I am 15, I am from England, I went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, with a small group of about 30 girls from my school, along with my whole Diocese. I wasn't expecting for such amazing things to happen to me while I was there. I am not rich, I couldn't even afford to go, but my parents came to an arrangement with my Chaplaincy. Best £500 and the best 5 days of my life.. The pain, the tears, the tiredness and the ache, it was all worth it. Lourdes changed my life.. Such a special place.. God bless <3

I love the sweet little rays of God's mercy through our Holy Mother. God died of His Godliness and created a perfect human Mother, for the plan of our salvation. Eve is no longer our mother,but Mary :)This song reflects glimpses of God's glory.

I know this as Hymn to the Theotokos, the words are different and the refrain is also different. Rejoice o most Holy Virgin and Mother, whose heart is of love and of grace Divine. Refrain Rejoice Rejoice rejoice o mary, with purest hearts we sing praise unto you. Slavonic Words Likuj Presvjataja D'ivo i Mati, Ispolnenna l'ubvi blahodati. Refrain Likuj Likuj Likuj Marije, Cistym serdcem umilenije. Repeat refrain. I go to an Orthodox church and this version is very popular.

@Brightstar27 You could ask the same thing of Elizabeth when she said, "Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, why am I honored to receive a visit from the Mother of my Lord." Or why did the angel say Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you.

We honor the Mother of our Lord. She always points us to her Son. Praise God. Mary said, "yes," so that Jesus could be born and save us from our sins.

A similar hymn is sung to this tune at the Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (Norfolk, England). There are also many other versions including one that can be sung in any Anglican or RC church that was written by The Rev. Geoffrey Squire. Many in England call that tune 'Walsingham'. It is very beautiful and loved by people of all ages.

@hiroshi2020 I wish. Those are beautiful verses. We get three to four verses at best in most American worship aids. One publisher uses seven verses, but six are verses by Brian Foley - very scriptural.
