Ok there is indeed a flap at the back of the cards. YOu cant see it but its there. I saw that in a magic shop while they were packing and stuff

why does he hold the cards so close to the edge ? hmmmmm and when he sticks the card in it looks like that is just a flap printed to look like a deck of cards...

all of masuda's tricks are heavily gimicks. theres no way you could create his miracles without them. but this trick has to be done sitting down by a table unfortunately. check out his "wow" trick.
