Most Americans are gun toting, can't imagine sailors of non military ships being opposed to carrying arms and protecting themselves in dangerous waters. If I were a captain of a ship in waters like that, I'd have men stationed all night who would be armed enough to blow those crappy little pirate runners off the map before they got close to a ship. And I don't lilke guns but this would be like driving in neighborhoods where car jacking occurs - avoid if possible, if not, carry a gun.

The Captain did not follow the ISPS plan. They pencil whip the security drills and training. They are also given warning about the areas sailing in. No preventive measures were taken to prevent this type of act. The Captain is an idiot. Where's the CSO during all this? When was the last time the CSO visit the vessel to see if they were following the security requirements onboard the vessel?

It all depends on what angle you are looking at the situation. A terrorist to us may be a freedom fighter to you and vice versa...It's all relative.

well . These pirates are not warriors! they have never killed or harmed anyone yet! .. they keep hostages and waiting for ransom! they are fisherman and criminals..
