It's a good tribute to old Hollywood con films like Lady Eve, but all in all I thought the film was just o.k. Wasn't worth 10 bucks in theatres. The quirkiness in the film got pretty boring after a while (especially Boom Boom(?)). I agree Johnson tried to hard (almost ripped off) to be like Wes Anderson in this. He is still a young filmmaker, hopefully he will have his own distinctive style (which is important if you want to be a name director) later on as his experience grows. Solid review.

Thanks. I've actually never seen Lady Eve before. I thought the film was good but not great. Hopefully his next film will be better
