wish this stayed true to the format set in the other paper mario games, I bought this game wanting an rpg not a platformer. pixls have are just plain boring in comparison to the mario cast when the side characters in previous installment were one of the best parts. that being said I wont be unfair even though I do feel a little cheated, the soundtrack was awesome, the boss fights and environments had an epic feel. still, I just found myself thinking of how much I would enjoy it in the old format

This game is my favorite in the series because of its wonderful storyline, great soundtrack and magical adventure. For some reason, I just felt I had more freedom in this game, whereas in the RPG ones, I was only limited to several attacks. Ya dig?

@MrPdub71197 Hahagodno. Plot wise yes, but gameplay? Please, it's so offensively simple and lazy the only way to die is to deliberately kill yourself. Not to mention the final boss was the worst final boss in the Mario RPGs. All of it's attacks were incredibly easy to dodge, didn't do enough damage, was a jumping wall of HP, and had absolutely no reason for me to take it seriously. Once you quit being a fanboy, you'll see the painfully obvious flaws that make this the worst Mario RPG.

i think they could easily make a sequel featuring dimentio. There are still a lot of mysteries about his past that could be used to make a new game. every time you fight him you later learn that he just simply wasnt trying very hard. for the final battle he displays some serious mindf**k powers which still may not be his full strength.

What do 2D, 3D, and tier rankings have to do with anything? If they put Paper Mario in the next Smash, they would keep him true to his original game as a piece of paper, meaning he would be 2D just like Mr. G&W. And if they put Dimentio in, it'd be the same exact deal. Fawful would be in both Wii U and 3DS versions, as would every other character because both versions are to interconnect with each other in some way. They would be the same game
