Calzaghe had his chance to be big, someone important, a fighter that could have achieved greatness by fighting Jones, Chad Dawson, Kelly Pavlik, Hopkins, Jackson and McClellan, but instead we saw Pudwill, Veit, Salem and many others like them. For me, that puts Calzaghe as the worst champion ever.

he fought at super middle, dawson is a light heavy. hopkins was the best in the division. he was made to fight manfredo by wbo cos taylor was supposed to fight the winner, he fought bika cos he was a name inamerica and on showtime, bika was a tough fight and a good tune up for kessler fight, kessler is a world class fightwer and still the best in the division, he pulled out of fight with johnson cos of his hand problems, johnson was passed it anyway, he wouldnt of exactly cemented his legacy

Kabary salem is a good fighter & a good man. He gave joe cal his 1st real test & did it while having less fights & less experience than Joe. Joe himself recognized how tough Kabary was & how close he got to be upset. Carl Froch in his quest to getting a fight with Joe used the Kabary fight as an example of how youth,heart & power can beat calzaghe. Lacy had strength -not power- & no heart. God bless Kabary Salem!

carl froch thats who manfredo/hopkins/jones all well past it manfredo was a joke if joes so good why didnt he fight froch the best boxer in the country benn n eubank and collins did it and joe doesnt like flying could of stayed at home should of fought froch that would have changed my mind about him

FROCH was defending his british title while calzaghe was unifying the division, why fight froch when u could fight a known american on showtime? he was made to fight manfredo by ibf, taylor was supposed to fight winner but wanted too much money. but benn collins and eubank were the best in the division, the world, collins vacated his title when joe stepped into world level. he would of outboxed froch and people would of said he should of fought dawson, then it would of been abraham, then dirrell
