  • @sevilla84 Lmao that's what epi's do, the only work on half of your body... Awks...

  • 33 weeks along with my first and totally terrified of the big day :(

  • @OfficialCourtney Well i would say that your first labor should be on epi ( in my opinion ) Because it lasts longer, lot more pain to go through (in general at 1st child) then for 2nd and more labors you can go natural because it goes faster and better (in normal circumstances)

  • @OfficialCourtney i know right.

  • Epidural does not always work the way it's supose to. When my sister gave birth it only worked on half of her body. When a friend of mine gave birth they had to turn off the epidural because the baby was stressed. So if you do not find a way to manage pain whitout drugs you might panic if you cant get any.

  • Screw that natural birth crap. I want a seditive that could knock out Secretariet...

  • BRING ON THE DRUGS! YEAH! srsly, i've seen what goes on down there during birth and after seeing that, I've made the decision that if I have a baby then I will give birth COMPLETELY OUT OF IT. Injected, swallowed, whatever. My body will need DRUGS

  • STOP TRYING TO PREDICT WHEN THE LORD WILL COME IN THE BIBLE IT SAYS NO ONE WILL KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mrskarenkatz bitch!!!!!!!!!

  • I CANT READ

  • How can You Tell Women what They can and can’t do with Their Bodies?

While it is certainly true that a woman’s body is greatly impacted by pregnancy, it is not true that abortion is simply a matter of her choosing to do something with her body. The fetus growing within her womb is a separate person with its own distinct genetic makeup. Abortion does not remove some part of the woman’s body; it destroys the body of a separate, unique individual.

  • MY doctors were like oh u have a while before you have to start pushing you dont need one yet...my son came 15 mins later...I was in labor for only an hour

  • @MeowLove18 what do ou want ...... a effin cookie that you terminated his life????

  • @dorothyduray i didnt have an abortion..i would never!!! i was just saying how that the doctors were not looking out for me...I gave birth to my second son on Nov 2 2010 and im glad i had a normal birth..no meds at all!!! its work the pain

  • im 14 i want a baby but not yet like in my 20's but im not afraid of the baby coming out im afraid of the needle XD

  • What if you just hit them a few times with a frying pan?

  • numbs the lower half ONLY.... LOL thats HALF YOUR BODY NUMBED ! I HATE THis feeling when i go to the dentist, i can barely imagine how it feels on HALF of your body zomg

  • @yanirawr Imagine the pain of the baby trying to push out. Lol. That's sounds horrible...I'm kinda scared to have kids now. XD

  • @ubergirliz1 lol dont be scared, even though i dont know what im talking about, i can tell its worth it for sure!

  • @ubergirliz1 then you should sti\op having sex

  • @dorothyduray *stop. And I didn't say I don't want kids, I just am afraid of the pain. I will always be afraid of the pain. And who said I was having sex? And why are you in my business? Is it honestly affecting your life that much about whether I have sex or not, or whether I have kids or not? :/

  • Ok I've read so many of these against Epi, and so many that basically say if you have one (or pain relief) you are somehow not having a baby "correctly", or are somehow less of a woman or mother.

For me epi lowered my risk from a *longer* labor, my labor went faster, I know I enjoyed it much more and it was "calmer".

When you have been in hard labor for over 15 hours or more, are not making progress (walk walk, showers etc). You are not a FAILURE if you have pain relief. Even a doula agreed!

  • @neurocadence People saying youre a failure or not a real mom for not going through real labor are just simply jealous lol... seriously... jealous of less pain you had and trying to find a way to feel better about the pain they went through theirselves. sry for bad english. hope it made you feel better lol if u understand it

  • @neurocadence Yeah, don't listen to them. I've never had a child, but OMG. That pain just aghhhh. My friend is 7 months. She's having a girl. :) My other friend already had her baby a little more than a year ago, it was a girl, and she was limping after she gave birth.

  • Shame it doesn't mention the risks

  • @OstrichesEverywhere7 risks are everywhere even when you walk on the street

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a go

  • Ive been induced 3 times. My last birth was only gas-it was fukn awesome haha the other 2 were with epidural-hated it, simply HATED it. dont do it if you feel you can do without (ok so i asked for something more 10mins before i actually gave birth-sheeet was i high or what haha!)

  • I have no choice but to go at childbirth naturally. I am more afraid of a needle and being cut up via c-section than the pain.

  • Why does it seem having a baby is easier than having sex the first time? The pain is way worse.. yet I'm more excited to be pregnant. Knowing that my Hoo-Ha is going to be ripped apart by an angel sounds happier. Why? lol

  • in my case epidural simply didn't work! :-( And after 14hours labor 9 of witch really terrible through induction I was so counting on it!!!! Baby came to the world other 7,5 hours later!!! (But after few minutes I was the happiest ever! ;-))

  • Women are BEASTS. =)

  • Respect to my mother, seriously, home delivery, no pain relief, she is one tough woman :)

  • "every woman will feel some pain while having a baby" SOME PAIN? IM PUSHIN A 7 LB THING THROUGH MY HOO-HAH AND THE DOCTORS EXPECT ME TO "breathe"? GIMME THT DAMNED EPIDURAL!!

    THUMBS UP IF U AGREE!!!

  • @TJnJadasmommy Also - you say "laying there" in pain... were you on the bed? That WOULD increase the pain level you experienced too! Being able to move freely is so important for a natural labour (got me through the birth of my term daughter, and the 9 hours of labour before the emergency caesar with my preterm son). If you were stuck to a bed then that certainly would have made you feel the contractions more, I was stuck for hours like that with my son after neeing monitoring. Hurts a lot more.

  • Fuck that. I'm never giving birth.

  • totally against this

  • @ TJnJadasmommy - the epi was definately the way to go for you honey! But I do agree, it was your state of mind that called for it. Mynaturalchildbirth is right to say our hormones help us with the pain - but this only happens if we are not sending adrenaline through our bodies!! Your intense fear was doing just that, so the pain killing hormones would not have been effective for you. For women who are prepared to birth naturally, there are MANY pain relieving techniques without medication.

  • @MicroPreemieMum Yeah, bad thing is I did SO good girl, SO good until the contractions got unbareable! I started crying and didn't even mean to. I was like, oh my god I'm crying lol. Yes, I agree but I wasn't ready for natural birth, my ex hubby (or hubby at the time) was dead set against and epidural. Which I thought was BS he wasn't the one laying in pain like that.

But it all worked out for the best! :-)

  • @ Nativehoney5 - I fully agree!! I got through a two day labour with my posterior presenting baby perfectly fine without medication. Yes it was uncomfortable, yes I could have taken pain meds. But the overwhelming joy and the feeling of accomplishment was wonderful! Even better was watching my newborn crawl to the breast (something that infants of medicated mums cannot do) That was worth all the pain! I had an emegency caesar the following pregnancy and HATED the epidural. Natural CAN be good!!!

  • You don't have to be in pain, that is a common misconception. There are many factors that cause pain in childbirth. One is the Mommas state of mind, the body's reaction to fearful thoughts is to clinch up in an attempt to protect itself, when your body is trying to open to allow your baby to come down and you are clinching up it is causing a great deal of resistance, and yes pain. You must prepare yourself to fully except and embrace birth and allow yourself to relax and open without fighting it.

  • You don't have to be in pain, that is a common misconception. There are many factors that cause pain in childbirth. Throughout pregnancy great preparation is in order to release all fears and go into it with perfect trust.

  • oooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Although it may sound tempting to get rid of pain, it can actually cause more pain. By numbing the lower half you are limiting use of the lower half of your body, which is the very part of your body that births your baby. That slows down your progress because your body is'nt able to work at full capacity. If you pass on the drugs your body is then able to release it's own pain killer hormones that work perfectly and help your progress without slowing you down.

  • @mynaturalchildbirth I'm not sure if you remember what you said here. But I just wanted to say if it hadn't been for my epidural I KNOW i would have been in pain and in labor for MUCH longer. I couldn't calm down, I was crying and couldn't stop. But when I got my epidural I calmed down ALOT and FINALLY dilated all the way. So I think it's unfair to apply that to EVERY woman. No woman is the same, why be in pain if you don't have to?

  • @TJnJadasmommy i agree with u!

  • @mynaturalchildbirth

Sorry, after being stuck at about 3cm for almost 10 hours I was given an epidural. (My blood pressure was getting up there, but she wanted to avoid a C section. ) In 2 hours I went to fully dilated and effaced. About an hour or so pushing and my son was born. (total labor was 37 hours)

    Son #2.. worse labor

Son #3 I said forget it, give me the epidural. Quiet, calm beautiful delivery, dimmer lights.. New epidural I was not "gone". I felt plenty of pressure, which is good.

    o

  • @mynaturalchildbirth ... yeah so true. i opted for a epidural with my oldest son and i ended up with complication wich headed us towrds caesarian. all my other children were dun without and drugs and they were perfect deliveries.

  • @mynaturalchildbirth I don't believe so, I was trying to have my baby natural but my blood pressure became irregular and I would have had a stroke if I had not taken the epidural shot. But everyone has different pain tolerance. My baby delivered herself while I was sleeping. I woke up and she was half way out of my body. My husband had to rush to get my mid-wife. No complications and I am proud to say she is 19 months today:

  • @mynaturalchildbirth hmm i didn't know that, thanks

  • I really dont understand something,

I've never experienced it, and I never will LOL

but why don't men seem to understand that having something about 1/10th her whole size, and a few hundred times, maybe a thousand times the size of her vagina, come out of her, through the vagina, is painful ?

    lol

  • my mom was 5 ft 3, but she was also born in 1950, when medical technology was nowhere near as good, and back when the food was nowhere near as nutritious as it is today.

I eat an orange now, and my mom ate the same orange, back in 1950....

    I get more nutrients everytime.

    that explains the average size.

  • fact :

6 ft 0 is VERY tall for a human lol

most men are 5 ft 10, is the national average for the united states, for both men and women.

its just that men, are MORE likely to exceed the average, than women.

  • genmar87, your choice of words about being a REAL woman for not using pain relief during delivery offends me. I see a veiled criticism in that statement, and I know about childbirth, having had four children myself. Are you bragging?

  • Why didn't they include sitting in a tub of hot water???

  • More women should know that there an non drug ways of pain management. And babies do a whole lot better without it

  • @nativehoney5 more men should be forced to shut the fuck up about what women do with their bodies.

    :)

  • @Macquarie81186

I'm not a man, so I don't understand how this commet applys. And babies are more alert and sucessful with latching on when they aren't introduced to medication. So maybe you should research on alternative pain numbing methods before making comments.

  • @nativehoney5 that comment should cost you 1 year in the county jail.

(the longest incarceration in the united states, without being in prison)

    LOL

  • women have the right to choose how to give birth, whether natural or aided by drugs or medical procedures. it's her body .

  • nice also wäre geil wen sich jemand findet für mia

  • @rocknrollrocks777 fact : most men cannot play football, because most men cannot handle the physical abuse of it.

bet you didnt know that, did you ?

    hahahaha

so all that macho shit, is just that...

    shit ! lol

its just a load of shit to brainwash themselves.

btw, this is comming from a man who played high school football for 3 years.

it takes a huge, muscular person with a high tolerance for pain, to play football.

  • @rocknrollrocks777 the average football career for a lineman is only 10 years, with the clock starting to tick the very second he turns into a rookie pro for the NFL.

by the time that 10 years is up, he's barely able to walk, with a cane.

  • For a lot of you people who don't know. Not all births are the same. If you go through it in a breeze, that means that your vagina is more "open" or it's more "elastic". Not all women are the same, especially those women who get pregnant their first time having sex. So, you can't call a woman weak for having an epidural because all women are strong for carrying a baby for 9 months, going into labor for X HOURS, recovering and then constantly caring for a newborn for 12+ months. It's work.

  • why was this related to a moher 3 video? -.-

  • LOL Is there an epidural with your name on it. With 3 rapid births there was no time for me to have epidurals, or pain relief and all the water birthing tubs were booked. So I just did it the natural way, told to stop pushing, when the cord was wrapped around my sons neck twice and daddy cut his cord and he was born healthy.

  • Epidural!

  • i don't wanna have a baby now......

  • the epidural looks painful.

  • I was in labor for 26 hours stuck at just over 7cm for HRS, contractions coming every MINUTE I was vomitting&shaking like crazy. My husband tried 2soothe me by massage(didnt want any of that 4the last 10hrs)& let me hold on him while I rocked back&forth. Birth ball was great, They were about 2break my water-I waited 4as long as possable doing everything "naturally"& I caved@ last minIdecited to get epi.Im disapointed@myself but Im also proud.I was on the highest lvl pitocin for +10hrs w/no meds!

  • my epidural failed... can i sue? but im still alive and i had two kids natural c-sections kill you... my mom had so many complications after having hers and i only had one c-section i could even imagine having another one natural is “natural“ ppl...

  • @sunflowerinthesky27 Why would you sue for a failed epidural? I don't understand..you want money because you had pain during labor? If you're all about the natural then why are you bitching about not having the epidural work. You sound so American asking if you can sue. Make your own money with your brain and don't waste peoples time and make your hospital cost more because you are selfish.

  • While every pregnant woman will feel some pain during labor...I think thats an understatement

  • Let us populate the Earth so that somebody will survive when we bombarded with TSAR.

  • epidural is pathetic and can cause even more pain afterwards. suck it up or have the gas or a bath or several showers or pethadine or other alternative non invasive treatments for pain relife! birth is birth for a reason

  • EPIDURAL. In my coutry we cal it "Stupid Johny"

  • Want unmedicated pain management? Hire a Doula!! :)

  • @landcmg

not everyone one can afford one.

  • im a docter and everything they sed it rong.

  • @kooziejr ...what kind of doctor could you be...you cant even spell!

  • @TheNeonAngel

May be English is not his/her native language... never thought of that? People dont speak English worldwide by the way. Its called GEOGRAPHY and CULTURAL DIFFERENCES.

  • THAT'S THE SIZE OF THE NEEDLE?!! I'd rather experience the birth than have that enormous metal rod shoved into my spine!!

  • shut da fag up! hahahaha

  • In truely undisturbed birth women release oxytocin the hormone of love in larger quantities than when we orgasim! This is a natural analgesic (pain killer). However, when women are fearful (even subconsciously) adrenaline and noradrenaline are released and oxytocin is inhibited, thus go into the "flight or fight reflex". Oxytocin is also responsible for uterine contractions, hence when scared or disturbed labour stops.

  • Id rahter give birth standing up because its the fastest, most easiest way of giving birth

  • lol I think it's funny how you can see the DOCTORS eyes move as she's reading something. That gives me confidence to know that she know's what she's doing during labor time.

  • @TattooGirl

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that there is no way in hell she'll need a script when attending a labor and delivery.

That was a really, really f-ing stupid piece criticism to make. Over a stinking queue-card.

  • @DrSandmann

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that your comment was really f-ing stupid if you took mine seriously. Mine was more of a rhetorical statement.

  • @TattooGirl

    Yeah. Sure it was.

  • @DrSandmann

Again....that was ANOTHER rhetorical statement I made.

  • Tell my girlfriend all of this you guys are saying, not this fat-ass in the video that has probably never had a child in her life. She says she wants her first child to be natural, which is odd, I didn't think she would tell me! We are not even married! (Yet.) You have to be responisble about these things, the same thing applies for all ages. Hope you guys all have great lives!

  • heigerade ziemlich kuschelbedürftig wer möchte mit mir chilln hab auch ne web cam

  • Muhammad Aziz, a Kurdish victim of chemical gases during the bombardment of Halabja on march 16 1988 He is a candidate for lung transplant there are studies that suggest that the drug, Interferon, may have benefit in slowing the decline related to bronchiolitis obliterans. The drug that is typically used in the studies has been Interferon. The dose in most of these studies is a dose of 200 mcg three times weekly. The current cost here in the United States for this drug

  • this has nothing to do with "toughness" and no epidural does not hurt the baby. Of course the best way would be to go natural but it is a personal choice. If i can, i will take epidural (and any other painkillers that are not harmful) childbirth is natural but it's certainly not easy, and some women NEED epi. to go on with the birth..

  • @imoan631 women in this country are coached to believe that birth will be too painful for them to handle. And yes, epidurals on their own might not be harmful, but they often slow down labor which requires other drugs and further interventions, and have a much higher rate of c-sections --> major surgery and much longer and more painful recovery than the birth itself.

I hate how this video mocks someone who might indeed want to "breathe through labor." why did youtube feature this?

  • @iip202 well, the longer you end up staying in the hospital, the bigger your bill will be. If you tell a woman you can't handle the pain, and you HAVE to take the epi, I guess you pay for every choice you make. But this is life, pain is inevitable, suffering is optional though, don't just give up w/o even trying.

  • Um ok that is a very cool video an also painful to look at especially when you about how thats gonna feel

  • @delfin23o its my first pregnancy too. ive always wanted to have a water birth. i suffer from anxiety and i think a nice calm water birth would help.

  • @caseylove19 Water births are the further-est from "calming" <.<" Especially if it's your first child, your vagina isnt used to being stretched and you risk having your child inhaling more fluids when he/she is born, unless you have a set of practiced midwives at your side.

  • nope im having my baby NATURAL... no epidoral nothin....i herd that an epidoral can mess u up like when they go to enject it if u move it will mess u up

  • @614lazy you just try not to move lol

  • lol i've never had a baby b4 but im planning...and i want my 1st one to be natural~!~

  • @614lazy my sister got an epideral and the nuse didnt know what she was doing so they had to do it three times. im not risking that.

  • yeah thats why i said im not having an epidoral!!

  • haha, when you go into labor you're going to regret saying this.

  • @caseylove19 that again is why i said im NEVER having an epideral

  • good that im a man and dont have to do this. but srsly women r pretty tough concerning that they do it

  • in Italy they give you an epidurial and it wears off after 2 hours and they dont give you more!!!! what is the point then????

  • the epidural its bad for the baby

  • no it's not

  • well, some women say that their labour was not so bad. I can tell you that during my delivery, I fainted like 5 times - the pain was THAT bad! So there is no way I'll have my next baby without an epidural!

  • I'd like to see the men who are all for natural birth to have babies. I'm just sayin'.

  • hey

  • hehe, only kidding! I wouldn't wish that pain on ANYone. I don't even know if I want kids because of it... I'm wimpy :(

  • @Bordeaux90 you should have one child and then decide. When the pain hits you manage it naturally or with meds

  • @lubnaa weeellll I'm only 19, but I was only joking with my comment. A man who claims that natural birth is the only way to go would be the equivalent of a woman saying that a shot to the testicles isn't that big of a deal. lol... we all each have our unique tolerance of pain.

  • @Bordeaux90 lol i love that answer. men cant say ANYTHING about just "breathing" throught the pain.

  • @caseylove19 haha thanks! Perhaps men should keep emergency epidurals in case they are struck in the bawlz as well. Unless they're rapists. Then they deserve it. :D

  • also it was a natural birth

  • before my first child,i told anybody who would listen that i will have an epidural the first chance i got !

as it turned out i had three children with not an epidural to be seen, it really never got to the point where i needed one, the sense of achievement you have afterwards is indescribable.

if my daughter ever has children i would say to her, keep an open mind and just see what happens.

at the end of the day a womans body knows what it is doing.

  • @topliff12345 I just had my first baby in Aug its a boy and when i had him i had him naturally. They said i was too far into the labor to get an epidural. After i had him i was like. That wasnt that bad. especially after i had a false labor a week b4, it was just like that except my son was actually coming ^^....I admit it really does hurt but not as bad as everyone told me it would. it isnt actually the worse pain in the world i think...Its the recovery part thats the worst.

  • I Gave birth naturally and its not that bad!! woman who use the epidural are just pussy's -im using my boyfriends account

  • ha i agree i had drug free labour and would do it again, i think the pain and feeling if labour and birth is amazing!

  • well, all I know is that I had an epidural with my first child and it allowed me to relax and sleep til I could dilate fully to a 10. Then I was able to continue with labor. If I hadn't taken it, I am not sure I could've been able to relax enough to go through the rest of the labor, I was very tired by that point and I was not progressing.

  • I like the idea of epidural. I want it! I dont think it is a sin if I want the pain relief during birth giving. I admire women who dont take it. But it really doesnt encourage! The pain must b sooooo terrible!

  • some pain lol

  • Yes. The best will still be natural birth. My wife went through natural birth

  • Yeah but you never told em about the risks, It COULD cause paralysis if it goes wrong so i heard.

  • Why do you folks give negative points to facts? Hospitals are deceiving us and most choose to look the other way. The above statement is 100% true.

Please folks. Don't allow the pharmaceutical and medical companies blind you to the truth by just taking what they say as fact. They're businesses who are out to make money just like any other. Many of them don't care how they do it.

I'm not saying ALL of them are bad. It's just up to US to do the research and not just count on what we're spoon fed

  • I'd rather go as natural as possible. If the pain was that horrible people either wouldn't have kids so much or there wouldn't be such a surge in natural birthing.

It's not necessarily going to be a fun thing but it will be worth it once I hold my baby. :)

  • fully agree!also there is a high chance for mothers who dont go natural nor to have milk.i mean can not breastfeed, thats what happen to most all my friends.and reason was unnatuural birth.

  • @londonqik2 your friends didn't try hard enough- with a c section(which is not natural) milk doesn't come in after 4 days, if you are patient enough you can breastfeed your baby. You dont just sit there and expect milk to come either, you have to have some sort of stimulation or suction so you have to have the baby try to bfeed

  • Hmm, no mention of doulas. Why is that? Doulas can help reduce pain through her skilled support, comfort, and pain management techniques. Also, the video says NOTHING about the risks of using pain medication. All of them pass through the placenta can can affect the baby. If you're going to list the options for the mother to choose, list the risks so she can make an informed choice. And always offer a doula as a choice!

  • This is sooooo bad. Women are being drugged up in the hospital and it's killing babies. Women are very strong. They have been made to believe that they are weak and need these things. They need this because it's difficult for a woman to give birth on her back. It's counterproductive. The woman needs to move. Midwives and unassisted have a WAY LESSER MORTALITY rate because it's how nature intended it. Please research and don't let "modern" medicine scare our powerful women.

  • amen!

  • Go ahead and give my comment negative points. It truly doesn't matter. What matters is that those who did so are so blinded by the medical illusion, they don't look at the facts. It's a FACT that home births have less of a mortality rate than hospital births. LOOK IT UP.

Also, they give you Pitocin. It's a FAKE Oxytocin. That's the hormone that is release in natural birth. It doesn't happen with an epidural, so they have to give you the fake one.

Oxytocin helps mom and baby bond. Please read!

  • oxytocin that you produce when in the last stages of labour is bloody fantastic !

i felt incredible afterwards, and could of stood on a rooftop shouting LOOK WHAT I HAVE CREATED!!!!!

  • What! its not a matter of being strong or not! its a choice and a personal one!

  • You're absolutely right and I completely agree with you. However, it is important that women see both sides of this. My wife is having our baby at home and people gasp when they hear this. Most believe that a home birth is not possible. What the heck did women do before hospitals? It's a natural process. It is VERY possible and, in most cases, SAFER.

If a women chooses to drug herself and her baby up, yes, it's up to her. They tell you not to take drugs while pregnant. Yet they pump you full.

  • Instead of just giving my statement negative points, why don't you just tell me what's wrong with my post? I'm trying to empower women who don't know of their options. Please reply with why you think what I'm stating is negative.

  • @nelsonbig I can tell you why. Women who want the easy way out of birth don't want to feel guilty about giving their baby drugs, so they down-vote any advice that means they might have to work a little harder.

Sure, it's your choice, but it's informed by hospital marketing, and not people who care most about mother and baby's health.

  • @zzheavensdoor thank you thank you lol im all for natural delieveries...however my case i was progressing slowly and wasnt resting well...soon as i had the meds i went from 3 cm to 10 in a couple of hours and i was able to sleep....pluss it wore off in t ime for delivery so i was able to push effectively =]

  • Guys, wat can u compare the pains of labour to...? it looks horrible! would it help 2 cry!???? lol

  • Multiply your most painful menstural cramps by about 1 billion and thats labor pains!

  • ouch.

  • lmao wow exactly what clicked in my mind...really i wish to hear a good explanation from guys around..

  • Childbirth is very painful, and i think that how you should go about pain management during delivery , should be determined by your own personal pain threshold, I have had three ways, c-section with epidural, Vaginal with epi and natural, I prefer Natural to all of them. I had my epi 17 yrs. ago and still sometimes when i bend over i get a sharp pinch in my back where the Epi was placed.....

  • I had an epidural and I didn't even feel the needle.

  • LovelyBlackLace, re your question on Epi and needles etc. You will not get Epi until labour is well established, so the fear of an injection will be rubbed out by those crashing, agonizing pains. Trying to stay still for the few mins it takes to get Epi is the only problem. You won't see needle, or care as you will be dealing with pain of labour. Ignore all the propaganda against Epi. Its heaven. Some of the comments here amaze me. Are these people masochists? Do they ENJOY pain?

  • Here in the Netherlands where women deliver at home, a male doctor said that most of them are not "prepared" what to "expect" and that one can't wake up an anesthesist at night "just for that"

  • boring vid

  • Is There no side effects to this injection ???

  • Women used to be brainwashed into thinking doctors were always right. Now they think midwives and "natural" birth are always right. I found the pain of birth horrendous, used to get flashbacks afterwards. Gas, waterbirth, massage were all useless. On my last baby I had the epidural. My God, it was Heaven! Forget all the negative spin. My baby is fine, I had no headache etc. and felt great after such an easy birth. Be aware that "natural" birth can be awful, too.

  • I heard that the injection into your spine is excruciating. Did that hurt? Isn't there risk of being paralyzed from an epidural?

  • I'm guessing it hurts a lot less than childbirth.

  • I've never had a child myself, but after hours and hours of contractions, you probably wouldn't even care.

  • Hi. I had a question. I am afraid of needles. One sight of the stinger and im knocked out cold on the floor. They stress me out, and its silly because its not a big deal. How would you say it was to handle? Is there any pain? lol. in other words, Juicy details please! Lol. Thanks in advance!

  • well, human beings just like all other living organisms, mammals have the same way and the only way for delivering the baby i.e. thru the vagina but since we are humans and if not physically but mentally superior to other animals, there is this artificial i.e. c-section/cesarean delivery incase of complications or incase of weak mother.. now this has happened becoz of the modern lifestyles and women wanting to do everything men do and forgetting they are women not men : there is a difference.
