I just picked up a Zoom H4N 4 track recorder and last nite I recorded our dance band using the 4 channel option. What I need to know is how do I use Cubase LE5 to open up the audio files ...eq out the 4 seperate channels and then mix them down to a standard 2 channel stereo output. If that is even possible?

DoubleODude, 2 questions... How do i record vocals in this specific version of cubase (1.0.10) im guessing is the same one you have. More specifically How and where to set the busses so i can record left and right? If you can make a video for it id appreciated ive been having my studio for years and still havnt found out how to use it the right way... Oh and the secod question... wut does Double O stand for haha? slick.. is koo

@skandleone To tell you the truth I use another software now. I made that video almost two years ago. Your best bet is to search forums online. Oh yeah and the DoubleODude it's like 007. LOL

Hey, can you tell me where i can change my input mic? it automatically uses my laptops standard mic, but i have a snowball usb mic that i want to use, and i dont know where to change the input source.. thanks!

@nickvisstick Go to Device setup, click on VST audio system, in the ASIO driver on the right choose your blue usb microphone as an asio driver. Click yes when asked to switch drivers. You will now see the blue mic appear under the VST audio system on the left. If you click on this you will be able to choose the blue mic as an input channel. If you want to hear what you are recording from the microphone click on direct monitoring. Hope this helps. Thums up for usb mic contra line in.

well can i ask you can i make beats on elc not yust record it how do i put kick or play midi instruments why there is not any instrument in elc is it beacuse is limited or ?

Hey thanks DoubleODude. I suscribed to your channel. I purchased an H4n by Zoom, but I definetly want to know how to use the included Cubase LE software. You sound like a down-to-earth guy that knows his stuff. What advantages would I have from transfering files from the H4n to Cubase? I first used cubase back in 1990 but I have done no recording in the last 8 yrs or so.

Looks like it's got a lot different over the last few yrs.

Yr version looks different to mine.

 I'm gonna upgrade this month, so, I'll watch you to see the differences.

I have cubase le and i use a macbook and tascam 122 but when I play a song my VST performace bar overloads and my song stops..can anyone help me??
