  • yow ck is the best and will always be the number one bouyon band in dominica none cyah test .

  • 767 U DONE KNO!!!! KEEP DOING YOUR TING BRODA! BLESS!

  • is there a difference between Haitian creole with Dominica creole

  • Haitians speak Creole which can be translated into English and is accepted as an official language,

Dominicans speak patois, which cannot or hasn't been directly translated into English and is not accepted as an official language. It is more or less accepted along the lines of broken French/Creole/English mashed up into phrases.

  • @Amerimokkka lmao what fuckry yuh talkin?

Dominican "Patois" is a variety of creole just like Haitian is. Saying its just a broken french mashed up into phrases is probably the stupidest way to describe the language, and only reveals ignorance. Dominican Patois is a language, and a valid one just like Haitian Creole which can be translated into any language you want. The only reason Patois is not an official language is because Dominicans themselves do not want to make it an official language

  • @lexdiamonds1990 Are you fucking slow dumb ass? or did you just read the first 5 words of the comment I left a year ago?!?! This shit is so irrelevant now, lmao! You basically repeated what I said all whilst calling it fuckry. Everyone knows that patois is directly derived from french as well as the languages of the other colonizers mashed into one colloquial "language", the only ignorance here is being spewed from your keyboard u lame. You're a fucking asshole, go shit somewhere else.

  • @lexdiamonds1990 Language in itself is a mash up of phrases idiot, u're obviously ignorant of this fact. No one said Dominican patois wasn't valid, I said as you repeated, it has not yet been made official, almost doesn't count. As far as it being able to be translated, of course it can, it contains more French words in it than any. Did I ever say it wasn't a variety of Creole? I merely said that it was not accepted by the mainstream.

Prove it is not a combination/mashup of those 3 languages.

  • @Amerimokkka Prove what, that Creole is not a combination of French and African languages? Why would I if its true? And when did I say that it wasn't?

Language is not a mashup of prases, it has to have a consistent grammar and logic. You can't just throw a bunch of expressions together and call it a language, it doesn't work like that.

And it was YOU who said in the first place that Patois cannot be directly translated into English.

  • @lexdiamonds1990 Language evolves into consistent grammar and logic u ape. It could have never began as it exists today! Therefore it began as a mash up of phrases, other languages and colloquial terms. To quote myself because ur obviously too daft and cannot read "Dominicans speak patois, which cannot or hasn't been directly translated into English".. I guess you missed the part about, "or hasn't been translated" just to hurl an insult at me anonymously. Find someone else to shit on asshole...

  • @lexdiamonds1990 You said it wasn't when you said "Saying its just a broken french mashed up into phrases is probably the stupidest way to describe the language", so now you agree? I don't know why you wouldn't want to prove that Creole is in fact a mash up as I correctly stated. Maybe it will prevent you from sounding ASSish because then you would know what you're talking about instead of trying to shit on others without having done the research. Suddenly I said it cant be translated? Please!
