Very very heartbreaking that Pupia and his mom had left Elephant Nature Park and are now separated. Pupia will be sent to learn drawings and his mom ? back to trekking and produce more babies for slavery?
Why can't the owner have a big compassion heart for them, sell them to ENP and let them be free and together?
Seems like all owned elephants can never break free from the chain of slavery, generations after generations.
Hey! I just read that Pupia is GONE and not with his mom anymore. Can we help to buy him back? Can we do SOMETHING to get him away from the streets and performing? Please tell us how we can help save Pupia and his mom and get them back to the santuary. I'll do whatever I can!
Yes, it's very sad that Pupia has been sent to a training centre to learn how to paint. Unfortunately it's not about money, the owner has adamantly refused to sell Pupia to the park. The only way we can save Pupia and the rest of the captive elephants in Thailand is to educate the public about cruelty behind training elephants and support NGOs like elephant nature park. when demand for elephant trekking, shows etc stops, the supply will too.
Well said. I'm telling everyone I know about the problem. Everyone else should too. Thanks for posting this about the ENP and helping to spread the word.
Poor Pupia! Keep spreading the word, Lek is making major strides in Ele welfare and she needs all the support she can get!
