@Breewilly this anime is about a lot of things really. every episode is a new story for the protagonist. the anime involves mostly the mysterious life of organisms that effect at least one person in every episode.

Why don't you try to find the people who actually subbed it? Then download if from either their website or IRC.

Or if you can, try to buy it, since it would help a lot of people.

But NEVER ever pay for something that is fan-subbed. They're cheating you out of your money.

My all time favorite anime.

That's easy to say for me, cuz I haven't watched many, but who knows? Full Metal Alchemist didn't beat it, so maybe it will stay up there.

i prefer the episode with the moving swamp. just because of the end-decision of the girl.

here, she can't face reality and decides on the 'happy illusion'. basically like a drug addict.

that's why i like the one choosing to face, accept and live with reality.

because it's not a choice which couldn't bring any happyness or similar.

every episode is amazing in their own right. We must give our respect to Masuda Toshio for such amazing soundtrack. I will admit, I couldn't help but cry a little for a couple of episodes, including this one.

I have to agree with you, I get teary-eyed just watching some of the clips. The episode about the family in the bamboo forest had me incredibly choked up. This is a brilliant series, I only wish that it had more exposure because it definitely deserves it.

There prevails an eerie sense of tranquility in this anime. Everytime I see it, I would always feel peaceful. Then again, this bizarre feeling I have that goes with the tranquility...it's unsettling. It's the feeling of possibility that mushi may be real. When I go to fields and forests, there's this hope that I may at least prove to myself that the "other side" is real, but then, there's always the feeling that I'm not welcome in this place. That's why this anime seems so familiar to me.

I left out most of this episode, but you should really watch this series if you're considering it. Not that hard to see its brilliance once you start it~ just great storytelling

MUSHI-SHI is my favorite anime ever. And I agree with you, I loved this episode, because of it's wonderful message at the end... such a deep subject, what should we do with the future? As Ginko says, instead of sulking, just live a normal life. One thing you can always count on is the endless amount of time that stretches ahead of you. :) This is a wonderful scene to put online, and I thank you for it!

This anime is one of the masterpiece. Watch it. Surely you'll not regret it. Well, how do I say about this anime... It's unique in a way and soothing in another way and ancient in a way... anyway just watch it and you'll get what I mean
