@armhunter Yeah the trees are just eye candy. You can't really hide behind them and you can fly through them. That will hopefully change one day.

@Dvdlpt That has to change. I was always thinking of getting the game, and when flying, I would of been flying at tree level. I guess there is no reason to do that now. You can use the buildings right? I am building a PC and will be in the air by the end of the week.. :)

@armhunter Well you can still use the terrain to mask your approach. Also, in multiplayer the trees work (humans can't see behind the trees.) It's just the AI can see behind them, so yes, that part sucks. Just wait for Combat Helo to come out. That's what I'm doing. :-)

@Dvdlpt I never seen that... Get this, I have been out of the PC gaming scene for about 4 years now! Just decided to quit spending the money on upgrades for my PC. Well, I went out and bought a Mac Pro, decided to throw Windows 7 on it and try out these new sims I just looked up this week! I could not believe what has come out since I have been gone. Well, My mac pro runs the games without a problem! I can turn the graphics all the way up. I just need flight controls. Today maybe!

@armhunter Yeah man, get flight controls!  Combat helo will be worth it. And it will run on a fairly average machine. Do you remember Janes longbow? Combat helo will be like that. Check it out, if you have not already.

@Dvdlpt I remember LongBow.. I got good at it. I wish Black Shark had the Apache in it to fly. I used to have all the controls i needed.. But I am headed out now to replace what i sold. At least I still have my Track IR! That thing makes these sims so much better!

@armhunter Yeah, I could NEVER fly without TrackIR. I can't believe I used to fly without it. It's one of those things you have that you can't go without, after owning one.

@Dvdlpt yes I do. actually I'm not part of DCS Mercenaries. I always fly and have a hard-on for the shark. I don't like the A-10 (feels fragile as in Chinese merchandise)..

@commandosolo2009 Nice. Not sure why you brought up the Mercenaries...I've never been a part of them either. I like the A-10C, but it's kind of boring and slow, after a while. Especially when flying 20,000 feet and attacking from up high.

@Dvdlpt indeed the A-10 is boring. you just sit in the cockpit and never really threatened unless under 15 k.. I brought the mercs becuz I wanted to point that online playing is so much fun. we have a pay based system, which makes it competitive based too. not advertising my group or anything.

@Dvdlpt tell it to the dorks at ED... I mean we never heard of a Mustang flying in Afghanistan, Iraq, or even Georgia... And the role in such modernized field is dubious... I just ordered a model kit 1:48 for A-10, Ka-50 and the Mustang. Should make things interesting....

@commandosolo2009 I think their purpose was to just give us a model to fly around. The combat wont be any fun, obviously. So, if you really really like the mustang it gives you that option to fly around and have fun without combat. Otherwise people just wont buy it, including me.

@RedBravo65 Yeah, after spending many hours figuring out that trimming issue, I've finally got it working nice! She's flies like a beauty now. Still need to check out the AI though.

@Dvdlpt Whats the tecnique for this? I always try braking back and yawing in the direction. Ill make most of the short turns in-between buildings using this at 60 altitude, but sometimes blow my brains out on a wall.

@spartenbeny Well it's kinda hard to explain but during all my manouvers I'm holding the trimmer down. I get more control that way. I also use the collect to straighten out my lowering it to straighten out then raising it again once leveled. A lot of practice and flying around you just get a 'feel' for it.
