  • i like the sound of that torque wrench clicking.

  • @ED9 what were you doing at 2:09 - 2:12 ?

  • @S3cK5hun8 At 2:09 he is grinding valve seats as well as valves. And at 2:12 he is checking valve spring locks and retainers. Hope it helps. ^^

  • i like the music

  • DOHC POWER!!

  • @iamrakii every car these days have double over head cams, nothing special

  • @biddiem yeah i know :) that's why im saving my SOHC for some reason..

  • "hey thats a pretty sweet looking car, i wonder if- OMG! its a hatchback, NOOO!

  • brilliant

  • Great job! Greetings from Poland! I LOVE HONDA!

  • honda copyright infringment! block it!! sopa 2011

  • if we got rid of the music and replaced it with some verbal instructions would have a brilliant video but still good job

  • the people that do this job are so fucking skilled and not on amazing wages, bankers that plunge our countries into trillion dollar debt crisis's are on 80k a year +, how about a wage swap! props man amazingly interesting video and well worth the watch!

  • Better than new !! Really nice video and good work !

  • Great video, very interesting to watch :)

  • what I'd like to know is how to set the cam trees positions.

  • Gratulations

    good jub

    pawer of VTEC

  • wow u didn't use any red thread locker on the backside of the main bearings to lessen the risk of a spun bearing. i always use the thread locker it is a nice idea especially when u spend lots of money building a motor

  • I'd drive it.

  • want power? get a v8 ,supercharge it

  • nice fat 5's

  • you forgot the part where you measure the bearing clearance. . ohhh unless you dont do that down there

  • mocking bird!

  • Can you install this engine on a 01 cavalier coupe??

  • @93Jafet no never

  • @93Jafet you could do it with lots of mods. if someone can put a 454 big block V8 in a acura integra this would be easier IMHO

  • @ThisCantWaitAMonth Not funny after 3 years

  • name of song????

  • @takis760 MockingBird by eminem

  • and that in just 4min :o

  • nice,video,music,... ! =)

  • very cute indeed

  • Excelente video, estão de parabéns, tanto o mecânico(ótimo trabalho) quanto o dono do carro(bela máquina)

  • awwwwww...dat little block is so cute i remember my first first training bra

  • @jerbglarbgrhewbgh so you read the top comment?

  • Sexccc

  • its orgasm when the crank moves so smooth :D

  • @Davisbigboy976 a crankshaft will move smooth even if all the journals are tapered and out of round.

  • Parabens , excelente serviço e video muito completo , gostei do seu serviço muito bom .

  • eye candy

  • precision. precision. :))

  • its like a metal lego engine haha.. engine is an engine they all are limited by one thing inertia

  • music irritating

  • lol whats with the air rachet.

  • got that lil thing must be a pain in the ass to work on... with big hands

  • muy buen video

  • B16 most reliable .. Yes they wanted speed and power and they got it

  • hater atleast this can max out 1200 hp

  • damn you know all your specs?

  • nice video

  • B16 is great small engine. Enough powerful for light civic. :))

  • كفوو

  • They said they wanted speed? They said they wanted power?? Then WTF are you building a honda for lol.

  • Great rebuild!

I have one question for you. Do you know if the Y21 transmission fits the B16A1?

  • first of all who ever said s2000 is better than civic or any car is stupid it all depends how you modify it,

  • Nice clean and proffesional JOB! Trabajo bien echo y limpio proffesional BIEN HECHO! nicely done and well put together 5/5

  • algo bienn eseee..

  • why use so much oil when installing the crank... way too much.

Lot of oil will be ounderneath the main caps.

  • why you guys hating so much thats a pretty decent engine size to power ratio is thru the roof on those engines and there reliable

  • parabens pelo video, não fazia nem idéia de como era um V-tec por dentro... vlw

  • ur taling about 200cc

  • Altronzero r ustupid or something? s2000 suck! a honda civic will destroy it! get the fuck out of here!

  • @CAPMADZ Lol @ raging Civic Fanboy.

  • Baby engine for baby cars... Let's see them get an s2000, might be 100x times more interesting.

  • @AltronZero I agree, I love the S2000's. I purchased an Integra for now because that's all I could afford, but I definitely hope to be able to buy an S2k at some point.

  • Be a man and buy a bike... Ricers = Waste of time...

  • Nice vid !!

  • lol at 1:50 xD

  • It's an air ratchet not an impact! Good build

  • He used an air tool that was on a lower setting than lettin 1rip lol I build engines for a living I always use air tools not as if he bounced on the impact jut doing them up and it saves work on your arm haaaa and y r people asking what sort ov torque wrench is that it's a small 1 like a normal torque wrench only smaller :)

  • awesome song.

  • 1:50 fail! Lol

  • After reading that admonishing top comment, I lol'd when I saw his name was 'kittygirl4eva.'

  • @HelterMcSkelter are you kidding, the fact that you assumed that it's a guy makes me lol. My gf prolly knows more about engines than your dumbass ^^

  • @goodkill1 Guy or girl, it's still incongruous as hell to sound like a mechanic when your name resembles a pre-teen girl's.

And seeing as you base my knowledge of cars on (let's see) absolutely fucking nothing, how could you possibly be wrong?

  • @HelterMcSkelter You sit there and cut down some chick who made an obvious fact with useful information because of her s\n. I think it'd be funnier if the girl was a preteen and knew more than you ^^

    Now get mad kid :D

  • @goodkill1 How... did I "cut her down"?

  • @HelterMcSkelter funny thing about nicknames and such at the shop i work in our ASE certified master technician is a 25 year old woman she weighs 150 pounds and shes hot as fuck her car a civic decked out in hello kity and is hot pink laugh at it all you want until you run against it she blew the doors off of a C6 ZO6 now he can tell his buddys he got his ass handed to him by hello kitty her plates say t1nyk1ty its funny as shit

  • @monstermiataman Hah! That's pure awesome. I hope the guy she beat was a roided out truck driver with Yosemite Sam mudflaps.

  • @HelterMcSkelter yeah its pretty awsome getting the pleasure of seeing a hot ass chick bent over a car everyday the work pants are a little loose but you can still see lol

  • @monstermiataman coolstorybro

  • it appears that this isn't this guys first engine rebuild and he knows what he's doing. This is a video about he how rebuilds it. Not a demonstration on proper rebuild. He didn't mess anything up on this motor so there is no reason to complain about this engine rebuild, it's a perfectly rebuilt engine.

  • build me one too!!!

  • just cause there is absoloutely nthing to pick on besides his use of air tools , what a fuckin joke

  • you guys all suck balls , n shut the fuck up!....stupid fuckin comments , no one has a fuckin clue.....ive been a mechanic for a long time now , n using air tools in the matter this guy does , there is nothing wrong with it wat so ever!

  • My 1600 Kw electric car, with 95 Kg carbon fiber / kevlar with titanium reinforcements, one piece body/chassis, for a total vehicle weight of 680 kg, & high capacity Lithium Ion Batteries, does 6.857 sec 1/4 mile, uses NO oil, NO noise, swap times: motor 27 sec flat, electronic motor/torque control 15 sec. batt pak 5 sec (2 races)

4 wheel drive with 2 hi-torque 3 phase motors; and the only smoke it makes is at the wheels for 2 secs at the start line before the torque circuit takes control.

  • I LOVE ENGINE REBUILDS!

  • @sweetlikeadam indeed, those small air ratches have NO torque to them at all, there just to rapidly get the bolt down so you can finish with the torque wrench.

  • that was one nice ride and a powerful engine .i know we have came a long ways because there's inline 4 motors out there out running most v8 cars and trucks

  • What the name of the song??

  • @red666A Its the beat from Mockingbird by Eminem without the lyrics.

  • Nice vid

  • this guy feels like hes building somthing unique, what a lame ass . and who uses air tools on an engine.

  • he does everything with a screw driver lol putting hte bearing into place, pushing the pistons in..

  • they said they wanted beyonce on a ham sandwhich.

  • Another civic with a b16 on the streets ready to rock ;)

  • oh aq o motor fico lindo bom trabalho parebems

  • thnx for the vid!

  • nice vid. but...what's name of this song? or where can i download it?

  • did you see those cute little pistons... awwwwwwwwwww

  • You Youtube mechanics are amusing as hell, bragging about cars you probably don't even friggin' have. It's like people don't click on videos to enjoy them anymore, but to make stupid comments and have childish arguments.

  • Looks like A child's toy compared to my 454 .

  • @ATEAMSTYLES too bad it would probably eat your 454 if it was in the right car

  • @lolshitty Umm no. i have A both and My Corvette eats them up.

  • what kind of torque wrench is that?

  • song sucks.....

  • awww what a cute little block

  • @DThaeman cute little block can run at 40psi

  • @TheGuywithecamera for like less then 100 miles tho lol

  • @JoninFlaco naa its built for the preasure forged pistons and sleaved cylanders is preimaraly what you need for the top end and then a skunk2 crank or something better

  • que motor mas lindo T.T

  • Eminem is a faggot!!!

  • how come everything fits in place the first time you try!?

  • @boomblad1 maybe they get everything ready before making video??

  • I love eg civic ,me too!

    RAIDEN jack J2M3 CIVIC

  • is it possible to replace main and rod bearings without removing head?

  • @michaelhynh lol yes

  • @michaelhynh on any engine, if you remove the crank to do the mains, the pistons will fall out since that's what holds them in place.

If you do the rods, you're removing the pistons and you need the head off to reinstall the pistons.

  • @michaelhynh yes it is if u have a special stand to lift the engine up side down because i did in college

  • @michaelhynh yes, remove the oil pan and everything else in the way, and do it from under the car

  • What a great video.

  • Bet You Won't Click Here! :P

  • beautiful !!! what's the name of the song ?? :D

  • @pakkiaman2

    eminem - mockingbird i think

  • @fretuudude thank u bro.

  • @pakkiaman2 np :)

  • that is a sick build

  • what kind of torqu wrench is that

  • how much would that cost?

  • fuckin beaners

  • @XxJareebxX At least the beaners have a car. unlike you ass who play video games all day and talk shit about others.. I bet you cunt ass dont even have a car. Just chill dont talk shit about other people if you dont even have a car. You no pussy getting bitch

  • @nunucpt lol lil beaner and your lil v tec when will you ever get a real car like a nice dsm?

  • @XxJareebxX I rather stick to Gas saving monsters. Or my everyday driver Aka My maxima. wheres you car at? Oh yea i fogot you dont have one!! :P

  • @nunucpt let me know when you got past 14 sec in the 1/4.... :]

  • @XxJareebxX hhahahahaha my honda would ass rape your dsm!!! honda del sol with a h22 dohc vtec motor with no power steering no a.c. weight reduction sway bars sway bars lowered on skunk2 springs full 3 inch turbo back exhaust has a borge turbo running around 550 horsepower and the car only weights 1962lbs pretty good considering im 17 years old and i did all the work myself lol get at me bitch!!

  • @keepinmyhustle I will race u...

  • @lexusl650h im sure u will bud talkin on youtube isnt going to do anything

  • @keepinmyhustle lol 550 at the fly wheel. my car makes almost 600 at the wheels

yeah awd tsi talen. running 24psi bring it you dumb fuck beaner. take your shitty jdm and go back to mexico

  • @FastClones HAHAHAHAH!!! first off im german italian irish and russian so suck a dick lol and yes running 550 horsepower on 15psi my tubo runs 32psi and my motor can handle 26psi so i think i win that one lol nice try though

  • fuck u xxjareebxx at least that beaner has a car!!!

  • @evesaul h22's r for fagets so dont trip

  • what relly is vtec??

im only 15 years old.,,not a pro tuner or msomething.,,just whant to know,,,my dad said its in computer box of car.(ICU) right??

    im confused

  • @omarbon23

honda developed system for controling the 16 valves work by two overhead shafts.

  • @vindrila actually every company has it just honda MASTERED it

  • Comment removed

  • @omarbon23 VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is a valvetrain system developed by Honda to improve the volumetric efficiency of a four-stroke internal combustion engine. This system uses two camshaft profiles and electronically selects between the profiles. I used Wikipedia, because it's 3:30am and I do not really know how to explain it to you on a personal level. Wikipedia - VTEC, that is all you gotta do, if you don't understand what some things mean, look them up =]

  • @omarbon23

Probably meant ECU. Not sure what Vtec is, I'm sure its just performance parts but there are ways of tweaking ECU's to add extra BHP.

  • @omarbon23 okay basically the put an extra rocker arm connected to the valves that alows the valves to stay open for an extra fraction of a second to let more air in for more power. vtec is engaged anywhere from 4.5k to 5.6k rpm.

  • @omarbon23 it's madd horsepowaaahs yo!! speed is based on decibels of sound not distance over time. if i could drive a trian horn i whould.

  • @omarbon23 if you ride dirtbikes a 2 stroke dirtbike has a powerband which is basically the same thing as vtec, if you thinking about building a honda and having it all motor (NO turbo) get a h22 dohc vtec do NOT get the h23 if you want a turbo with your car get a k20 dohc vtec or a k22 dohc vtec k20's are a lot of money though if you buy a k20 its around $6000.00

  • if they wanted speed and power they shouldnt of bought a honda.

  • OMG, people really dont have nothing else to do than come here to talk shit... Whats the problem of getting the most of the bolt in with air tool? Probably some of you "engine building pros" are too retarded to know when to stop.. so yes, can be dangerous for you guys... quit crying and bitching about something that doesnt make sense... The guy obviously knows what he's doing with the air tool or he would not use a torque wrench in the first place. As for the torquing sequence, you are right.

  • I was thinking the same thing;

    Torque wrench>>>>>>air tools

  • i cried at the end

  • A good idea, when assembling a motor,...is to use Torque wrench and, not air tools.

You may leave a chance of breaking, stripping and come back to haunt you later.JG

  • "Snugging up" with 1/4 inch air is cool, using 3/8 air and in the wrong tightening sequence, not cool.

  • average guy in a average shop using air tools on bolts he shouldn't be. Snap one off in the head dude then lets see you smiling. Chances are you won't be. Stop being lazy and use a wrachet then a torque wrench. Alot safer. Nothing special here. Kind of showing people the wrong way to build. Never use a air tool on oil pan or bolts on the head. Most of them require 25lbs or less torque.

  • @kittygirl4eva Totally agree. All delicate bolts should be fixed by hand tool and after that with good brand torque wrench to correct specs. If you want to go quickly, you can always use a "T" wrench for hand work.

On the video, builder tries to copy the same method used on engine rooms of well known factories. But their air tools are top of brand and are perfectly calibrated for every bolt at exact torques.

His tool needs perfect control of finger to do not exceed torque specs. Risky.

  • @Thunderwaff Anyway, I am sure the builder on this video has good control of the air tool.

Despite this, I am not in favor of using these tools for internal engine parts. It seems very nice, but it is dangerous for threads... Unless you have superb air tools and equipment.

  • @kittygirl4eva I agree...

  • @kittygirl4eva adoro esses mecanicos de youtube e esses engenheiros de videogame.... eles nunca tiveram 1 grama de graxa debaixo das unha, e sabem tudo ! (mas nao saem de tras do computador...)

  • @kittygirl4eva thats exactly what i was thinking, i may only be a 17 year old mechanic, but i sure as hell know you shouldnt use ANY air tools when rebuilding an engine, old fashion mechanics FTW XD

  • @kittygirl4eva One long ignorant paragraph you got there. The guy CLEARLY uses a torque wrench after airing through all the slack on those long bolts.

  • @kittygirl4eva when he uses an impact gun on the head bolts.... then complain, not that he used air tools on low settings to slowly put on a couple of bolts 2 times faster than by ratchet.

  • @kittygirl4eva there's nothing wrong with using an impact to get the screws started. and he used a torque wrench

  • Optimo build cara!

  • fucking noob, no airtools ever in assembling a motor!

  • @feARless556 he DID NOT torque the bolts.(he snugged them). with the air tool. and its not like theres sand in the threads. it just makes thing a little quicker....

  • @Cichlid180 With the low pressure he was using he might as well use a speed wrench, ive been building engines, V8s and 4 bangers for 11 years now and not once have I ever seen another engine builder use air tools unless tightning a main pully.
