well done i tyre pull train all my malamutes from 7mts why pull my arm off when they can pull something else . had a little boy say to his dad why is that dog pulling that tyre dad says to his son thats what that breed likes to do .nuff said.
huge dog! love the fluff!!! =) do you have to have a special harness for drafting? I have a 9mo german shepherd. He is so wild and wanting to do stuff. Do ya think drafting would be good for him to tire him out? lol
I've actually never heard of a Native American Indian Dog before they are beautiful and your boy is so sweet X3 I could never trust my Mal of leash XD do you get allot of questions when people see him pulling a stick?
I have my girl pull a tire till I can get her a cart and I get questions all the time one person even accused me of being cruel D:
Yeah, we've had quite a few people raise their eyebrows when they saw him pulling the log lol. We wanted to use a tire but we just never got around to going out and finding one. The stick worked well for getting him used to the noise of something dragging along behind him though.
We have also had people criticize us for having him drag around a stick and also for pulling the bike. These people just don't understand the dog's pure desire to be doing something useful.
ah to bad you don't live in Canada I could just give you one of my tires have you ever gotten around to getting him a cart or are you sticking with the bike for now?
people like that just frustrate me a normal walk just isn't good enough for allot of working dogs, I can only imagine the looks/questions I'll get when she starts to pull a cart.
He's not and AID, he's a NAID. They are two different breeds. He's 5 years old inthis video. He was just on a regular walk with me and my son, just getting used the the noise of something dragging behind him for when he pulls. This was in the very early stages of him learning to pull. He also had leash on him which prevented him from just taking off in a run. He now loves to be harnessed to my bicycle and pulling me on runs :)
