Is this fake? I hear something like a tambourine or hi-hat sounding rhythm, and is that really coming from the cajun, or do they have a tambourine player in the background? The guitar player is hidden, could some more rhythm player be standing beside the camera?

@BelRiose2000 I think the cajon has a snare and that is what you are hearing that sounds like a tambourine. Notice the difference in sound when he hits the cajon toward the top versus in the middle, which is when I notice the snare. I've got a snare bongo cajon and it works the same way, I hear the snare towards the center more.

Different timber, but the main difference is the pat pending snare system and the tuning of the snare.

Each drum is tuned for the individually to suit the drummer.

@CKustra BTW! I've come up with my own poor man's Cajon/Rock-box. I incorporate a regular snare with a djembe, accompanied with hi-hat. I get the great 'earthy tone' of a djembe with the sweet hybrid sound of the Cajon!!  I'll record and post it as soon as I can so you can see what I'm talking about :D

but u build a woodn box and took the snaresrtings (in german we call it snare teppich) from a snare and install it inside of it...if u can use guitar strings...i dont think so cause snare strings are some other..
