  • Well at least you can make "rocket launchers", until they make them you don't have guns.

  • Damn well done! :D

  • That was awesome, and I loved the Firefly talk.

  • I miss the old chase cam :/

  • Jeb is (in the code) actually coded as the pilot, the AI has three parameters, brave, stupid, and pilot. Jeb is the only one with "Pilot" in his AI code. I've spoken to the lead dev about this.

  • @navyrayne Well, KSP Wiki currently states otherwise, although I do agree that it makes much more sense if Jebediah is the single pilot responsible for flying the ships.

I'm posting the link to the wiki page in the description, since comments system doesn't approve of links. Cheers!

  • @HerraTohtori The wiki is in-fact wrong, I know this because I spoke to Harv about it on Skype.

  • @navyrayne I have no doubt that is indeed the case.

  • Someone else has probably already asked this, but... what were those awesome songs?

Great bit at the end, BTW.

  • where can i get this version mockingbird? i searched the forums but i couldn't find it

  • Masterfully done.

  • Love the HTML Quotation you did at 6:28 to mention the fact a radio is there. Nice work.

  • That Firefly reference at the end made my day

  • Do you have the files for the ship? I want to fly it :)

  • This has to be my favorite Video ever. Simply amazing to watch =D

  • I'm surprised that this plane flies that controllably at THAT speed. I'd expect a speed of about 250 to 600 m/s of a craft like that.

  • This would be great if the game was multiplayer... KSP online! Unfortunately, people would probably just spend all their time bombing each other :L

  • How did you get this to install? I can't get the C-7 pack to work.

  • Now so this on the moon! :D

  • I adore your Firefly references.

  • @HerraTohtori can i have the data for this

  • Loved the bit at the end, oh mad dlying skillz bro :D

  • How stable is this flown with a keyboard? I don't have a joystick yet( ordering one in the next few days) so I want to know if it flys stable with a keyboard, I've gotten pretty good with the keyboard just keep the nose light otherwise you can never flare up when landing -.-

  • @TheEpicUnicorn3 I don't remember if I ever flew this particular version with keyboard, but I would expect it to be reasonably stable. If not, you can always adjust weight/flight surface distribution by shuffling the parts around a little bit to make it more nose- or tail-heavy.

  • @TheEpicUnicorn3 i remade this the best i could and it was basicly the same but flying with a keyboard was hard i put rudders wich seemed to help a bit

  • Can you give me the Ship data of this ?

  • Awesome Jet/rocket ;) Now but some Missiles under it >:D

  • funny how the guy in the middle of the other 2 is always smiling and the other two are mainly always look like they are freaking out! every video i have seen so far he the only one smiling and the other 2 are always freaking out

  • I love the Serenity Quote.

  • Wash from Firefly quote at 7:20

  • could u use like decuplers to like attach bomb like things to it and like make a bomber

  • I love the conversation between Jeb and Bob... Aka Wash and Mal.

  • sorry didnt get all the refrences loving the plane but the landing was flawless

  • great serenity references

  • I usually build much larger spaceplanes than that, and my small ones are usually VTOLs. I've got to build one I can fly without ASAS.

There was one point in the video where it looked like you were going to crash. And that was where you throttled down, and avoided that mountain. Nice recovery.

  • @ReddwarfIV If you mean the part in 3:10, I actually had to push the throttle to the firewall momentarily to clear that little ridge thingy.

Also, since the game doesn't really have active stabilization feature on the ASAS yet (so far as I know), that means all designs should be flyable without the ASAS activated. ASAS should be considered a rudimentary autopilot; you still need to be able to fly the plane manually to get it to a desired attitude before activating it.

  • Excellent with the Serenity reference :)

  • OMG A BRONY THAT PLAYS KSP!!!! ^O^

  • where can i download the mods?

  • that was a beautiful landing

  • serenity music and reference FTW

  • Hell of a pilot.

  • What engine?

  • Реально круто летаешь! Долго тренировался?

  • Comment removed

  • Where does everyone get those landing gears?

  • im stuck in orbit with the sun lolz

  • Someone forgot to smooth their normals.

  • @WolfosDotOrg There's a cream you can get for that from your local pharmacist.

  • cool pioloting

  • Great ending.

  • Could anyone tell me how to land on flat land using c7?do i use wheels or the shock stuff

  • Epic Firefly reference.

  • Beautiful landing.

  • Nice buzzing of the tower there, Maverick.

  • Well, DAMN! Here i was expecting a huge fireworks display to welcome them home at the last second. WELL done! AMAZING landing you did there! Keyboard controlled?

  • The chat between them was awesome. You should make more of these! :D

  • You sir win

  • Huge kudos for the Firefly chatter :)

  • wow, I feel stupid... I can't find out how to use the custom cockpits, not even in the official thread...

  • Love the serenity reference, but you know the guy dies in the end right? (at 7:24 at time of writing)

  • Man, this was outright awesome!

  • wow! awesome!!! how dod you found the space center back on kerbal?

  • @soverato3 Pretty much by keeping track of where I'm flying

I made a wide right turn weaving through the valleys and between mountains. I never really went very far. I could have easily gained visual direction back to KSC by climbing above the mountains and simply turning. Also, you can see KSC in the horizon at around 4:55, so I had a reference at that point...

  • please can you help me? my parts on this mod are pink... please help... :)

  • @koleasert You're trying to use old mod version with newer KSP release. The program changed the way the textures are handled (transparency, namely) and subsequently the mods needed to also change the way the textures are done. So, go and find the latest version on kerbal space program forums. Search for "C-7 Flight Pack", current version is C-7 Flight Pack v2.16.

  • @HerraTohtori ooh ok thanks m8 :D

  • @HerraTohtori hey, idk why it does this, but i think my C7 pack might have gotten corrupted, because the "air turborocket" engine always thrusts in the OPPOSITE direction from what its pointing at

  • @44R0Ndin You've picked up one of the older versions. 2.16 should be the one without the reversed thrust.

  • Stick it on top of a rocket, blast it to orbit, then land it on the runway!

  • That's awesome.

  • Perfect landing

  • so where did you get the pressure plates from?

  • @SuperTy1122 C-7 Aviation Pack of course. Haven't checked the most recentest version but I believe they should still be in there...

  • that my friend was the greatest flight i ever seen! i ussaly crash in about 5 to 20 seconds XD

  • @sidewalkofpain In ten seconds flat.

  • Whats that first song

  • @YumiJuin watch?v=KsDuRRWdHA4

  • people need to start linking where they dl'd all these mods unless they created them themselves, then upload that shit and tell us.

  • Could you make a list of the parts you used for this? I only want to install the parts I need because it takes so long for the game to load trying to install them all. Thanks.

  • @NoiDontWantFries Command pod replacement, standard spaceplane fuselage, edited copy of the spaceplane fuselage that contains zero fuel (for making the craft lighter, as the centre fuselage did not have any fuel), lifting canards (now I would use the moveable canards for better pitch control), wing with engine attachment platform, swept back wing, tailplanes, standard struts, and pressure plates. Some part names may have changed in C7 pack. All parts were in either standard part set or C7 parts.

  • Im guessing your using a joystick?

  • @venku1222 I'm guessing I am.

Is that a question, or a statement? ;-)

  • @HerraTohtori question. Have you remade this using c7's new ailerons and stuff?

  • @venku1222 Yes, although not quite recently and I don't think I saved the craft file. I've been playing IL-2 and doing school stuff recently. KSP is fun, but it is taking annoyingly long time for my PC to load up with all the mod packs active.

Latest thing I made in KSP was actually not a plane, but a rocket. Imagine that...

  • @HerraTohtori RIDICULOUS! Im making a new kerbal video series but school and sports are eating up my time too.

  • .craft file?

  • @requimrar the C-7 flight pack and KSP itself have updated since this craft was made, rendering it obsolete. There have been some changes to aerodynamics and new parts in the flight pack, including control surfaces. You'll be better off just trying to imitate the look as seen in the beginning of the video, then adding control surfaces and otherwise adjusting the design to the new environment.

  • @HerraTohtori Ah. you mean 1.33 right? I get your point. Either way though, is it supposed to constantly tilt forward? It should, considering the whole KSP thing. Are you using a joystick?

  • @requimrar I can't remember version numbers. I do use joystick. The pitching down is normal, especially if you use full fuel tanks for the fuselage (I think I made a duplicate of fuselage parts that had zero fuel content, to make the aircraft lighter and reduce the amount of shifting centre of gravity). But that's part of what makes an aircraft stable; tail-heavy aircraft require constant adjustments of control inputs, while with nose-heavy aircraft you can find stable pitch-up with a joystick.

  • @HerraTohtori As well I can't seem to get the landing skids between the 2 wings. (Yes, I'm using the side mounted ones)

  • @requimrar I think that's one of the things that were changed...

  • i need instructions on how to build... i built a replica but it keeps going straight down or crashing into the control tower.

  • How the hell did you do that!!?!?!? That is AMAZING i mean ive flown to over 150000 kilometers away at almost 7000m/s but THAT is incredible

  • @OldFrog7 Thanks for the comment. Which part do you mean? Generally flying in this program? It's not as hard as you might think, as long as you have a nicely built and calibrated aircraft... and a joystick is a must for accurate control. Although, I do have lots of experience with virtual aircraft in a lot of different simulation environments, so generally I find it easy to adjust to how flight dynamics is handled. KSP aerodynamics leaves a lot of room for improvements currently, though.

  • Loved the last quarter of the video.

What's the song at the beginning?

  • @SpootKnight Thanks. :)

The song at the beginning is named "Sonic Rainboom" and can be found at v=KsDuRRWdHA4 for further detail.

  • I loved when the Serenity them came on.

    Stay shiny!

  • wow nice landing. i cant even make planes turn, instead they spin outa control and blow up.

  • Fucking like when they begin talking.

  • @BannanaOfDoom Thank you. I felt the long landing approach left a hole of sorts in the narrative of this video; As I was figuring out a music piece of suitable length I found that particular track and was struck with sudden inspiration to put some dialogue on the video. Some of you may recognize the source of the dialogue...

  • Where can I download this mod?

  • @UristMcgee Search for C-7 Flight pack on kerbal space program dot com forums. There are some new parts out in the latest version (such as control surfaces, new wing types, new fuselage types etc).

  • Kerbal Flight Simulator FTW.

  • Epic stuff

  • Comment removed

  • yes they need missles and guns........ and nice plane.... time to make me a rocket... as in the heli rocket....

  • My god the ending commentary.... I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
