If you did something bigger it might have started a chain reaction, but tiny ones are not much competition. A two liter bottle with three piccolo petes worth of powder inside would have done the trick though.

In fact that would be loud enough to get the attention of anybody in a 5 mile radius. If done right, it is simply mind boggling how big of a boom those bottles can make. A made a few this year that were unbelievably loud. The concussion was similar to being punched in the chest.

Here in Florida its always a contest for who can have the biggest flash/ brightest explosions. I made a rocket last year with close to 4 ounces of flash powder and stars and let me tell you it was BIG. 500 ft climb and then it looked like a supernova LOL
