Now its not clear that this was Boteach's motive. Even if it were true and not public this derogatory venom is forbidden. Where do you come with 'public'? Public? By posing the question of whether or not money and exposure were more important to Shmuley this individual commits an offence even if it is not said overtly. The Law is clear on this point. First, it might be "motzi shem ra" (spreading false, slanderous info about someone)- not "lashon hara" (gossip that's true) Second, he barely said any substantial discrediting arguments against Rabbi Boteach . Sholem Aleychem, Rabbi, I have been a casual fan of Shmuel B. for a few years now. However, I did not know that he held these views on homosexuality. I suppose that he is part of the propagandist machine that keeps nature's attack through STDs, esp. AIDS, on that community a dirty little secret. I know that the Torah says that women should be fined, and men should be stoned. I believe- correct me if I'm wrong-that is because men spread death to all through their transgression through disease.
