  • He came right out with guns a blazin! He must have been Billy The Kid in a former life! We will never see the likes of this ever again.

  • @chrisgblues you are right, in his interviews, he is just this little Texan kid that loves blues guitar, but on stage, he is the BIGGEST sound blues ever made!!

  • I've never thought that these two songs could be combined... so if the world didn't explode already, we're safe... for now...

  • 3:09 does anyone think he looks like he saw something really funny in the crowd?

  • The Balloons coming out at 1:45 is the stage orgasming LOL

  • what a track!

one of my heros, check out my cover!

  • 'Do NOT buy or sell this dvd'

Are they making straight to youtube videos now or something?

  • 276 for good and 1 knot head

  • GOOD TO SEE EVEN HEIR FRITZ LOVE HIM. HAIL THE GUITAR SLINGER I FOREVER MY HERO. AND SADLY MISSED

  • wasnt this the times that he was addicted to drugs???

  • What a legend and it's coming up 20 years on his tragic passing. Check out that action on his frets around 1.15 seconds in!! holy shit not just bass strings high wires too.

  • Would love to see ANY guitarist in this day &age string their rig with industrial strength cable! SRV you are sorely missed my friend! You'll be the 1st person I'll be looking for if I make it upstairs!

  • DAM!!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • Love you Stevie and always will.

  • at 4:10....daaamn dude.... then 4:11 to the end .....damn dude!

  • at 4:10........daaaamn dude

  • OMG I was THERE! What an incredible and stunning performance‼ If only I had known then how damn lucky I was to have seen him on stage at least once in a lifetime! What a terrible loss! RIP Stevie!

Peter Rüchels "Wutt juh pliess wellkomm" is also unbeatable!

Thank you so much for this - and all the other stuff, too!

  • one thing for sure, stevie gave his all on stage. such incredible talent. no one compares. i never grow tired of listening to him play.

  • one thing for sure, stevie gave his all on stage. such incredible talent. no one compares.

  • so its true all bass players a freekeshly tall

  • What's your problem, SRV1DOORS1HENDRIX1??? I changed my username from upncummer69 because it was in bad taste. Now, getting back to you, I don't know or care how "young" you are. I'm 71 years of age and, while I don't have to, I'll be happy to answer your question. I identify myself as I do because I'd like the people to know that I'm an "old doowopper' with a VARIETY of musical tastes. I don't restrict myself solely to "doo-wops". BTW, Chevrons is spelled with a capital "C"!!!

  • @ 3:51- 4:15 WOW!

  • cada vez q lo escucho, me gusta mas...

  • Absolutely ridiculous. And to think that he was a bit worried of playing worse when he wasn't doing drugs... This is Stevie at his best. :D

  • @cmondefeatme if this is in 1984 his drug taking was at its peak it was1985 he started to get clean, if you notice this scuttle buttin is slower than some other versions, although its still great you can see he is worn out.

  • Hi! My name is John "Marty" Trautman, co-founder & member of a New York City doo-wop group known as "The Chevrons". In my opinion, Stevie Ray is the "GREATEST MUSICIAN" that God ever created! He is beyond majestic! I could watch him work that guitar 24/7! Yes, Clapton is good, Van Halen is good, Hendrix was good, but c'mon folks. There is plenty of "good" to go around. But nobody, yes NOBODY can come remotely close to Stevie Ray! R.I.P. SRV

  • @upncummer69 Why do you start all your comments with something like Hi I'm Marty from the chevrons?

  • All this because of eric clapton lending him his malfunctionating helicopter to go on tour. god dam u eric clapton ur responsable 4 stevie's death.

What i would give to go and see him again!!!!

  • The man left us too soon. He was an artistic genius. I miss the legend. Now this is talent!

  • best version of testify ever

  • They look like gods on that stage. Amazing

  • srry but i like SRV better thn hendrix

  • @1985blues why would you apologise and why did you mention Hendrix. srv fans have this weird obsession with comparing him to hendrix.

I prefer Hendrix a lot more but isnt me mentioning this just as pointless as you saying you prefer srv to him?... he's playing his own songs in this video.

  • @turnbacktime

dont knw sir it was spontaneous. it can be a sign of my immaturity SRV and hendrix are compared because SRV was inspired by hendrix and a few SRV compositions reflect it clearly.

honestly speaking i dont knw if i am good enough to appreciate their music

  • OK, someone please help me verify if I'm right... 0:49.....stage left from left to right

    Dumble steel, Leslie...2 vibroverbs

  • Thank you for this, unccharris!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D

  • you can't do this.

  • recorded by Rory Gallagher lol

  • whats that effect he's using?

  • I spent a lot of time in Austin way back then and had the honor of watching many of Stevie's shows. He never eased into a show...it was wide freaking open from the time he stepped onstage. The guy was unbelievable and a very very good singer as well. I am so glad that Stevie got to travel around and share his talent with the rest of the world even though we like to think that he was one of our own here in Texas.

  • Sick guitarist!

  • i know jealuosy is a bad thing.. but JEEZ that guy plays with such seed and intensity, almost impossible to even reach the bottom of his shoes :s

  • Was Springsteen the headliner? at the end of the concert when stevie is going into his tent i see him with little steven from the e. street band

  • i like how it says do not buy or sell this dvd. your only aloud to look at the cover people!

  • that 1 handed playing at 5:26 is one of the smoothest i think i've ever seen stevie has a soul of blues talent like no one else and is definitly one of a kind

  • damn dude i'd like to see you play that smoothly. and that amazingly, let alone with all those notes that he throws in there that i'm sure u wouldn't have even thought to be there. he is real talent and true soul.

  • Ahhhh- that was nice!

  • I saw this concert live. Stevie wasn't the headline but stole the show.

  • the bolero outfit was a classic

  • 5:26-5:40 is insane. playing w/ one hand....and as far as style goes Stevie had a style all his own. Who else had a had w/ a feather in it?

  • The clothes of stevie, inspired in Hendrix´s style?? . barroco, sofisticado, extrovertido, vivo.

  • Saw him live with the greatest lead player Jeff Beck! In Oakland Stevie Ray Vaughan encore was with Carlos Santana!!! 3 of the all-time greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This guy that upload this must have more of this concert! Please Please uplaod the concert, It Have the best quality of sound and view. SRV is just one of the best artist in the world, I have all his cd''s originel, but can you please uplaod the hole concert, if never heard this version. SRV, God bless you my dear!

  • @creativemees yes, i can do that, when i have some free time

  • wow, man, thnxx allot. Do it , when you have some timi man, thnxx. You make my day man!

  • @creativemees I have the entire concert also and uploaded a few from it, not in this good of quality, but the sound is just as good, plus I uploaded a few years ago now.

  • @creativemees I am in the process of uploading as much of the concert as i can. I can upload the whole thing, but at least one of the songs will have to be split. Soon I will have five videos from it.

  • @unccharris

I saw this stuff 1984, and began to play electric guitar, do you have the interview after the concert ?

  • @creativemees

Got the complete concert in mpeg file if you like..

  • @amsterdamcallin jeah, I would like that. Can you send it or what else ? I was just dreaming about to have a dvd from this.

  • @creativemees

Send me your email address and i will send a download link somewhere this week.

  • THE best blues guitar player ever. Untouchable, and ain't nobody gonna get on my case about who's better, jimi or stevie, because stevie played a couple jimi covers outta respect, and blew jimi outta the water. God rest your soul, stevie ray.

  • can i hear the univibe on this?

  • try and play that fast..., just go ahead and try it lol

  • iy tried 2 und luok hoew id aefekted mi typiNG ssSkillz.

( Children PLEASE Do NOT Try This Home ! ) ;P

  • ffuuuukkkkkkkkk....!!!!!!!that's how u roockkk stevie...shiiitttttt

  • Straight-up badass!! Looks like a pimp! God rest you soul, Stevie................almost 20 years since your passing.

  • Once in a lifetime talent. Truly, SRV changed guitar playing as we knew it.

  • do not buy or sell this dvd just gaze and wounder

  • do not buy or sale this dvd? why not?

  • Why even bother making a DVD at that point?

  • play in peace.. <3

  • Way to go Stevie, ease yourself into the gig why don't ya!!!??? Fuck me, blazing from the off and what a loss to us all. You know what, I wish he'd never covered Hendrix and then all these lame ass, no brained and stone deaf idiots who can't see his true genius and individuality would have nothing to twat on about. Forget his frettin, try and find a guitarist with a right hand like his and you'll not manage it! A true great and sadly missed by millions!! Love you Stevie

  • Nice 1 Jimmy 7099 haha .. Stevie...God what can we say ? 19 years and I still feel sad everytime I hear the cat ..but then my foot starts tappin at 182 bpm and I smile ..Love you Stevie

  • @jimmer9907 All this because of eric clapton lending him his malfunctionating helicopter to go on tour. god dam u eric clapton ur responsable 4 stevie's death.

What i would give to go and see him again!!!!

  • @tommc94 no man you cant say that haha, clapron almost got depressed because of that fact, he actually wished he was in that helicopter he once said

  • @tommc94 i mean clapton :P

  • @jimmer9907 fucking right you hit it right on the head, eeeaaasssee into this gig stevie!!

  • @jimmer9907

    Amen !!

  • @jimmer9907 AMEN brother!!!

  • "do not buy this dvd"

  • recorded by Rory Gallager??!!!

  • Do not buy or sale this DVD? wtf is that all about?

  • Ha ha...southern rock. That's funny...

  • I bet Lonnie Mack never imagined he would insipire so many

  • Excellent! Thank you for sharing.

I have always wondered about Stevie's clothes.

There seems to be no particular style. He seems to wear just what he likes or is into at the moment. I love this outfit!

  • Jimi style outfits, of course :)

  • lol 2:00 the people on the roof lmao

  • wtf is with the confederate flag in the crowd?

  • Thanks for the clip. A superb performance by a master. He is greatly missed.

  • It's not all about speed folks, its all about technique. Which Stevie had in spades. For my money, he was the best pure player ever to pick up the instrument.

  • 5:28 ! Love this part

  • Amazing!!

  • i love his music

  • HES BETTER THAN HENDRIX

  • southern rock?

  • Stevie had it all!

  • he's probably the biggest Hendrix fan i've seen. still, with his unique style. nice...

  • Awesesome, thanks.

  • different pace for testify, very cool.

  • One of the best versions of Scuttle Buttin. STRONG and POWERFUL!! My heart cries for SRV. God bless that he´s music lives on!!

  • what a god!

  • AWESOME !!!

  • great

  • Thank God for the Strat... And SRV!!

  • No, thank Leo Fender for the Strat!!

  • haha - thats true^^

  • God created Leo so lets give credit where credit is do.

  • and strat created SRV....

  • or maybe SRV 'created' the strat :O

  • I believe God created SRV also....

  • i believe god spoke to us through stevie's pickin

  • Very well put!!!!

  • When I first heart scuttle buttin I thought it was god talking to me though Stevie Ray Vaughan, I am glad I am not the only one thinking like that, god bless that guy

  • AWESOME SIMPLY AWESOME

  • Hmmmm at 3:15, is it just me or does it look as though some wood stain has been applied to the worn spots on no.1?

  • Well it does look like there is something different about it. I believe that spot is usually darker...

  • i wonder if its not sweat..if you watch him play WHAM! at El Mocambo you can see that there is sweat all over his guitar, and if it was hot here...(which it looks like it was) his guitar was prob all wet with sweat...but then he might have oiled it up to fatten it...which he talked about in an interview at one point. one thing is for sure..he tears it up as usual

  • Those lucky fuckers in the audience.

    Stevie is the best...hands down!!!!!!!

    Thanks for uploading this man.

  • SRV was ON that nite !!!!

  • How the fuck do u break 13 guage strings. Its easier to bend time then to bend those things. Im in shock and awe

  • dont make the change so quick, try with lighter ones and go up with time

  • Stevie and Jimi Hendrix are the two best guitar players of all time. No doubt, hands down. I would have loved to see those two jam on stage.

  • Broken string and he stills kicks ass.

  • lol in the beginning someone is holding up a confederate flag

  • haha.. i thought that was kinda weird too

  • I wish i was there that evening. The people who has seen him doing an live performance should be a lucky bastard!!! Thx YouTube members to spreading his legacy!! Long Live SRV!!

  • i think he died tho.

  • Yes he did! But my heart he is very much alive!!

  • Sweet! scuttle buttin' is one of the greatest guitar licks of all time!!!

  • Stevie Ray had more passion in his little finger than most guitar players do in their whole body. His technique, tone and soul will always be held in my highest regard.

  • You summed it up right there. It was his passion and soul. The energy and tone of his guiter are unmatched. And, yet, there are youtubers that say he was only a good blues guitrist. I have read comments from so called "guitar gods;" that said that they could not even play Stevie's guitar. Tthe effort is too great.

  • that thing at 5:28 is magical!!!

  • i think quite possibly God was bored one day and was like man i'm going to go down to earth and just rock out for a few years. and he came in the form of SRV shredding the guitar like it was the end of days.

  • amen to the that!!!

  • you sure tell it like it is man.

  • or maybe it was joseph who caem from the heavans to portray such a massive monipulation of evidence and culture?

  • Legend, pure genius!

  • Stevie rocked the place out!

  • wow those guys are goin crazy

  • stevie is amazing wish he was still alive

2-day he was my hero. he pretty much inspired me to play blues. here's to you stevie

  • amen

  • Holy guacamole...look at the crowd go wild for an instrumental blues!

    Just wonderful!

  • how did he get the picture to look this good?

  • Best riff ever invented

  • Some people were just born to play the guitar! SRV still is my favorite player to listen to. So glad I got to see him live before he passed on.

  • DAMN!!! 5:36,, Talk about feelin it!! SRV Lives on Forever!
