Hey just tp let you know, I have the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, and the black cord with the built in microphone works with my phone, so the headphone jack DOES support a microphone, not just stereo headphones.

question, isn't the whole magnet idea stupid because if you put your droid in a magnet case or put a magnet next to it when the screen is locked, wont the magnet turn on the phone, thus draining the battery life when your not using it

@dirtmaster flash on the motorola droid is the only thing droid needs to release much better apps. then everything about the droid willl b better. including the apps. but iphone will still have alot of work to b as good as the droid cause they will still b missing alot of features. and droid will have flash within a few months.

can you program it so that the phone automatically stays on when it's in the dock? I had the Storm dock and it just stayed on when it's charging with the clock showing, it was nice. This dock just goes off.

@aariaffxi google 'double twist'. as long as you don't have locked itunes files you can use double twist to transfer music.

@aariaffxi Plug your droid into your computer with the USB chord. Pull don your notification panel and click on the usb thing then mount your droid and it should show up on your computer. open it and create a new folder called music. then simply drag the songs you want into the folder. unmount your droid, unplug, and enjoy. it is really pretty simple. although and protected music you bought from iTunes wont transfer unless you unlock it somehow...

When I turn the phone back on it has to reboot and then I have to reset the GPS location and the place where I am going and again hit Navigate.

This is a huge pain in the ASS!! because in about 10 minutes it does it again. The bad part is when you miss a turn because it shut down and you were waiting for it to reboot so you can reset it. SUCKS! has anyone else had this problem?

I have found one thing that I don't like about the phone and it involves the GPS. I purchased the car mounting bracket to use the phone as a GPS. The problem is that about every 10 minutes the phone shuts down. Even with the moving map while going to a location it just shuts down. I have set the screen saver to 30 minutes but that does not help. See the next post for the rest of the story.

mabey for you. i wasn't interested in the iphone because you are forced to use itunes. and i hate itunes. not only that, but the screen is just plain glass instead of the gorilla glass used by the droid. the droid's screen is unscratchable. also. the screen has twice the resolution. so you can read small text better. you can multitask on the droid too. i can actually listen to pandora, and surf the web at the same time. try that on an iphone. you can't. Droid beats iphone for me.

@sujiro It went just like i said.Droid is releasing alot of the same apps as the iphone including online multiplayer games or arcade games.and even some console emulators.like playstation emulator,gameboy emulator,sega emulator.I can never decide anymore what game to play since i have so many.at least 20 gameboy advance games,10 gameboy color games,5 sega games,2 playstation games,a few arcade games,and alot of other random and useful apps without jailbreaking. so thank you for asking.

I bought a Droid yesterday.. I'm generally pleased... this dock, tho, seems to be too engineered for what you get.. I would rather just a kickstand connected to the device that would fold in.. after all, the dock doesn't provide additional speakers or anything... an attached kickstand would be one less item to pack.
