They really should re-release these old movies in 3D HD. @SuperRichi1A true that , they should also make a batman superman movie , i mean really , you see fan made trailers and they look amazing , not JL just batman and superman you know , and you mentioned henry's suit and im curious what did you think of it ?
I'm in 2 minds about the suit, love the longer cape (hate short capes, on my Returns suit I had the cape lengthened 6 inches!). Like the S design, but I do prefer the classic. No trunks is good, but without a belt it looks wierd lol, but I like the racing treads and cuffs.
I think the Returns suit will always be my favourite though, and Dean Cain will always be my favourite Supes. Cavill will be good I think though, heck, he's British, Brits make great superheros lol!
@SuperRichi1A I AGREE i just think the belt needs to be yellow or at least gold and i like the cape its just the armor look ,i mean its superman , the last thing he will need is armor lol
BOOM! SWOOOSH! Crap!!! The modern trailer style with Michael Bay cuts doesn't do the material justice. Compare it with the epic yet poetic original 1978 trailer that makes it look like the best film ever. This makes it look like another fast food blockbuster.

they tested it in a small town in Texas. You have to wonder if it was deliberately kept from re-release. It would've become one of the biggest blockbuster rereleases ever.
There use to be a higher resolution download of this trailer available on the net, unfortunately i lost my original download and have been searching for years to get it back but still no luck, I think it is an awesome trailer for the best superman movie by far, I wish I could find a higher resolution copy, it's very frustrating that it has never again shown up on the internet, I wish they had included it on the dvd.
in my opinion George reeve was a way better actor and a much better Superman than Christopher reeves but thats my opinion I'm just saying if you haven't seen the 50s show with him in it i just don't think you can say whose the best you know unless you see all the people who have played Superman ..just a thought
the comment about him and the horse was just a joke about how superman was basically indestructible and he was hurt seriously by an animal in a freak thing that claimed the use most of his body. I admit it was in bad taste but it was just a joke.
Yeah, but Reeves killed himself. I'm not sure Superman could commit suicide if he tried! At least Chris SURVIVED the fall. Anyway, i actually agree with you that George was an AWESOME Superman, and a really kick-ass Clark Kent (kind of strange how he played him as bad-ass, and not meek and weak).
Too many inconsistencies about Reeves death! I'm not saying I'm sure, but they should have investigated more, because he may have been murdered! Just the fact that the investigation was suppressed tells me there was more than meets the super-eyes.
oh, if you like BOTH (as I do) AND the new Superman, you might like my 'Adventures of Superman Intro Redux'. I merged the intro from the George Reeves show with clips from Chris Reeve and Brandon Roth's movies and even a little from the cartoons.
no joke. Singer should go down in history as the dumbest man alive for making a movie that sucked so badly, placing it years after part 2 but having nothing to do with the story....wtf singer? Superman cant have kids...its what he gets for using the worst writers in the world...
he played Superman the right way. Not over-the-top like George Reeves. Reeve was intelligent enough to know that the costume itself was so iconic it upstaged the actor in it, so what'd he do? He underplayed it without making the character appear weak.
If they werent trying to make him look like reeve then why do singer, co and media keep refering to him as a close resembelence to him? also why steal the original opening title sequence and music? at least they could have come up with sum new stuff. Gay Routh is so wooden in this its unbelievable and louis and lex aren't much better either. His costume was ok it's just the person in it who didn't have any screen presence. The Director was a joke, singer should leave superman well alone.
You know what, to me Routh looked very plastic when he was Superman, he looked fine as Clark, it was a good movie but Routh was a bit of a crap choice for the Movie.
The problem with Routh, is he didnt have the screen presence of Reeve, or acting ability. Thats why he had so few lines. He cant act. But the script, and costume, did not help him either.
In 1945,a young girl named katu lata kulu came over to America in a grey boat from Africa. A mysterious man killed her by cutting the word "LATUALATUKA" into her back. now that you have read this measge she will come to your house on a full moon and steal your soul unless you follow these directions:
1. Retype this message as a comment for three other videos
People that said all these things about Superman Returns can only say bad things, can't you at least be fair and at least say some good things. Hey it's not like it was Superman III or IV or HULK.
Let's agree to disagree, Superman III or IV were the worst in the series in my opinion. At least Superman Returns go seamleesly with Superman I and II. At least Superman Returns was in the spirit of the first two. The other movies III and IV were played for comedy. Superman isn't suppose to be slapstick funny. End of story.
True Hulk is the worst so far. My girl still brings it up when we make movie nights "You made me see the Hulk..." But doesn't change the fact Superman R missed the mark... The airplane scene was crazy though...
Superman Return sucked because he wasn't challenged. He picked up a boat lifted a big island of kryptonite "OH NO SUPERMAN!!! LOOK OUT!" Boring! Forget about Lois already. Have some aliens land or something. Give us something entertaining to watch and eat pop corn to...
SR was one of the worst films ever, bad casting all round for lex, louis and of course GAYBOY ROUTH as supes. Crap storyline, they turned supes into a PUSSYBOY, too many close up shots of GAYBOY ROUTH'S face while he's flying, he doesn't even remotley look like CR and too top it all off a totally crap Director. i hope to FUK they don't make another one, not with routh, singer or spacey in it. CR Forever as Superman.
I think trying to be *too much* like Reeve would be a mistake. That's not the point of the film - to revive a dead actor like some kind of sick joke. I think Routh was enough like him to make a smooth transition... without trying to be EXACTLY the same. That would have been insulting to his memory anyway. And why is Routh a "gayboy"? Because he doesn't look like Reeve? That's a pretty shallow and useless argument.
SR sucks in so many ways. The colors of Superman's suit in SR look like the colors Evil Superman wore!! His hair is parted on the wrong side! Bad casting! Is Kitty an updated Miss Teschmacher? Horrible script! Sacrilige to recreate Superman I's opening and closing!!
they need to make a superman where he actually suffers and has to make toguh choices not like save lois or not save lois we need more like the return of kryptopn by the destruction of earth so clark hsa to chosse beetween lettign earth die to restore his ppl or let earth live now thast a superman choise
There are still many people out there who think that Superman's symbol stands for the letter S. If this is news for you, you have been wrong the whole time! Jor-El had the same symbol on the planet Krypton and other members of the counsal each had there own. The name Superman was just a name invented by Lois Lane because she thought that he was a "Super Man". So look at the "S" and focus on the five yellow parts...you will see Superman in a completely different way.
Nope, Superman was actually invented by Siegel and Shuster LOL. And the symbol definitely stands for an "S", that's the way the author's intended it. It become more stylized over the years as they decided to trademark it.
I'm talking about Superman: The Movie you idiot I know who invented him LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! You need to watch the movie with subtitles: she says what a super man...and then...Superman. And don't come again saying that he flies around with a letter S on his chest cause then you're just dum. Maybe in the comics but not in the film which is what counts.
Why so aggresive? YOU are the one who should watch the Superman movie again and again, maybe you'll learn to behave yourself. I'm one of the "many people out there who think that Superman's symbol stands for the letter S" because that's what it is, a freakin' big, clear "S". I'm not saying it wouldn't be an interesting theory, to have the symbol standing for House of El or whatever, you just weren't specific enough, your comment sounded like you were refering to the symbol in general.
@takirstarkilx You're right, but only in the movie. None of the versions of Jor-El's costume in the comic books has the symbol. I thought that touch was genius! It's not an S, it's the family crest!
Ok, here's the problem summary: 1-bad casting (except Brandon) 2-lame plot 3-repetitive stuff, which appear in the first Superman movie as well 4-Supes doesn't talk much, neither does Clark 5-Supes SPIES on people 6-illegitimate son. God... 7-Supes doesn't sense the huge ammount of Kryptonite, gets beaten up,then suddenly returns and lifts the ENTIRE island 8-unnecessary hints to Christ 9-stiffness "I'll always be around". Is that ALL he has to say to his big love and his kid???
I agree with the repetitve stuff comment. They tried to do a heroic Superman which was done by Christopher Reeve. They need to go darker with the character because what they tried to do was already done.
Thank god someone else on this planet doesn't think Brandon was a casting mistake. He was the only "right" one, as far as I was concerned. Lois seemed too young and Lex wasn't quite right either, but I can't put my finger on why... maybe it was just that I kept thinking of him as John Doe in Se7en. XD They did okay with Jimmy though, and White, the Editor. But Super did not have enough lines, that's for sure. *grumble*
aww i luv this version of superman christopher reeves WAS superman, on and off screen (it's corny to say but it's true). i was crushed when i heard about his death and i luv how they dedicated superman returns to reeves, that was a good thing to do
I have nothing against Brandon Routh, he's probably the best replacement you could find for Reeve these days. But the script was too damn awful, I never thought I would ever see a dumb, stiff, selfish Superman, who delivers lame one-liners. There was no fun, no magic, nothing! Just disgust at the unnecessary beating sequence. And the anti-climax "revenge"! Wheeeee!
Richard Donner's two superman filmes (Superman: The Movie and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut) will never be equalled. What the hell is with the CGI DOLL of Supes in Superman Returns, when he flies? It looks like shit! Why would they hark back to the original Superman serial from the 30's\40's, where he turned into an animated character when he flew? Doesnt make sense, and looks like crap. Fucking awful film.
I loved both the Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh versions of Superman films. However, the 70's/80's films started to look outdated in respect to special effects and we needed to see what a director can do in present-day.
I'm just glad that CR's legacy is not in dispute since
Chris was Superman in real-life and not just on the big screen. However, that certainly doesn't take away from what either actor accomplished on screen in their respective films.
Um... I agree with lancrerun. Where's the passion, fun, excitement, or joy in the new flick. Besides that, Superman Returns is a really bad movie- Batman and Robin bad.
Are you fucking insane, Superman Returns was the best film of 2006, it shouldn't even be in the same sentence as Batman and Robin is how far superior a movie it is. Dude time to go to the proctologist to get your head out your ass and then swing by the ophtalmologist and audiologist to get your eyes and ears checked.
Yeah, cause what everyone wants out of a Superman movie is an Emo Superman, a no-chemistry romance, a Super-kid, a selfish crybaby Superman who visisbly sighs all of the time, jokes about eating dogs(2 of them), and a finale versus a giant KRYPTONITE rock. If you thought SR was the best film of 2006, I just have one word for you to look up, "denial." I have to agree with you, that was really cool how they MESSED UP Superman, a story that it's near impossible to mess up!
Okay, you must have watched the imaginary movie you created in your head (obviously a disturbed place)because you've made up stuff that didn't even happen in the movie and otherwise your train of thought is somewhat incoherent.
If by "emo" you mean sensitive, then I support the idea of a sensitive Superman, who actually gives a shit about helping people and is not just some roid-raged superbeing who flexes his muscles for pure ego.
There wasn't anyone more anti-Superman Returns before seeing the movie than me. I loved the Chris Reeve movies but figured that any take on the character now would be more akin to the hulk and fantastic four crap that have come out in recent years, and to my suprise I was wrong and you're wrong.
Yes, it was very incoherent the way that Superman tried to woo a woman who already had a fiancee and a kid, he even tries to kiss her. What about using his superhearing and x-ray vision to spy aon her and HER family when they were in pricate. What about flying into a little boy's room when his parents don't know you're there so you can celebrate by directly quoting Marlon Brando (gee Superman has a good memory.)
But the kid is HIS and Lois was in love with him too. It wasn't a question of him wooing her. He didn't try to kiss her - she tried to kiss him. SHE made the "decision to fly with him and see the sights, SHE got on her tiptoes and tried to kiss him, SHE lied to her husband about loving Super and about seeing him on the roof. She went up for fresh air, and neglected to mention their little "interview". How convenient for her.
When did Superman become a god, anyway? He's entitled to make mistakes, as he has done in other films. He's completely and desperately in love with her - and as for "sneaking" in the kid's room, Jason is the last hope for his entire species since their planet was wiped out. OF COURSE he's going to have a touchy-feely father/son moment with the sprout. I'm far more disappointed with Lois Lame than Superman, though the "spying" was something of a surprise.
ALso, speaking of the Hulk, you do realize Singer even ripped off a song FROM THE HULK don't you? Watch the scene where Lex Fires that crystal, it's the main theme from The Hulk movie. Everything elseis either stolen word for word or shot for shot from Singer's other movies or Superman 1. I had my doubts but I at least excepted the film to be entertaining, and it's a bad sign when the six year old next to you looks depressed at the end of a SUPERMAN MOVIE!
Oh yeah, and how is he sensitive? By ABANDONING Earth for five years without even telling ANYONE HE'S LEAVING? Not even the woman he loves or his Mom? How about debating saving a plane full of people who are about to die? How about NOT saving those criminals who got crushed by the giant rock. Superman only did things that involved Lois in this film, becasue that was the only thing Singer wanted to show Supes cared about. Sensitive? YOU are the one that needs to read some comics.
I agree competely, no chemistry, super-kid... there are so many things that Singer missed, he just doenst understand the character, because the strongest aspect of the character is Superman's morals, which are compeltely missed in Returns, but thats because Singer has no morals, just look at his life, between the pain killers, or little boys he brings back to his room, I really dont know why he should direct the most moraled character of all time.
cGeer15, I agree completely with almost all of your comments regarding the film, specifically Superman wanting to hone in on Lois who had a kid with another man (Supes did not know at that point that he was his own child). That is completely UN-superman. The spaceghost27, i agree with you too, on the moral factor. Did not know Singer was a pedophile though!?! Any legitimate info on this?
He jokes about eating dogs? What movie did you watch? Lex was the one thinking about eating the dog, and one dog ate the other. Super had nothing to do with that.
I don't think Superman is a failure or will "fail". It's the first actual super-hero. It's been through a lot and is still here. Same with Batman. But, I think to an extent America's very much taken by Superman. It's very much in "americana" and anything in "americana" ish ard to get rid of really.
The poster of this video says that this is the trailer for the failed re-release of the Orginal Superman: The Movie? What are you talking about?! It was successfully re-release. The only way that it would have failed is if it wasn't released. What a tard!
If it is the original cut, seens that the composing wasn't finish for that. Look attention in this uncut to the scene where young clark run side a train while child Lois, in the train Lane, comment about (short add scene). There is a cut in the soundtrack and a replacement that it's not seanless. It's a evidense that the sondtrack was originally recorded for the movie without this extra scene.
Dude no offense but your english is bad your sentences make some sense but have no point, i aint being rude just reading your comment i got lost alittle until the end part and yes there was 17 scenese deleted from the orignal superman which they put into this movie and also its out on DVD that you can buy in the box set with all the orignal superman movies
Sorry I just got rush. I mean that in this new uncut version thwere is a interrupiton in the music sound, in the scene the young clark is runing outside, by side the train, and the young Lois lane saw hin. The extra scene show Lois talking to her mother about a man runing as fast as the train. With this scene added it took longer, naturally, and the soundtrack in this point get a few change, like repeating a segment, and this segment don't match seamless to the sountract at all.
So my guess is that this scene was cut before final score arrangeents, and futher, to special edition they had to find a way to fit it, so they repeated a sound segment into it. Hope it makes sense now :-)
Oh yeah i remember that its like the music playing gets changed rushed forward about 50 seconds or something sorry for the comment man but i actually remember that
Oh seeing this pisses me off again. The WB totally botched the marketing of this. They released the film for a single weekend in every theater in San Antonio. When it had a fairly low per screen average they ditched the whole re-release on that basis. Well, duh. Most of the successful re-releases were all given limited engagements across the country and they did fairly well because they weren't over saturated. The per screen averages were high because each city only had one theater.
The uncut Superman 2 was actually shown on RTE television about 20 years ago. I have this version, known as the International Version, on DVD. Its well worth a look.
i want to see this in theaters again ... even knowing i will cry at the begining because of my child hoods history.

As for Reeves, he fell off the horse when jumping. He was not "bucked off".

in my opinion George reeve was a way better actor and a much better Superman than Christopher reeves but thats my opinion I'm just saying if you haven't seen the 50s show with him in it i just don't think you can say whose the best you know unless you see all the people who have played Superman ..just a thought
bloodtested 4 years ago
CRUCIFY HIM! No, seriously, I've seen them all and Christopher Reeve is definitely the best.

sticking by it George Reeves was a better superman!!! lol
bloodtested 4 years ago
You must be kidding. George Reeves couldn't act.
ThatChristian 4 years ago
well actually he can and much better than Christopher reeve..He was paralyzed cause he fell off a horse what kind of superman is that.......Too soon?
bloodtested 4 years ago
"well actually he can and much better than Christopher reeve.."
You must be joking.
"He was paralyzed cause he fell off a horse what kind of superman is that......."
He was BUCKED off the horse. I can't remember what happened after that, but what does that have anything to do with how good a Superman he was?
ThatChristian 4 years ago
the comment about him and the horse was just a joke about how superman was basically indestructible and he was hurt seriously by an animal in a freak thing that claimed the use most of his body. I admit it was in bad taste but it was just a joke.
bloodtested 4 years ago
Yeah, but Reeves killed himself. I'm not sure Superman could commit suicide if he tried! At least Chris SURVIVED the fall. Anyway, i actually agree with you that George was an AWESOME Superman, and a really kick-ass Clark Kent (kind of strange how he played him as bad-ass, and not meek and weak).
DrEvilScientistMan 4 years ago
Too many inconsistencies about Reeves death! I'm not saying I'm sure, but they should have investigated more, because he may have been murdered! Just the fact that the investigation was suppressed tells me there was more than meets the super-eyes.

oh, if you like BOTH (as I do) AND the new Superman, you might like my 'Adventures of Superman Intro Redux'. I merged the intro from the George Reeves show with clips from Chris Reeve and Brandon Roth's movies and even a little from the cartoons.

In my opinion, no matter how many actors portray Superman in the years to come, Christopher Reeve was and always will be the one and only Superman.
johnfrausto1984 5 years ago
he played Superman the right way. Not over-the-top like George Reeves. Reeve was intelligent enough to know that the costume itself was so iconic it upstaged the actor in it, so what'd he do? He underplayed it without making the character appear weak.
axltyler 3 years ago
In my opinion, not matter how many actors play Superman for years to come, Christopher Reeve was and will always be the one and only Superman

There's only one Superman(1979)
Britneyny1 5 years ago 2
If they werent trying to make him look like reeve then why do singer, co and media keep refering to him as a close resembelence to him? also why steal the original opening title sequence and music? at least they could have come up with sum new stuff. Gay Routh is so wooden in this its unbelievable and louis and lex aren't much better either. His costume was ok it's just the person in it who didn't have any screen presence. The Director was a joke, singer should leave superman well alone.
Roborav 5 years ago
You know what, to me Routh looked very plastic when he was Superman, he looked fine as Clark, it was a good movie but Routh was a bit of a crap choice for the Movie.
RhythMyth 5 years ago
Routh is no Reeves Chirs was and always be Superman
Britneyny1 5 years ago
The problem with Routh, is he didnt have the screen presence of Reeve, or acting ability. Thats why he had so few lines. He cant act. But the script, and costume, did not help him either.

People that said all these things about Superman Returns can only say bad things, can't you at least be fair and at least say some good things. Hey it's not like it was Superman III or IV or HULK.
Sweetguy3003 5 years ago
They said bad things cos it worse bad...Superman III was actually better..
lambern 5 years ago
Let's agree to disagree, Superman III or IV were the worst in the series in my opinion. At least Superman Returns go seamleesly with Superman I and II. At least Superman Returns was in the spirit of the first two. The other movies III and IV were played for comedy. Superman isn't suppose to be slapstick funny. End of story.
Sweetguy3003 5 years ago
True Hulk is the worst so far. My girl still brings it up when we make movie nights "You made me see the Hulk..." But doesn't change the fact Superman R missed the mark... The airplane scene was crazy though...

It didn't fail it was a marketing ploy to make Superman Returns look better than the original, luckily SR was a total FLOP and utter rubbish.
Roborav 5 years ago
Hmmm, so the theatrical rerelease of the first "Superman" movie failed miserably. I wonder why...
ReijiAzuma 5 years ago
SR was one of the worst films ever, bad casting all round for lex, louis and of course GAYBOY ROUTH as supes. Crap storyline, they turned supes into a PUSSYBOY, too many close up shots of GAYBOY ROUTH'S face while he's flying, he doesn't even remotley look like CR and too top it all off a totally crap Director. i hope to FUK they don't make another one, not with routh, singer or spacey in it. CR Forever as Superman.
Roborav 5 years ago
I think trying to be *too much* like Reeve would be a mistake. That's not the point of the film - to revive a dead actor like some kind of sick joke. I think Routh was enough like him to make a smooth transition... without trying to be EXACTLY the same. That would have been insulting to his memory anyway. And why is Routh a "gayboy"? Because he doesn't look like Reeve? That's a pretty shallow and useless argument.
Romperjet 5 years ago
SR sucks in so many ways. The colors of Superman's suit in SR look like the colors Evil Superman wore!! His hair is parted on the wrong side! Bad casting! Is Kitty an updated Miss Teschmacher? Horrible script! Sacrilige to recreate Superman I's opening and closing!!

So look at the "S" and focus on the five yellow parts...you will see Superman in a completely different way.
takirstarkilx 5 years ago
Nope, Superman was actually invented by Siegel and Shuster LOL. And the symbol definitely stands for an "S", that's the way the author's intended it. It become more stylized over the years as they decided to trademark it.
Laurian1903 5 years ago
I'm talking about Superman: The Movie you idiot I know who invented him LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! You need to watch the movie with subtitles: she says what a super man...and then...Superman. And don't come again saying that he flies around with a letter S on his chest cause then you're just dum. Maybe in the comics but not in the film which is what counts.
takirstarkilx 5 years ago
Why so aggresive? YOU are the one who should watch the Superman movie again and again, maybe you'll learn to behave yourself. I'm one of the "many people out there who think that Superman's symbol stands for the letter S" because that's what it is, a freakin' big, clear "S". I'm not saying it wouldn't be an interesting theory, to have the symbol standing for House of El or whatever, you just weren't specific enough, your comment sounded like you were refering to the symbol in general.
Laurian1903 5 years ago
@takirstarkilx You're right, but only in the movie. None of the versions of Jor-El's costume in the comic books has the symbol. I thought that touch was genius! It's not an S, it's the family crest!

@solja2424 Yeah, a little known actor called Marlon Brando or something like that.
DwightFry78 1 year ago
Laurian1903 5 years ago
I agree with the repetitve stuff comment. They tried to do a heroic Superman which was done by Christopher Reeve. They need to go darker with the character because what they tried to do was already done.
mclaughlin75 5 years ago
Thank god someone else on this planet doesn't think Brandon was a casting mistake. He was the only "right" one, as far as I was concerned. Lois seemed too young and Lex wasn't quite right either, but I can't put my finger on why... maybe it was just that I kept thinking of him as John Doe in Se7en. XD They did okay with Jimmy though, and White, the Editor. But Super did not have enough lines, that's for sure. *grumble*

Fucking awful film.
hcvang 5 years ago
I loved both the Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh versions of Superman films. However, the 70's/80's films started to look outdated in respect to special effects and we needed to see what a director can do in present-day.
I'm just glad that CR's legacy is not in dispute since
Chris was Superman in real-life and not just on the big screen. However, that certainly doesn't take away from what either actor accomplished on screen in their respective films.
zazupetals 5 years ago
Um... I agree with lancrerun. Where's the passion, fun, excitement, or joy in the new flick. Besides that, Superman Returns is a really bad movie- Batman and Robin bad.
cGeer15 5 years ago
Are you fucking insane, Superman Returns was the best film of 2006, it shouldn't even be in the same sentence as Batman and Robin is how far superior a movie it is. Dude time to go to the proctologist to get your head out your ass and then swing by the ophtalmologist and audiologist to get your eyes and ears checked.
bullshiteshite 5 years ago
Yeah, cause what everyone wants out of a Superman movie is an Emo Superman, a no-chemistry romance, a Super-kid, a selfish crybaby Superman who visisbly sighs all of the time, jokes about eating dogs(2 of them), and a finale versus a giant KRYPTONITE rock. If you thought SR was the best film of 2006, I just have one word for you to look up, "denial." I have to agree with you, that was really cool how they MESSED UP Superman, a story that it's near impossible to mess up!
cGeer15 5 years ago
Okay, you must have watched the imaginary movie you created in your head (obviously a disturbed place)because you've made up stuff that didn't even happen in the movie and otherwise your train of thought is somewhat incoherent.
If by "emo" you mean sensitive, then I support the idea of a sensitive Superman, who actually gives a shit about helping people and is not just some roid-raged superbeing who flexes his muscles for pure ego.
bullshiteshite 5 years ago
There wasn't anyone more anti-Superman Returns before seeing the movie than me. I loved the Chris Reeve movies but figured that any take on the character now would be more akin to the hulk and fantastic four crap that have come out in recent years, and to my suprise I was wrong and you're wrong.
bullshiteshite 5 years ago
Yes, it was very incoherent the way that Superman tried to woo a woman who already had a fiancee and a kid, he even tries to kiss her. What about using his superhearing and x-ray vision to spy aon her and HER family when they were in pricate. What about flying into a little boy's room when his parents don't know you're there so you can celebrate by directly quoting Marlon Brando (gee Superman has a good memory.)
cGeer15 5 years ago
But the kid is HIS and Lois was in love with him too. It wasn't a question of him wooing her. He didn't try to kiss her - she tried to kiss him. SHE made the "decision to fly with him and see the sights, SHE got on her tiptoes and tried to kiss him, SHE lied to her husband about loving Super and about seeing him on the roof. She went up for fresh air, and neglected to mention their little "interview". How convenient for her.
Romperjet 5 years ago
When did Superman become a god, anyway? He's entitled to make mistakes, as he has done in other films. He's completely and desperately in love with her - and as for "sneaking" in the kid's room, Jason is the last hope for his entire species since their planet was wiped out. OF COURSE he's going to have a touchy-feely father/son moment with the sprout. I'm far more disappointed with Lois Lame than Superman, though the "spying" was something of a surprise.
Romperjet 5 years ago
ALso, speaking of the Hulk, you do realize Singer even ripped off a song FROM THE HULK don't you? Watch the scene where Lex Fires that crystal, it's the main theme from The Hulk movie. Everything elseis either stolen word for word or shot for shot from Singer's other movies or Superman 1. I had my doubts but I at least excepted the film to be entertaining, and it's a bad sign when the six year old next to you looks depressed at the end of a SUPERMAN MOVIE!
cGeer15 5 years ago
Oh yeah, and how is he sensitive? By ABANDONING Earth for five years without even telling ANYONE HE'S LEAVING? Not even the woman he loves or his Mom? How about debating saving a plane full of people who are about to die? How about NOT saving those criminals who got crushed by the giant rock. Superman only did things that involved Lois in this film, becasue that was the only thing Singer wanted to show Supes cared about. Sensitive? YOU are the one that needs to read some comics.
cGeer15 5 years ago
you are a nerd. you need a woman.

I gotta woman. If you like this flick you probably don't. Unless you're in high school.
cGeer15 5 years ago
I agree competely, no chemistry, super-kid... there are so many things that Singer missed, he just doenst understand the character, because the strongest aspect of the character is Superman's morals, which are compeltely missed in Returns, but thats because Singer has no morals, just look at his life, between the pain killers, or little boys he brings back to his room, I really dont know why he should direct the most moraled character of all time.
TheSpaceGhost27 5 years ago
cGeer15, I agree completely with almost all of your comments regarding the film, specifically Superman wanting to hone in on Lois who had a kid with another man (Supes did not know at that point that he was his own child). That is completely UN-superman. The spaceghost27, i agree with you too, on the moral factor. Did not know Singer was a pedophile though!?! Any legitimate info on this?

Holmes245 5 years ago
If it is the original cut, seens that the composing wasn't finish for that. Look attention in this uncut to the scene where young clark run side a train while child Lois, in the train Lane, comment about (short add scene). There is a cut in the soundtrack and a replacement that it's not seanless. It's a evidense that the sondtrack was originally recorded for the movie without this extra scene.
jerryaltman 5 years ago
Dude no offense but your english is bad your sentences make some sense but have no point, i aint being rude just reading your comment i got lost alittle until the end part and yes there was 17 scenese deleted from the orignal superman which they put into this movie and also its out on DVD that you can buy in the box set with all the orignal superman movies
TheDemonBatista 5 years ago
Sorry I just got rush. I mean that in this new uncut version thwere is a interrupiton in the music sound, in the scene the young clark is runing outside, by side the train, and the young Lois lane saw hin. The extra scene show Lois talking to her mother about a man runing as fast as the train. With this scene added it took longer, naturally, and the soundtrack in this point get a few change, like repeating a segment, and this segment don't match seamless to the sountract at all.
jerryaltman 5 years ago
So my guess is that this scene was cut before final score arrangeents, and futher, to special edition they had to find a way to fit it, so they repeated a sound segment into it. Hope it makes sense now :-)
