@RTWfan1234 probably huge because i'd say most battles (major) would have at least between 10k-30k soldiers per side and huge settings would most closely resemble that, but i'm no historian.

no they werent feigning a retreat a roman tactic especially during the roman republic was that the hastati (guys in blue) would be the front line then after a little bit the hastati would fall back and the principes (middle line) would come and then lastly the triarii (third line would come in. At this time period cavalry was little in the roman army and wouldnt have been used in a confrontation like that though. Great Vid! 5 stars!

I never ever bothered using them in Rome because they're just like Hastati in every single way except for an additional 2 armor and in most cases all that does is make them tire faster. They're certainly not worth the extra point value at any rate.

As for the video, looked sweet. Rome showed those barbarians off in the good old roman three line fashion.

belive me ..you will use any unit and tactic to maximum to win ai...this mod is totaly diferent when is word about fight. Gauls are much stronger and they have huge armies in north border of Italy. You pray god that Germania don't attack you in early stage of game becouse they are stronger then gauls. I dont want talk about spartans in this game ... to kill this guys you will need guns :)

NO its a SpQr mod but guy edit spQr battle with sounds of inasio barbarorum. But SpQr and BI are two realy diferent mods... SpQr is made to be playd with Rome and its wery intensive and have extreme battles. BI is made to be historical correct. Both mods are one of the best mods.

Its supposed to make the units look different but reading the past few comments I am now confused on which mod it is exactly. To my understanding SPQR mod does not make them speak latin. That is a different mod. You can easily increase the size of the legions without the mod in the options menu.

ZeL408 no you cant because SpQr have more units size then orginal RtW...it is coded in some files. Well Spqr have realistic battles "Huge battles and they last long you cant defeat gauls like in original so easy. In some battles you must be very good tactician to win. At the beginning the first battle will be against Hanibal in Italy with their huge army. And you attack him with scipio.
