  • Hilarious man.. loved the video.. who knew Gorillas were so funky..?

  • Was the gorilla suit the only thing you could find to hide yourself??

  • bass drum needs to be tuned higher.

  • @RastamanRebel92 No, it just needs to be muted/dampened.

  • @gleventhal If muted it will just be quieter. His whole set needs to be tuned up.

  • @RastamanRebel92

Maybe he wanted it to sound that way. I don't know him, but some people like to experiment and do things differently.

  • You guys are idiots that's a costume not a real ape /gorilla. Wow ha. Lmfao

  • @lovesheaxoxo Hahaha your a dumbass for calling them idiots lol. everyone knows it nawt a gorilla jeez! lol

  • OMG Go listen to bob marley and listen you have no feeling in this BAD!

  • tighten it up

  • That's fucking hilarious

  • im just starting reggae drums (or trying to) Im just wonderingis there any bass drum in this

  • @santacruzsurfLA

Kick is on beat 3 usually for reggae... Hi-hats played on beats 2 and 4... beat one plays nothing, often play a cross-stick (like the Gorilla here) on 3 aswell, with the bassdrum... Search some Youtube vids!

  • @djalexmac what if you count 8th notes ? ?

  • @reggaecracker

Lets assume this video is playing 1/4 notes at pretty much 155bpm... Play the kick on the 3... onetwoTHREEfour..... The emphasis comes on beat three, big time. If you count 8th notes i suppose you would count it as oneTWOthreeFOUR, but a reggae one drop is most commonly know as having the emphasis on beat 3! :D

  • @djalexmac not on three when counted correctly. so how would you count the bubble and guitars?? where is the "and" ??

  • incorrect.

  • @reggaecracker

    What is incorrect?

  • @djalexmac basic one drop, kick snare on 2, and 4. try to count the guitar lines if stating kick and snare on 3, count the guitar "ands" and see where the drums fall.

  • @reggaecracker

I understand what you mean and we're both essentially saying the same thing but you count it differently to me, that's all... The majority of people understand it to be nothing on beat one, hi-hats on two and four and kick/snare on beat three... Both ways get the same result, just one is twice as fast as the other when counted

  • @djalexmac I hear ya, but if you were to bring in other musicians and try to play one drops, you'd be way off...im not counting faster , im counting the actual notes in measure, not the tempo...much bless its all good...

  • @djalexmac i hear ya its all good, just write out one bar of the one drop..check out where everything falls....

  • @djalexmac basic one drop, kick snare on 2, and 4. try to count the guitar lines if stating kick and snare on 3, count the guitar "ands" and see where the drums fall. you more or less counting tempo...much different

  • @santacruzsurfLA yeah man, just count your hi-hats out, and drop the kick and snare on 2, and 4's. its not beat 3.

  • the gorilla really seems to enjoy playing along with the music. lol

  • wowo jungle reggae, very nice mr gorilla

  • this is actually easier in the ape suit! I tried it! something about the hair gives more feel to the groove... crazy i know!

  • @intotubintoo thats not a suit... its a real gorilla... didnt you hear him grunt?

  • lol

  • ahh nice,grape ape !!!!

  • looks eassier than it is.

  • Thats not a one drop

cmon why ur guys cannot play the one drop like it his

  • tighten up your bass drum. woow

  • are you serious.
