  • @MegaSpike122 sadly in reality no they are just actors and the american guy aint even japanese hes filipino

  • Iron Chef Japan > Iron Chef America

  • @BallBearingTurboFC3S

I love the original...the whole premise...its like watching a dramatic play out before our eyes, like some Japanese drama if you've ever seen one of them them. The production value just seems higher to me ....with no corny sound effects, no stupid graphics.

also, Shigekatsu Katsuta > Mark Alan Dacascos (chairman actors)

  • @BallBearingTurboFC3S PEOPLE HERE ARE EATING SU SHIT!

  • @BallBearingTurboFC3S

They're both pretty much the same

  • @BallBearingTurboFC3S You're missing a few >>>. As in, Iron Chef Japan >>> Iron Chef America

  • this is the classiest shit ever

  • More like Chef World Order.

  • THANKYOU FOR UPLOADING! :D <3

  • Bobby Flay is a Hack.

  • Back when these were epic battles between masters.

  • I love how all the iron chefs are country named japanese people

  • Does anyone know the track they use starting at 3:30?

They play it during some of the challengers' intros and I think it's amazing

  • @starlitecrusader It started in EDO period Japan. Just because the italians got noodles from Ancient China doesn't make pasta a chinese dish. In the same way putting fish on rice isn't a chinese dish either. There is something that is chinese though: It is ramen.

  • @starlitecrusader It started out in Edo perion Japan. Just because italians got noodles from the ancient chinese doesn't make pasta a chinese dish.

  • @starlitecrusader mm, nope it actually isn't.

  • Mychonny made a parodyof this show. its actually pretty accurate lmfaoo!

  • i miss this show so much! i loved the show then and i still do now! thank you for uploading!!

  • Man i used to watch this as a kid, back in the early 2000s after Iron Chef America came onto the air i lost interest in Food Network and Iron Chef.

  • カリフォルニア米・・・寿司に合わないって

  • Can you believe it's been nearly 20 years since this show aired? 1993 or 94 was the first season i believe.

  • ALL THAT SUSHI DISPLAYED MAKES MY MOUTH WATER

  • @accioanime i know what you mean, i am extremely high watching this and its making me so hungry

  • both shows are great iron chef America and japan

  • @tvworldanimecartoons the only thing is that........japan is original.........XD

  • @tvworldanimecartoons oh.......and the way the japanese chairman says alle cuisine is much better to hear.......XD

  • 44 people are allergic to seafood.

  • Epic Bite on yellow pepper = orgasmic smile with laugh

  • I always loved watching this show :D

  • lol!!! At 3:33 the guy says "she" not "he"

  • Fukui-san!

  • YUMMI !

  • I am a culinary student... I can make Japanese food but I don't eat RAW fish..T_T

  • I enjoy this show and also the american version. I am interested in having to be able to cook under a strict time limit. Something im not good at....

  • Soul Caliber of Food Show

  • "If memory serves me right..."

    I LOVE THAT LINE.

  • 5:00 "shit what did i just ate? wtf is this?, oh camera's rolling ill just smille and laught maniacally" xS

  • so high now. want sushi....

  • i love so much my job!!!!!!!!!1

  • wats with the backdraft soundtrack???

  • nothing more japanese than sushi...except maybe samurai or ninjas.

  • Ahhh...How I have missed you. This show Is and will ALWAYS be AWESOME. I watched this in middle school and it blew my mind! They don't air it anymore and I was soo sad and incredulous at the same time.

  • This great. I am a sushi chef in Greece. It is very inspiring!

  • click on 8:47 to get to the action.

  • when that man bites into his pepper, you know shit's going down

  • 5:00 - 5:10 always used to make me laugh. it looks like he's about to throw the pepper up

  • 05:08 look closely at the host he almost puke... and he got a smile on his face...because he just realize he ate a pepper with worm in it :D hehe

  • This show was awesome. That dude with the clothes was such a pimp..hahhahaaa

  • @ 5:43 HEY THERE! that's no david bowie! where is the poofy hair? and 80's style clothing?

  • I wish they'd still air the original Iron chef on Food Network. I liked it way more than the American one.

  • wow lol iron chef america completely lacks all the flare and awesomness of this one lol

  • I want everybody to know that this is the original Iron Chef and the way that it is playing is the way it was presented on the food network show. I don't know why they got rid of it.

  • @moonangel511 it still airs.

  • @Mypagedamit really where does it air?????

  • @moonangel511 no sure. but i saw it on the tv the other day. I have dish network satellite.

  • This shows got class. The intro alone is amazing.

  • Now this is real iron chef not the crap they do in america

  • As a renowned culinary artist I must admit that I often watch this show with my jaw agape. The sheer culinary virtuosity and daring audacity displayed by these fine chefs are second to none. I have witnessed these visionary culinary craftsmen conjure dishes within an hour that most men could not possibly dream. What boldness! What creativity! I Bow to you Iron Chefs!

  • Ahhh I miss this show! I watched it religiously in middle school!

  • I may be American, but Bobby Flay will NEVER be my Iron Chef.

  • <3 this show xD !!!

always wondering how he can smile while eating that pepper hahas xD !

  • This is the REAL Iron Chef. The Food Netowrk murdered the appeal of the original completely. I never missed The Iron Chef Japan, I cannot stand watching the Iron Chef America and change the channel the instant I see it is on.

  • Yeah, ICJ had a sushi battle. ICA had a breakfast battle. BREAKFAST BATTLE? The two chefs cooked up dishes that are so basic you can order them all in a local diner in the morning.

  • Before Masharu Morimoto sold out to the American shitty version of Iron Chef..SMFH

  • The theme ingredient for this round is.... ULTRALISK!!!!!!!!!

  • i love masaharu morimoto

  • I eat a lot of fatty food and drink loads... what does that make me ? :P

  • @gurubhai01 that just means you spoil yourself with food =P once you go overboard you become American. (worldly humor)

  • @TigerPatamon I'm an American, and I don't " Overboard" myself with food. -_-;???

  • @gurubhai01

    fat

  • @gurubhai01 a future heart attack victim?

  • @gurubhai01 I guess only Chairman Kaga could ultimately decide, but maybe a fat alcoholic?

  • @gurubhai01 Sophisticated as hell

  • @gurubhai01 - You drink LOADS? Eughhh! I think everyone knows what that makes you. Ha ha!

  • @johnnytastetest yeah.. half the perv you are.. :-)

  • do i hear the rock? soundtrack?

  • he just ate a freaking bellpepper by itself... O_O

  • @SanguineBullet667 bell peppers are actually sweet and not spicy =P

  • @SanguineBullet667 You should try it sometime, they are yummy. I prefer the green ones, though.

  • This to me is the MXC of cooking shows!!!!!

  • his memory never serves him wrong :P

  • I laughed so hard when the guy bit into the yellow bell pepper and gave out that smile! LMAO!!

  • Where can I find this subtitled and not dubbed?

  • @coolgamer1677 I'm pretty sure the original airing had it dubbed like this.

  • @TigerPatamon: hi! May I know where you're from? I'm asking as I vaguely recall that i watch the version that was subtitled and not dubbed.

  • @RisingSunRocks I'm from Canada, as I recall, all the episodes were dubbed with the exception of the chairman haha.

  • @RisingSunRocks for some time at the start of the show Kaga was subtitled. i think he was the only one who was. but then later he was dubbed as well . that was a sad day for me.

  • @TigerPatamon Pretty sure the original airing on Fuji TV wasn't dubbed.

  • @coolgamer1677 just look for it around

but since its released on the food channel i think most of them from w/e sources are gonna be dubbed

  • @coolgamer1677 everyone except the iron chef creator dude (the one who finds the capsicum amusing) are dubbed ;)

  • iron chef america is absolute shit

they need to put this show back on air asap

  • @BarbriWarrior With the epic music! It still plays on the cooking channel, but they replaced the music due to copyright.

  • @BarbriWarrior Why is Iron Chef America shit?

  • @ruokco Cause americans can't cook for shit!!!!!

  • @BarbriWarrior this one is a lot better, especially the set. reminds me of the colliseum or some other kind of ancient battle place. but let's be fair, America isn't bad and has it's own stile.

  • @alexzhu1 The american one is fine as a cooking show, except the shitty beginning where they try to make it funny. But they can't recreate the awesome humor of the original, especially the goofy dubbed version, only dubbed thing I like.

  • @BarbriWarrior wow i can't believe i spelled style wrong :/

  • @BarbriWarrior lol I know right.

If Chairman Kaga isn't the host then GTFO!

  • @BarbriWarrior Cant. the Original show is over.

  • @BarbriWarrior At the very least they need to make it available on DVD. The judge who's a poet is hilarious. Everything reminds him of his childhood. 'This Caesar salad puts forth visions of parents screaming at their offspring, telling them that they'll amount to nothing and then locking them in the closet with only rats as friends...just like when I was a child.' And while English dubbing is traditionally crap, Iron Chef's dubbing has always been quite good.

  • @BarbriWarrior this isnt iron chef america. you're talking about another show but okay...

  • @BarbriWarrior Everyone always chooses Bobby Flay, and all he does is grill shit...

  • @ADVERTlSEMENT ((FUNNY BUT SO TRUE!!!

  • @ADVERTlSEMENT

with blue corn tortillas and a mango corn salsa.

  • Never watched a single Iron Chef America. But I know it had none of the awesomeness of this.

  • that epic echo after the bite he takes from the yellow pepper before every battle...those were the good old days :)

  • IIII CUISINE!! :))

  • Good God this show is epic...so hardcore and a hell of alot better than the maerican one

  • Iron chef Italian is kind of crap though... just saying..

  • the dubbing is so awesome :D and how chairman Kaga looks over his stadium like a baby, culinary EPICNESS!!!

  • Don't care what you guys say but I sense the dubbed voices would be acceptable and be even considered good in the 60s.

  • 6:20 Is it just me, or does it seem like the challenger and his friend have some chemistry between them?

  • lolz masaharu is in both versions

  • My favorite episode for my favorite food!

  • 5:05 Pedo Smile

  • @iamdeadsothere i know, huh?? lmao i love how serious he is

  • 1:33, that guy was at the skate park! hes really good at skating!

  • Iron Chef Japan seems much more technical and time-management esque than the American version. Compare the kitchens, the Japanese set is spread out more-so than the American kitchen. Go ICJ woooo

  • I love how Cooking Channel picked up the show. I don't like how they changed the music from the original. It lost its epicness

  • Are any of these episodes available subbed instead of dubbed? It is better in the original language.

  • so..whats the point of having subtitles if the gay american starts filling in for the actor and chef...

  • I'm in love with the voice over guy.

  • GO IRON CHEFS!!!!!

  • i miss the awesomely crunchy pepper :(

  • morimoto is so young here!

  • I like this video. Thank you for your sharing. Hope to see next your video.

  • I wish Iron Chef didn't have to end ='[

  • I love the host guy... especially when he bites the pepper ha.

  • american iron chef looks more like an entertainment show than a cooking competition, n de host, more like a joker than a host

  • The Tuna received some blessings of spit when Chairman said 'KANPYO'

  • GOD I MISS THIS SHOW. DAMN YOU TO HELL IRON CHEF AMERICA.

  • the music is so epic........the blood in my body exploded out of all my crevices. LOL

  • bring back some old memories and I"M HUNGRY!!!!

  • This is the most epic show I watched as a kid, and one of the more influential on my culinary life. Shame it rarely comes on nowadays...

  • morimoto is a god

  • I remember watching this late at night when i was a teenager! The food they ate blew my mind! It's nice to have an American version... it's not the same, but it's still cool!

  • 竹中直人の吹き替え、本人に良く似た声だな

  • did they ever come out on dvd?

  • "it's so great that i start crying"

  • @mrbear24 It's lines like that which make this so so ridiculously campy and awesome

  • I bet 10 million sterling pound that Naoto takenaka's english voice was dub by David Hayter of Metal Gear Solid.

  • takehaka or takehiko inoue

  • the chairman is awesome. what a great idea, he does an intro then just kicks back and gets to try whatever is cooked. doesn't even have to judge, just eat.

  • This show has the most epic intro

  • @Backwardmail Omg dude, how's the guys face at the start ay....me and like 5 of my friends were in tears. HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • im american but these mutherfuckers put it down waaaaaaaay better :]

  • Oh, the music, how I've missed you so.

  • the dubbed voices are cheesy as hell, but I guess it goes along with the light-hearted spirit of the show. The voices are hilarious actually.

  • now this is Iron Chef!!

  • He spent his entire fortune on the creation of kitchen stadium. All of the wealth he had acquired in his whole life was spent on the creation of a new medium in which novel gustatory creations would be conjured. He gave away his whole life in dedication to pursuit of new culinary creations. What a hero, what godliness. Engineers of the new culinary form. Smashing the canon of traditional culinary philosophy. What wonder, what guts. I bow in respect to these fine chefs and quiver in awe!

  • "In some countries, simply displaying what's called 'Japanese food' while maintaining something dramatically different from what you can see as Japanese food can be observed as an increasing phenomenon."

Whatever the criteria, however, the Japanese regard preparation of their cuisine -- which, for the uninitiated, includes far more than sushi -- very seriously.

  • I just love how everyone hates Iron Chef America so much. It's just terrible, and their "Iron Chefs" are just pathetic.

  • If anyone knows where I can find this without speakers... perhaps with subs?

  • @MrPointless Ahh Mr Pointless. Aptly named.

  • Believe it or not but it takes 2 yrs to learn to make the rice

  • Aha, there's Morimoto ... so WHERE IS THE OHTA FACTION.

That was the best IC rivalry ever!

  • A legendary show, The 2000 battle amazing the most amazing thing ever is to see all 7 Iron Chefs stand as one...

  • I LOVED Naoto Takenaka in Waterboys! Hilarious guy!

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • The pomp and drama that composes the first few minutes of this awesome series id really quite gripping and even a little overwhelming .

    To reiterate dOObiedOO :

    Allez Cuisine!

  • the american version is nothing but trash tv

  • It's cute because the actor has such a guy-crush on the sushi chef. It's funny to watch if you think of it like that. XD

  • sushi chefs like this guy is a samurai in a kitchen :P lol

  • and i think to myself the local sushi resturant had good sushi haha
