Hi today they had i installed a new update. I tried the cannon rush twice and every time i build my pylon at there base. The com sends all his harvesters at my base and i don't know how to win them. they keep a harvester at there base and they send the rest. So i cant do anything i do however kill the first wave of harvesters but then he has a ton more coming at me!!! plz help if you can i know you are busy so no rush. =)

the problem is after that. if you're lucky you'll get that wall ready, and have mass air units. then you need to be sure were to attack and when.

@LightElementLord you don't need to build a pylon... just train probes while you are defending yourself with 2 or 3 probes at a time, after a while send all of them to kill all his drones and he won't make any more units.

it's not so important to beat 7 AI on insane, there are ALOT of good players that have problems with that. just play for fun man :)

An easier way is to just be Terran, play on the lava map (8 player don't remember name), and just lift to the high yield. After a while, make sure you make another CC to lift to the island. Just mass BC's and let the AI fight each other.

P.S. Make sure the AI's are all Terran :)

I did it on another map massing carriers. Took a really long time. I did a forge with cybernetics to get the sentries to prevent them from going up the ramp and expanded.

I did mass ravens against toss on Lava Flow, took all 4 of the island minerals, and then turret/defense drones, lots of worker harassment, and very turtled in 2 island bases, trick is to harass whichever computer player is in the lead, and pit the rest against each other.

A better map for this is Abyss. At least your opponents DONT attack your probes/drones/scv,s in the early game.

I did use protoss against all zerg opponents and massed void rays only... and it did work. And i will give you another tip.... wall off like Husky AND expand before the 10 minute mark, then start massing void rays. Hope this helps.

FYI this is patched so that if you build inside an Insane AI's base, they will attack (pulling drones too usually) even if they can't 'see' it...

and they DO now do drops, they loads up their overlords with Hydralisks and Roaches and bring overseers too... so good luck :/

Also, the beginning AI you spawn with WILL drone rush. But just keep making probes and once you get all 10 probes you can return the favor and beat them.

I just did this the exact way husky did and it still works. The only thing I did different was made a mothership to cloak the front wall of buildings. This way you can focus down overseers and defend easily. I also waited until there was one NPC left to attack. If when you move out to attack they attack you instead let your wall defend and just base race. Eventually you'll do enough damage to make them retreat then you can rebuild your wall and basically A-move to win.

@sardarhesam if u were to make the initial cannon further away from their base and some cannons near ur pylons, then they wont rush. slowly work ur way into their base with cannons and u'll be safe

@mikehanks The easiest way to do it now is to do it on "Lava Flow". Be Terran, and make sure you spawn on either the top left, or bottom right side. Right away load your SCV's into the command centre and fly over to the side island. There you have 2 expos to mine off of. Go straight to battle cruisers and build only turrets. They shouldn't even attack you.

oh god! Don't try proxy pilon. AI will always send it's drones to attack your probes or nexus, so kill'em one by one. Do it until you have 12 or 13 probes, then attack and kill all residual drones. AI near you couldn't mine. Then make a lot of cannons to block the ramp. And only then go into carriers with mama-ship. That's all. I have just done it on my own.

Every time I try this, the NPC come over and drone rape me. How did you get them to not do that to you. It happens within the very first 5 seconds of the game, they just come on over and start reaping havoc, I don't go near them, and they come over anyways...

Yeap every game you get drone rushed! Tried a different map and they attack once you drop a pylon anywhere to try and piggy back the cannons. Island trick works.

you must fend the drones off for a little while until you can build your cannon behind their mineral line, also, you can build some cannons in between you and the AI so the drones don't go to you. that's what I did

@sardarhesam Yeah, looks like a lot of us had that problem. However, if you build your first pilon below the cpu's base instead of in the base, you won't get worker rushed. Choose a map like Boneyard where you can place your 1st pilon & two cannons just below the ledge by the cpu's minerals. When the cannons finish, move your probe up the ramp to give the cannons vision so they start attacking. Also, no reason to make the opponents all zerg--that just makes cannon rushing more difficult.

What a lot of you guys may not realise is that you don't have to invest purely into BCs. There are a few key points.

It is beneficial to bring some SCVs with you to repair BCs mid fight.

It is important to be 3/3 upgrades by the time you push out.

It is beneficial to have a few medivacs of marines to assist with corrupters if need.

Use your Yatamo Cannon.

Type "sc2replayed" in Google and search "Baldie24" in site and my replay of the game I did should be there. Download it and watch :)

@pyeclam the safest way to do it is on lava flow, as terran, enamies protoss (because of less anti air, however you can micro against any race), make upgraded mass (20+) battlecruisers. To keep minerals low you can make 10 turrets per side (1-2 in the back) of the island.

@24Baldwin For real man, they don't realize you're on the island until they're all dead.

Lava Flow. Take the SCV that doesn't fit into the CC to the top right corner and build a CC near the other island. When it's done lift off and you have both islands and four expos without being bothered for 20 minutes. I massed banshees and vikings ( to take out overseers) and seriously had 7000 min 4000 gas left with queues filled up. 75 cloaked banshees with no overseers means main base is gone.
