  • ...Yes I Hear Ya...go on Man...

...You would think a slow song would/might get you to 2nd base...

...But back in the day...This song got me all the way home...haha...

  • Ah.. memories of Hugh Jarrett (Big Hugh Baby), WLAC Nashville, in the early 60s brought to you by Ernie's Record Mart and Randy's Record Store. Bought several of Jimmy Reed's 33s mail-order. Great stuff. Thanks for the upload.

  • My favorite of the 50s blues singers.

  • jimmy reed grate singer and guitar player 5+++++ .frind jim

  • Jimmy Reed, one of the greats blues singer, influenced Elvis in playing this, but can't touch Jimmy.

  • Jimmy Reed was one of my grandfather's favorite blues singers.

  • Mama was around to help Jimmy out with lyrics he'd forget from time to time. She got a little loud in the Vee Jay studios this time, but she sounds like a backup singer.

  • @411Rocco I never noticed her or thought she was a backup singer. That is the cutest story! Her helping with the lyrics. My old man's friends called him the BOSS MAN! This tune was one of his favorites. I always thought it was (YOU JUST "TALL" not TALK! JIMMY talks kinda JAZZY, but TALL would be more appropriate I believe!

  • ..you ain't so big, you just talk, that's all...yeh!

  • My boss, or should I say ex boss, is a useless deluded, dead weight cock sucker, and he can eat shit and go to hell.

  • Where does the name "Boss Man "come from? Does it help to know Boss, spell backwards .means a double S O B

    Just saying...

  • @jusatyro aint that, Stupid S O B :-)

  • R.I.P. my pops !! This was his favorite blues jams ,, He grew up in East L.A. in the 50s 60s : ( Great jam .

  • the Rolling Stones totally based their early sound on Jimmy Reed.but just didn't get that looseness....for me there's nothing as laid back as Jimmy Reeds blues...

    and this song brilliant example...

  • they don't make drummers like that no more !!

  • @bluesoul1961 The only drummer that comes to mind right away is Meg White of the White Stripes. She plays it real simple too.

  • Dedicated to all the plantation owners.

  • You ain't so big you just tall... that's all

  • yeeehh !!!!

  • Jimmy Reed is God

  • Listen to Mama Reed's vocals in the background! I love this. Thank you.

  • This good music if there is any true blues lovers.

  • I've been working on this song.
