@242neb very unlikely, most small boat work is done by enlisted. coas guard officers do more advanced things such as aviation, run cutters or government related work.

just wondering, when youre finished working, do u go home to the base and sleep or do u go home home?

sorry im just a teenager, but i do know that if your on duty you sleep on the base, then you go home when off duty. Some stations have housing just for the crew to stay at until they buy or rent a house.
