  • @kkreyolita You don't understand a word because you're not Haitian, so don't hate if we understand your creole. By the way you should know that we're bilangual.

  • I love this song !!

    KASSAV rocks !!!!

  • It means : "zouk" is the only medecine we've got... And Zouk, in case you didn't know, is that specific type of music, invented by none other than Kassav'...

Kassav' is a bread / pie made of cassava roots flour... Jacob Desvarieux on the guitar (left) and Georges Decimus on the bass (right) are founding members, they started around the end of the 70's... Hope that helps...

  • The majority of the group members are originally from Guadeloupe. The are some from St Martinique and Haiti. Haiti helped both countries gain their independence. So strong Haitian influence and similarities.

  • ther is no such st martinique and haiti never helped guadeloupe and martinique to gain their independence what are you talking about? guadeloupe and martinique are still french departements!

  • @FranwithMaryKay don't say bullshit if you don ' t know. there are no haitian influence . haiti martinique and guadeloupe with french guiana was french colony so share the same language and part of history. martinique ' guadeloupe ' french guiana ' reunion island speak creol and are french department like paris

  • @FranwithMaryKay go to wikipedia

  • zzzzzoooouuuuukkkkk

  • KASSAVVVVVVVVV!!!!!!!!!

  • Increible, escuchar esta verisión original me hace no solo viajar por las dimensiones que atrapa con fuerza metastasica la nostalgia, sino que ademas me aterriza en el descubrimiento del verdadero origen de este ritmo

  • ANYBODY knows another version of dis song, cause i almost sure i heard it in latin america in a spanish version, or just my imagination

  • For sure is the song "la medicina" of Wilfrido Vargas a Dominican singer living now in Colombia. I was in his conceert on December 2008

  • No, this is the original. Wilfrido copied it. This one came out a full year before Vargas' version.

  • I know this is the original because also sound in Cartagena, Colombia by the same time. The song "oh madiana" from this group was also copied by Sergio Vargas and the name in spanish is "oh Mariana"

  • 1985 was in dominica (commonwealth) this track was playing from every street corner - plus it was carnival time. One of those holidays' you never forget. I was a teenager with no responsibilities back then!

  • I was in Dominica too in 1985 and also St. Vincent and St. Lucia and it was just as popular there. Brought a cassette tape back home and played it constantly to my friends irritation. They hadn't gotten the Kassav-fever in the blood.

  • everytime haitians hear that song they start gouye..

  • I love this song since I was a child.

  • bonjour , es ce que quelqu'un aurait cette musique e format mp3 ? merci

Never knew what they were saying but I still sang along to it. Music transcends all languages. If its good its good and this is a great song.

  • @wadadlicat In fact, this music try to explain that zouk music it's the only medicine we have.

Fot example, when we have a problem, we have the zouk music to fight any problem

  • @hotbboyy05 Get over it. Its jus everybody's favorite whether haitian or not danm

  • I don't see why/how he should 'get over it'. He just made a precision (for those who don't know and maybe who are actually interested in the group background).

Haitians do make great music as well, love it !!

    Cheer up!

  • Its not Haitians! But from Martinique

Sorry I dont speak English well
