I know how most young Hmong adults feel. But make no mistake, everyone should consider the fact that we would have gotten involved one way or another. If it wasn't fighting with the USA, then we would have been recruited by the Communist Vietnamese army. One way or another, we would have fought, and died. It just so happened that Vang Pao decided that we should join the CIA's recruitment. Our people now benefit from their sacrifice. The best thing we can do, is to help those still left behind.

I know that one day the Hmong people will deserve the rights they deserve 30 plus years ago. For our brothers and sisters back in Laos, being tortured everyday, my heart truly goes out to you, my tears fall whenever i see my people die. I wish I can just do something about it. I'm doing a report on how the Hmong people are being hunted after the Americans left so that the information will hopefully be passed on how the Hmong have contributed to the Vietnam War. Just the look in those child eyes, make me feel so lucky to where i am now. i have 2 baby bois - i cant imagine how hard it would be in those mothers shoes running in the jungle, losing loves ones. Not fight? We are blessed to have fought and have the opportunity to taste the freedom in the USA. Unfortunately so many of our youths are too caught up in acting like gangsters and not get an education. Those who are educated only care about themselves and earning respect among other hmong people. Its a lose/lose for the Hmong if we fought or didn't. The only positive is that we and our children will be born free, and hopfully we can use this opportunity in the USA and make a difference.

The war is over. Outside world does not accept any more refugees. If you want UN to open refugee camps again you need to plan another war? what its name should be? Second Indochina War? As far as I know, upto now, Thailand did not give citizenship to eany ethnic tribe, but, only 'Thai Bangkok'. How such a nation can think about big thing.

I know how most young Hmong adults feel. But make no mistake, everyone should consider the fact that we would have gotten involved one way or another. If it wasn't fighting with the USA, then we would have been recruited by the Communist Vietnamese army. One way or another, we would have fought, and died. It just so happened that Vang Pao decided that we should join the CIA's recruitment. Our people now benefit from their sacrifice. The best thing we can do, is to help those still left behind.

I know that one day the Hmong people will deserve the rights they deserve 30 plus years ago. For our brothers and sisters back in Laos, being tortured everyday, my heart truly goes out to you, my tears fall whenever i see my people die. I wish I can just do something about it. I'm doing a report on how the Hmong people are being hunted after the Americans left so that the information will hopefully be passed on how the Hmong have contributed to the Vietnam War. When the Americans left, they took time to help the us, hmong. but it bothers me that no one understans or even know wat we Hmong people sacraficed to keep americans number high. i read ten hmong soldiers died for 1 american private soldier! its sad! 1/10 ratio is really bad for us hmong people since only a few were allowed to immigrate over at a time.

aww this is so touching - brings tears and shivers to me. Just the look in those child eyes, make me feel so lucky to where i am now. i have 2 baby bois - i cant imagine how hard it would be in those mothers shoes running in the jungle, losing loves ones. Not fight? We are blessed to have fought and have the opportunity to taste the freedom in the USA. Unfortunately so many of our youths are too caught up in acting like gangsters and not get an education. I'd agree on that. Finally, if you're Hmong, would it bother you if your people are dying each and every day of the week while no other people care, but your own race? I look at his picture everyday..and i havent even met him in person..but i still think what is going through his head at that moment. The shitfull Lao government is fucked for doing this to the Hmong people. Thats why when a Laos person talk shit about Hmong people, I kick his ass twice as hard just to feel a little payback. This is what happens when libbs when in congress try to run a war. these people gave their lives helping the US fight and this is how they are theated they deserve none of this and I am ashamed that this is what the libs are tring to do again in Iraq. Please think what will happen if Hillary, Obamah, or Edwards get into the Whitehouse. We need strong leadership that will stand up and help our allies not turn a blind eye to them. the Hmong people should be given citisenship.

believe it or not, our hmong people are suffering. there's not a whole lot that we can do now. laws are laws. american society will not help us out. we should have stayed out of the war and let the american soldiers die instead and let them suffer the loss. we lost a lot of our people thanks to the United States. they won't budge to help as what they say, they have a war right now with Iraq. help us everyone. help us save our hmong people.

Another thing Thia**** your country got rich off support from the U.N. for all the refugies from Cambodia and Laos. Now the world know were Thailand is because of all the Thai/Lao restuarants all over the U.S. own by the Lao people and you are a Thai-essan you are Lao. your country need to recognize all of that and maybe except the terrorist or rebel which ever label you choose as citizens and not deport them.

It a website put together to get our Hmong Youth to go to the UN to save our people. According to FFC, in 2001 there were 17,000, and in 2001 there is only 3,000 HMONG left in the jungle of Laos
