i m haitian and 17 years old know that song by heart coz my family use to pass this song every time they use to do a party not even everyday smh love that song and i also went to their concert when they were in Haiti in 2009 =))))
Hey guys. i was born in Angola, and at that time there was a war which made everyone very sad; but when people hear the Kassaf song we all danced and made a massive party. thanks Kassaf you guys made a lot of angolan people happy. thanks God Big V.( London). xxxxx.
ANd I from Zaire couldn't understand a word of creole but as a16 yold it was the Greatest time of my life so far High school.. oh boy you know what I mean...
J'aimerai bien que les Haitiens arretent de faire croire qu'ils sont les seuls créoles francophones de la Caraibe, parce que à la longue çà devient énervant, notre créole n'est pas le même, la preuve je ne comprends pas un mot du créole haitien
@kkreyolita You don't understand a word because you're not Haitian, so don't hate if we understand your creole. By the way you should know that we're bilangual.
It means : "zouk" is the only medecine we've got... And Zouk, in case you didn't know, is that specific type of music, invented by none other than Kassav'...
Kassav' is a bread / pie made of cassava roots flour... Jacob Desvarieux on the guitar (left) and Georges Decimus on the bass (right) are founding members, they started around the end of the 70's... Hope that helps...
I'm from Ghana and grew up in the caribbean with this song and the Zouk Machine. . We never understood a word but we danced and sang along. They were really happy times. Many thanks for sharing.

@yaw2kk That's cool I am Liberian with a hint of Bajan and I am into all the Caribbean music also and Soca Calypso Zouk Merengue reminds me of the African songs. The same Rhythms.
Isn't this creole cause im haitian and understand everything they're saying I thought this was a haitian group appearently it aint but this is the bomb!
Ok, I thought this was a haitian track made by an haitian group till my uncle told me otherwise; either way, the song is bad. I understand everything their saying. I remember they played this in an american club in tallahassee, the crowd went crazy. Chile, I was gettin it on the dancefloor, you couldn't tell me nothing.
An malad ..... An malad.......An malad.............An malad........... This is my favoriate song ever. Anytime they play this at a party... everone starts dancing!!! If your party boring.. just play this song and you'll see.... people gon start dancing like carzy....
this is the song that gets any Caribbean girl wet when it comes on.... ever since i was a kid i been dirty dancing to that shit. big up to all the girls who knows how to move to that song
One of the best Caribbean songs ever made! To this day if played at a party, fete, or Carnival the whole place mash up!!! Big Up Kassav and the whole West Indies! Nobody can party like us in the Caribbean!!
(PART 2) I didn't know that secret. Give me a clue to understand. Give me the clue, I don't get it yet. In case I get sick one day. Zouk is the only medicine we have ... it's the way it is! (x4) If that's the way ... then, let's dance the Zouk. Here we go ... It's the way! (we do it) (X 4) Like that! (X 7) Zouk is the only medicine we have ... it's the way it is! (x4) I am sick (X3) ... I am sick (X3) Zouk is the only medicine we have ... it's the way it is! (x4) [ START AGAIN]
KASSAV IS OLD SCHOOL. There are 2 powerful band right now recognize all over the world specially in the USA and CANADA the names are CARIMI and T-VICE

I don't see why/how he should 'get over it'. He just made a precision (for those who don't know and maybe who are actually interested in the group background).
Haitians do make great music as well, love it !!
