I got the idea from your tutorial to use the double mask way. I tried before to motion track but it didnt work well since my laser burn crosses itself and makes intricate turns. Hopefully it works out.

You do have a point, but I actually created this tutorial for a specific audience of Star Wars-fx fans who know the basics, because of other tutorials that have been done before actually.

And you might be surprised how many of them didn't work this method out on their own.

Although I like the outcome, and the technique is near-identical to mine, I don't like how you make the tutorial. it's a lot of "okay, so I prepared this one, and it's kinda like that one" parts, which can leave the viewer wondering what's really to be done.
