wow! u just got this game a few month ago and DAM! the graphics and the pysics engine is realy good for it,s time! and the combat system is awsome! onely complaint i have is the sligtly confusing controls. like, u can tunr around with you mouse, but it barly turnes the character around and at the same time you can turn around with the A and D keys wich makes the mouse totaly useles.

@chipaputalaguea Demon's Souls/Dark Souls if you have a ps3. Demon's Souls was hardest game I've ever played but follows 1 rule: All deaths are fair, you won't die by something overly cheap just gotta pay attention and be cautious. Then Dark Souls came along. Much more open world than Demon's Souls but also much harder. Best 2 games I've ever played in my life. I put in 25 hours of gameplay into Demon's Souls and reached a level of 70. Same amount of hours in Dark Souls and only at 34.

@unrealdevon aw, that sucks. Sadly, I have no idea what could be the cause of stuttering. The only problems I ever had were the menu text dissappearing and some heavy fog at the Gorge of Orlok level; fixed with the OpenGL raster patch. I hope you get it working, wish I could've been of more help.

The game is great! there are 4 characters to choose from, Barbarian, and the knight man are the best. Each have there unique styles. The gameplay is great, it's satisfying, with a few little annoyances such as jumping in tight areas. The soundtrack is great, though it was not produced by any game soundtrack artist. Variety of different enemies... I would say what sort but they can be surprising! The story isn't deep, but if it was made today, it would have huge potential! Install! :D

By far in the top 5 best games of all time. This LEVEL is fucking incredible. Thats one of the best things about this game is the level design. The graphics are amazingly good for the time, and the fighting system is probably the best out there. This game is truly amazing, everyone should play it. Torrent it if you have to it doesn't matter, just play it.

You know, for being such an old game, it still looks pretty damn impressive. I mean, the character models are a little "eh", but the shadowing and water look amazing!

Actually, at the time it was released, you'll be hard pressed to find a game with better lighting, AI or combat.

And the best thing, is that the developers also slam it right your face. The feeling of slowly crawling through a dungeon, injured and tired, and seeing a giant looming shadow in the distance, only to find it came from a goblin standing near a fireplace is priceless. This happens in multiple occasions. A shame people were too busy playing Diablo when this came out :(

@DaBhaalspawn Yeah, I had never even heard of this game before. I was searching for some RPG games to try out, which is pretty hard when your computer is only "meh". This popped up, I got the demo, and was immediately amazed. Also, I was equally delighted when the game didn't lag, even with all the shadows and reflections (usually, shadows KILL my frame-rate).

I need to try and find the full game, now. :D

Yeah that shadows thing is mostly when people started putting Bloom lighting in every damn game they took out. If you like hardcore rpgs, you may want to try Gothic (and if your RAM can take it, Gothic 2 Night of the Raven). Those two are probably the best 3rd person rpgs I've EVER played.

No, you need both, but it changes the game completely. Playing vanilla Gothic II is like pizza without cheese. It's just not complete. But I'd recommend you find Gothic I first. It is comparatively short (but still long enough to keep you occupied for a while), and it's basically the foundation for the second game. They even use the same engine. Another good thing, in Gothic I you get powerful fast, where in Gothic II you'll struggle until past halfway through the game. Then your god

I might try and overclock my processor (Pentium IV 2.4ghz). With the new card, I SHOULD be able to run Gothic III.

No, Gothic III is a bitch on older systems. And it's also not a really good game either. The combat is a click spam fest (but not in a good way like diablo. In a really really bad way) and it's just more generic. The older Gothics, you really had to choose if you wanted to be a mage, or an archer, or a plain fighter. In G3, every character ends out being a master blacksmith, alchemist, archer, hunter, fighter, mage, whatever.

Dunno, maybe you find it good.

Warning to vista users, to get this game to work you'll have to download the open GL raster for it, otherwise all of the text and water will be black and unreadable. You'll also need to patch it since the game will crash almost every time you try to save unless you do. Great game, though. Very annoying to get it working, but fully worth it.

upon the stairs there is a skull which u have to shoot and after that after u shoot the skull it will be destroyed and then u go give it and continue to the next gem :)
